This was my 1st color experience at rooted organic beauty...was great! Loved the clean/non-toxic products they use for coloring hair! And no ammonia! And smells soooo much better! And Mickaela did my hair...would highly recommend her! She did a fabulous job! 👌👌

Today I went for the first time at this cute salon and I absolutely love it! I feel so great finally finding a salon that I feel so good about going to. They use all organic products and I just love the vibe here. Mickaela was my stylist and she was so easygoing and laidback. She provided a lot of support for me during this hair transformation. I cut off 10 inches today and I was so scared. She was patient and empathetic. I’m very particular in who I let cut my hair and it’s been years since I have cut my hair. I gave this spot a chance and I couldn’t be happier. She helped me gather my hair for the donation I was doing and she provided guidance for my hair care. I already booked my next maintenance cut and this will be my go to spot. Thank you Mickaela! <3 I’m so happy and grateful! :-)

First time balayage and Mickaela did a phenomenal job. Not even 10 minutes after I left someone complimented how pretty my hair looked at a nearby shop. Will be back!

I called before booking my appointment and talked to Kara about what I was looking for in a cut. She helped me decide what option to choose from online and I booked my appointment for the next day with Sarah. She is polite, enjoyable and easy to talk to. She did a great job listening to what I wanted and I’m very pleased with the results. I will definitely request her in the future. The shop itself is super cute, intimate and full of charm. This is a special place and I’m glad I found it.

I’m so happy I found a place for hair color and care done organically. My scalp doesn’t burn after processing and the color lasts. Plus Kara’s personalized styling for my hair is great!

Just had my first haircut appointment with Gina, and she was a doll! I’d had a bad haircut several months ago (somewhere else) that I’ve been trying to grow out. Gina did a great job of helping blend it in with layers, and my hair looks so much better! Already set up an appointment with her for Balayage next month!

Kara Elaine cut my hair again since moving to the area. She is such a warm, welcoming and talented stylist and has made such a difference to my hair style and ease of management of my hair. I am so grateful for her expertise and experience. I appreciate how present she is during the appointment; always asking questions and making sure the cut is pleasing to me. She is a treasure to behold.

I came to Rooted and made a same-day appointment after having a botched haircut at another salon, where it was cut 4 inches shorter than I wanted and had no movement or layers. Claire fixed my hair and it’s much better! She was understanding and empathetic and listened to all my concerns, and now I actually like my hair lol. And I was basically having a panic attack when I walked in. The owner, Kara, is so sweet and gave me some tips to help my hair grow. Everyone there was extremely kind and the salon is clean and well-decorated. I am switching salons and seeing Claire here from now on!

I genuinely had an incredible experience at Rooted Organic Beauty. Gina was seriously fantastic! She is super talented and listened intently to what I wanted. The salon is great and I felt even better about supporting a business that cares so much about organic products. This is by far the best salon experience I've had in Tennessee - honestly this is the best salon experience I've ever had! Also, be sure to stop at Nectar across the street for a margarita mocktail and avocado fries!

I highly recommend Rooted Organic Beauty. Every 4 weeks for over a year now, I get my hair done by Maddison who uses clean, nontoxic products on my hair. Each time, she and the services provided are over the top excellent and I always leave feeling loved, seen and cherished!

I was happy to find an organic hair salon and loved the option to book a quiet appointment! However, while the stylist was very nice, she for some reason did not finish drying my wavy hair after she asked me if I wanted it styled naturally. I didn’t say anything as maybe she had another client coming in and my hair can take a while to diffuse - understandable. It is quite difficult to actually see the haircut when the hair is wet. When I got home I finished diffusing my hair and then proceeded to fix the uneven front pieces for the next 30 mins - unevenness that I couldn’t see while my hair was still wet. The back was fine, but for the $100 I paid it’s extremely disappointing to have needed to fix a haircut that was a basic trim. Likely won’t return which is a shame given the clean products used.

Maddison did such a great job on my maintenance cut! Her blowout skills are unmatched. The best part is getting your hair wash in the most chill room in the salon 🧖‍♀️

First time at the salon and had a wonderful experience!! Gina was so sweet and helped me decide the right cut for my current lifestyle and what I was going for style wise! I was doing a pretty significant chop and she did an incredible job- booked her already for my next cut. I also LOVE that they use really great quality products that avoid toxins and what not!

I had an awesome cut and color with Gina! My hair is incredibly shiny. I loved this cute salon and loved that they used organic products. I met my people in the chairs next to me, talking about alternative health topics. Then I hit Nectar for some food. You can add a head massage in to your shampoo - what else do you need?!

I was really happy with my experience at Rooted Organic Beauty this afternoon. Got an almost painless upper lip waxing from Clare and a haircut from Maddison. Her shampoo skills are first rate. She listened to what I wanted for my hair and made sure I was happy with the final result.

Update: The owner of the salon and I have spoken and come to an agreement that what actually happened and was communicated to me by the stylist was different than what the stylist explained to her, and that her reply to my original review was based on what she was told. The owner has offered to personally consult and work with me to offer her best solution or refund. That's great! It's my hope that we find a hair color solution and be offered hair treatments that help mitigate damage, and I can continue to go to this salon with confidence. I'm changing my review from 2 stars to 3 stars, and will update again post working out a solution. Original Review: I really wanted to love this salon. I love all things natural, and the idea that the products are more "clean" sold me to give them a try. I went twice, the first time I got a haircut and a whole head of baby lights, which was booked as a balayage. Amanda was kind and seemed like she wanted to make sure that I got what I was asking for. I only had 2 complaints from the first appointment, and would have given it 4 stars if I had done the review sooner. She did a root melt, and it was brassy immediately, and the hair cut was uneven by at lease 1/2 in in different places. Since I curl my hair most of the time, it's not as noticeable, and eventually I used purple shampoo to lessen the brassiness. The second time I went, the plan was to do an upkeep toner, and come back in 4 weeks for a full balayage again. Upon arrival, I told her that I REALLY like the shade of blonde it was currently, I just wanted it to look fresh. I don't know what she chose color wise, but my hair was SEVERAL shades DARKER. It's pretty dark inside the salon so I could tell it was darker, but I didn't realize how much until I got home. I wasn't planning to say anything, but then I decided to, because I hoped she could fix it before I left on vacation. I wanted to be blonde. Basically Amanda said there really isn't a fix that doesn't do more damage. The salon doesn't give refunds. So basically I paid the salon, and tipped Amanda to do exactly the opposite of what I wanted. When I said as much to her, she indicated that what I booked a toner (which is what she recommended) was not what I needed to do. I said that if that was the case, it would have been prudent to educate me of that fact before she knowingly did something I wasn't asking for. Another thing though, when I first got the balayage she clearly put a toner on it to give me the blonde shade that I had, which is much lighter than the results of the second time. Wouldn't it have made sense to use the same toner as what was first put on it. Yeah, it would. So I say all in all 2 stars, because the salon doesn't refund or provide fixes when their stylists mess up, and also, they hire stylists that know better, and still mess your hair up ON PURPOSE. (Headshot is 2 weeks after first appt. Side by side shows on left my blonde shade 5 days before my 2nd appt, the right is the day after the 2nd appt- my blonde was literally covered up.)
