Laura is not only an amazing hairdresser, she is a hilarious, kind and talented human. I started going to Laura when she was at a different salon in Raleigh and followed her when she opened up her own spot. She listens to what I want, provides great feedback when I’m unsure and is also game to try new styles. She is honest about what she thinks will look best on clients when asked and I always leave the salon with a smile on my face. From highlights, balayage, glaze and all that’s in between, every color I have tried, she makes it look incredible. I love Raleigh Roots!

After getting a not so great haircut elsewhere I went to Laura to fix my hair and she did an amazing job, I love my hair now! Laura makes you feel welcome the second you walk in and truly takes the time to understand what you want. She even spent time with me after my haircut to show me tricks to styling my hair to give me the look I wanted. Laura is fantastic at what she does and I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Laura is the best! She highlighted my hair last October for my brothers wedding and still to this day I get compliments on my highlights. I told her I wasn’t the type to regularly go to the salon and somehow she did it in a way that she knew it would grow out perfectly. Not only that, but the conversation/vibe was amazing. And she even had a fridge full of drinks and snacks. Just recently she did a big chop on my girlfriend. The way she left smiling ear to ear after being so nervous leading up to the appointment is something I really couldn’t put a price tag on. Laura will leave you full of happiness, confidence, and snacks. 12/10. Can’t recommend enough.

To put it simply, Laura is the best. I’ve been going to her now since I believe 2019 and I’ve never looked back. She’s so down to earth, funny and damn good at what she does. I call her an artist because what she does with my hair is nothing short of art. Beautiful art. And I’m happy to let my head of hair be her canvas. If you are looking for the best head massages, color, cut, style, and conversation with an all around wonderful person…You need to book with her ASAP! And for those who don’t like to talk and just want to enjoy sitting and getting their hair done, she’s down for that too 😊

Laura is absolutely incredible. Her space is private, calm, homey and very welcoming. She has a soft touch and truly cares about your likes/wants. She takes great pride in doing a good job and you can tell it means a lot to her to make her clients happy. She made me feel beautiful and I don't often feel that way. The cut and style was done to suit my face. Safe to say she killed it! I highly highly recommend her. She is my go to!

Laura is incredible. I had wanted to change salons because although my last was fine, I felt like I kept trying to communicate what I wanted to change (nothing too drastic) and the previous stylist just wouldn’t quite execute. Laura sat with me as long as needed to explain how my hair would react with the cut I wanted due to its texture and how to maintain it and how to style it on my own. And since then, I’ve never gotten more compliments on my hair! She was thorough, kind, honest and just a great time to be around! She is professional and extremely good at what she does while still being approachable and down to earth.

Laura is the best! I have been going to her for three years and drive three hours to see her and it’s so worth it. She has highlighted and dyed my hair to every natural and fashion color imaginable and has never disappointed. She is also the only person I trust to cut my bangs and really change my hair in any drastic way at all. It’s always a fun appointment where we chat for hours and her space is super cute on top of everything else!

I followed Laura from her previous salon to her new space. I have never felt more welcomed anywhere! You can really tell how much she cares for her clients by all the amazing little touches in the studio, not to mention her fantastic energy. I don't think I'll ever let anyone else get their hands on my hair, she has brought me so far in my hair journey. I always look forward to my appointments with Laura, not just because I know I'm going to leave looking my best, but because I truly enjoy my time spent here. After months of seeing a number of stellar blonde looks in my feed, I decided to make an appointment with Laura and am SO pleased that I did! Laura has been doing my hair for years even before she opened Raleigh Roots. I have very fine hair, and I found her originally after another inexperienced stylist at a top-brand affiliated salon fried it with highlights. We made a plan, got it healthy, and 3 years later it's still thriving thanks to Laura. She's an expert colorist and very carefully listens to what I want. Come here, you won't regret it!
