I checked that place one more time, hoping to see they changed their recent policies, such as forcing men to wear shorts, etc. However, everything is the same. A dilapidated, deserted, sad looking spa with ridiculous rules and the most expensive in the Bay Area. If you read the reviews, most women are happy with that place, but almost all the men are pissed and disappointed. Unfortunately, no matter what's said about their amenities and services, management ignores the clients' concerns and complaints and nothing changes, except gets worst. Good bye PSY SPA, forever!

I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. The current state of cleanliness and hygiene is inadequate, which poses a significant risk of contracting skin diseases. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the situation, I recommend conducting a tour before making any financial commitments. This will allow you to personally assess the steam room and other facilities.

Yesterday, was my first time ever going to a spa, and I got to say it was an eye opening experience. I loved it here and the massage therapist I worked with was amazing. Definitely will come back.

I recently visited Psy Spa in San Leandro with my daughter to celebrate her birthday, and we decided to indulge in their ultimate packages. Having experienced various Korean spas over the years in places like New Jersey, Irvine, and San Francisco, I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, Psy Spa did not match any of those experiences. While the actual services—the scrub and massage—were quite good and performed well by the staff, the overall experience was marred by the condition of the facility. The spa's amenities were not as advertised. The relaxation rooms, which were supposed to be a highlight, were just a few heated rooms with little to offer in terms of effectiveness or relaxation. The Himalayan salt room was completely devoid of any salt, the Amethyst room featured what looked more like generic tiles than actual crystals, and the Jade room was essentially the same. There was also a noticeable lack of key features that are typically standard in Korean spas, such as a cold plunge or an arctic room for contrast therapy. Additionally, the spa seemed ill-prepared for its guests. The blow dryers were ineffective, barely functioning, and there weren’t enough towels available for everyone’s use. This lack of basic amenities added to our disappointment. Overall, while the individual services at Psy Spa were good, the overall experience fell short.

I came here for the first time with my husband and it was amazing! Everyone is so nice and did a wonderful job! Men do need to bring swim trunks to wear within the spa rooms (located inside the bathroom - sauna/steam room/jacuzzi/cold plunge). You will not be allowed in without swim trunks. If you’re coming for a body scrub for the first time, I was a little confused so here are the steps: 1. You have to arrive early to your appointment so you can steam/sauna your body for about 30 minutes to soften your skin 2. The person doing your service will then look for you in the steam room or sauna and call your key number 3. The place to get a scrub will be within the bathrooms 4. After you’re done, you will need to shower and dry off and wear the clothes given TIP: Body scrubs include washing your hair so if you don’t want them to touch your hair, you have to let them know in the beginning of your service. The facilities were fantastic and clean. They just have snacks for food so prepare around meal time.

I absolutely love this place. I've recommended to so many friends who have also fallen in love. But there are a bunch of friends for whom it doesn't feel very welcoming. Unfortunately, it is a very gender segregated space, making it pretty much inaccessible to a lot of queer and trans folks.... Who would otherwise quite probably love it. Have you all ever considered having a trans/queer gender neutral night? I think you'd have a lot of folks interested. Everyone deserves to be able to experience Psy!

I love this spa. I've been coming here with my mother and friends for over 15 years! I'm constantly recommending people to come here. I just wish they had a monthly membership cause then I'd come more often. 저는 이 스파를 좋아해요. 15년 넘게 엄마, 친구들과 함께 이곳에 왔습니다! 나는 사람들에게 계속해서 여기에 오라고 권하고 있다. 나는 단지 그들이 월 회원권을 가지고 있었으면 좋겠는데, 그러면 나는 더 자주 올 것이기 때문이다.

My first time at a Korean spa! So cool and interesting. The woman’s side had a very open and welcoming atmosphere, and the scrub treatment is AWESOME. The masseuses are very professional and tuned into your needs. They are so detail oriented and attentive. Everyone should try it!!!

Clean and relaxing environment ,decided to visit the spa to get some relaxation as a pregnant woman .My husband and I got the full package of scrub and massage !!Best spa experience we have ever had in the area .We will definitely be visiting again ,sue was my therapist very friendly and professional.

I enjoyed my recent experience at Psy Spa. The facility is very clean and well-maintained. Upon check-in, I was given two towels, as well as a wrist band key to an assigned locker. My two favorite parts of the spa were the jacuzzi and hot steam room. There is also a dry sauna and a cool pool in the men's area, as well. It was neat to see that there is also a jimjilbang available, which I'll have to try on my next visit. (I didn't have time available for it this time.) I encourage anyone who is interested to visit and support Psy Spa, in San Leandro. For me, it was a great way to relax and unwind, after my run in the nearby Lake Chabot Regional Park.

