I’ve known of Rtistic salon for years, I’ve known the owner Doug for quite sometime but since moving to LA County it’s been very difficult to get down here for a haircut, also, I’ve been in a hair extension relationship for about 7 years. Funny thing is I’ve always found a stylist in LA thinking it’s closer and more convenient only to discover no one knows how cut my hair, not sure if it’s because my hair is tricky or they’re not familiar with my texture. I always end up with a heavily layered bob that I just can’t stand and I end up with a full head of extensions again. Two years ago I went to LA to get a haircut and it was the last time I told myself no more haircuts ever. Well the haircut and years of extensions totally wrecked my hair and I ended up with a crazy mullet. I go on a little family staycationing San Clemente this week and boom! Salon is still thriving, go on to their website and bam! I am able to get an appt with the owner Doug the next morning, I have wavy hair and I have been wearing it natural because it hides the mullet well. It literally took less than 5 mins to realize he knows exactly what I want. He gave me one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had today, he curated this haircut to everything I wanted, I left with it styled natural and AMAZING !!!! I came home and blew it out just out of curiosity and ITS FREAKING AMAZING!!! In the last 4 years i have not liked my hair without a bunch of extensions. I am so thankful and relieved I was able to get in to see Doug today. If you’re looking for a team of talented hair stylists and colorists don’t sleep on this gem! Thanks Doug!

Awesome location !! I highly recommend ths location, i go in for a hair cut once every 3months and it never disappoints, visit R ristic and give your hair a treat. :)

I have mixed reviews on this place. My story: It’s hard to find a stylist in Orange County who can do a pixie cut. If I want balayage blonde waves - I could go anywhere. So I did my research and found Douglas at Rtistic. My first cut was more than I could ask for. I loved it!! The other stylists were hilarious and courteous. I thought I found my new place. Came in for a trim after 2 months and Douglas butchered my hair. I have crazy cowlicks in my bangs and he decided to cut it down to a nothing. I said - am I going to look like a unicorn as that grows back? And his response was - ya but it’s gone for now. I’m pretty sure he would agree that I walked out of there thinking I could’ve done better myself... So.. I’m scared to go back. But the colorist Riannin is perfection!!

This is a great intimate salon! David is my stylist and couldn’t be happier with his great ability to make my hair look awesome every time. The owner Doug and color specialist Rhinna are such a great team💝
