I had gotten three haircuts here from a barber named "Gene" and been very happy with them. Last time I went in, I was told Gene had moved away, and new people were there; I spoke to a women a to get an appointment, but when I showed up a different man cut my hair. He was dressed in a old T-shirt and jeans and seemed very distracted through the whole cut. It was one of the worst haircuts I've ever received in my life...very unevenly cut, with big jagged bits around the ears and neckline, big hunks taken out around the back. My wife had to clean it up when I got home, but there was only so much that could be done, given how chunks had been taken out of some spots. He even left big strips of my neck hair unshaved with the clippers. Wild stuff. Very sorry to have lost Gene who could reliably cut my hair well for a good price, and very worried about how staffing decisions are made at this location when someone leaves... I have mid-length curly hair which is harder to cut, but if someone can't do it, they should say so before starting. Maybe this guy can operate some electric clippers on short hair, but I can do that at home, but I wouldn't trust him to cut anything else. Yikes.

Still my go to place for a haircut in Gainesville. Can't got wrong. Have had my hair cut by several different staff and they all turned out well.

Why bother having people make an appointment when you don't honor it and just treat them like a walk in? I was there 5 minutes before my scheduled time but they took at least two others who came in after me. Garbage people doing garbage work.

Did something completely different than what I asked for. Did a skin taper cutting everything extremely shorter than ask. Will never go again

Very pleased with my cut. Jordan was spot on, kind greeting from walking in, dedicated to his profession. The establishment was very clean, well lit so the professionals there can actually see what they're cutting, prompt, and efficient. I came in unannounced they took me from a mid length style to a fade pompadour in roughly 15 minutes. Tidied up with scissors and paid close attention the contours of my scalp to make for a professional looking, polished cut. Thank you Jordan. I hope to visit again. As for the other reviews ranting about service dogs, I'm sorry, your establishment does not deserve that. To the person who wrote this: if you are having a hard time and your dog pal helps that's great. But for other of us, the majority, your dog and any other dog in a place that first and foremost is supposed to be relaxing and hygienic, your furry pal brings anxiety no matter how well behaved you think they are and how clean you might think they are. Do us all a favor, stop gaslighting great businesses where people work hard, do a professional job, and particularly like this one when you clearly have the technology to call or text ahead, identify if there are any times you can visit when a dog or parrot or imaginary friend can attend, or even ask if a barber can visit you. Wake up call: many barbers have past military experience and have anxiety too, get it, and might help with a home visit.

my husband has gotten haircuts here a few times now and they're consistently great. decent prices, good haircuts, my 6 y/o got a haircut here as well & they were very attentive to him and his requests/needs. very friendly and helpful barbers/stylists. highly recommend.

Honestly some of the worst service I’ve ever had in my life there rushing people in and out the chairs not friendly when you walk in ohh and did I forget to mention this is an all white barbershop that can only cater to white men if your a black male like me please don’t go here seriously the worst tape I ever got in my life