I was planning on having a great day that turned into a disaster. My appointment was for scrubbing and massage on 04/20/2024. The masseuse was very harsh with scribing, but that was not the biggest problem. After she was done scrubbing she did shampoo and conditioned my hair. After she rinsed me off with the shower she politely gave me the towel and told me to take a shower, and I did. After the shower I entered the changing room and I looked at myself in the mirror and I noticed that on top my head turned from blonde sandy highlight which was the one I came in with initially. I was literally shocked not knowing what’s going on. I called the manager and I asked why they colored my hair? She said that we don’t color hair here. They started saying things about me coming with red hair. I started showing them pictures and asked if they had the surveillance camera on that could prove them. They completely ignored what I was trying to say, and the owner continued to convince me like I was an idiot. He suggested that i didn’t know what I was taking about. I insisted on getting my money refunded. They weren’t interested in trying to remedy the situation in any way. The whole situation was terribly upsetting. At this point I can only assume what they put a hair dye in my hair. The masseuse probably shampooed me with the colored shampoo, or henna, or some sort of eyebrow tint… who knows what she put on my hair. But the fact that the owner didn’t even bother to investigate the situation, or ask how he potentially could make things right. The whole situation was unfortunate. And I would recommend avoiding this establishment in the future.u

Last Sunday first time after COVID we purchased 60 min Special . Same one we had few years ago. Unpleasantly, quality of service was below past standards. All materials as towels , pillow or massage products (salt, milk etc) was old, poor quality. Bed news!

Loved stopping by this place after stressful day at work. While it was never 5 stars, it was local, welcoming and relaxing. Unfortunatley, new policies for men do not create the same welcoming and relaxing environment. I won't be returning and I don't recommend to others.

My first time. There was restrictions both in terms of clothing and time. They don't have as many toiletries as Bay Spa (no razors, toothbrushes, etc) For a $40 dollar day pass you'd be better at Bay Spa or Immersion. Overall very mid and not too relaxing

Should have read the reviews before making my way to this SPA. Looks like their policy was recently updated for men taking away the Korean SPA vibe. Might as well use the 24hr fitness pool, hot tub and sauna. Hopefully once they realize that their business is walking out the door, they’ll revisit this policy. I ended up walking out as soon as I read the policy change. 🗑️🗑️

I would love coming here after a long day at work to relax in their steam room and sauna. With this new policy they got going on that discriminate against men only is saddening. Takes away the experience from a Korean spa. I hope they come around and lift this policy as they see that business is dropping.

I’ve loved coming to this local gem for almost 2 years, but the new double standard requirement for male patrons to wear trunks in the male wet areas while the female patrons not being required to wear trunks in the female wet areas is rather sexist and also makes no sense. Why would I pay to use spa services in clothing that restricts said services? Psy Spa will continue to lose customers with these kinds of changes. Also, why the 2-hour limit on weekends and 3-hour limit on weekdays? For a $40 entry fee, I’d rather drive 45 minutes south to Santa Clara’s Bay Spa instead of getting stuck at our more local Psy Spa. Get it together, Psy Spa.

Friendly staff, clean facilities, good scrub. First time getting a body scrub so I didn't know what to expect. It's not for the squeamish or those expecting privacy. You're fully nude on a table, about 6 feet from another identical table with potentially another (stranger) person also getting a scrub. I was fine with it but I think it's just good to know what to expect before you get there.

I went there on a Monday morning for the first time for a deep tissue massage I had never been to a Day spa before. There is private parking in the back. The spa is very spacious with multiple massage rooms and therapists. Scheduling was flexible. There is a male area, female area, and family area with hot stone rooms. The men's spa has two pools and stone rooms. Very spacious and clean. 5/5 experience. Definitely worth checking out.

My first visit was 4 days ago. I went with a friend, and we both ooed and ahhed about how much we loved going there. She said it was the most relaxed she felt after a massage. We both got a scrub and massage. I enjoyed myself so much that I went back on the weekend with my partner. Tip: --If you don’t speak Korean, I would recommend talking with someone behind the front desk if you are getting a scrub or massage and have any specific needs. They will communicate your needs to the masseuse. Pros: --Large free parking lot --Clean facilities --Lots of lockers with locking system --Good solid steam room --Separate massage area --Free robes (don't have to bring your own --Very hot steam room --ATM for cash tips --Reasonable prices Cons: --Some body workers don't speak English

The Full body scrub was wonderful but the massage was not that great. I would recommend everyone to visit for the full body scrub which is worth and this is the first place where they didn’t demand for any tip there was shower jacuzzi steam and sauna and then body scrub which was amazing.

Love going here. Had my treatment done by Kim and it was amazing. Just the right amount of pressure for the massage. The facility is always clean and the people are always nice. Walk out feeling super clean and refreshed.

Our daughter treated my wife and I to a spa experience yesterday and we certainly enjoyed it! I found the spa quite comfortable, exploring the men's side rooms, hot tub and cold tub, steam room and dry heat room, massage room and locker room. The scrub experience was new to me and the massage envigorating, ans quite enjoyable! I was so relaxed afterwards it required extra effort to drive to the restaurant for dinner! It's been a while since I experienced walking around au natural with others.
