Went to the Poseidon spa last weekend and had a facial and massage. My husband & I soaked in the nice relaxing tub there and it was very nice and rejuvenating. Susan did an amazing job. We both followed up with facials with Ginger and she did an amazing job. We needed this experience. The manager Alexis was very kind and brought us both champagne and made sure our needs were met l.

I had the best experience today! Ginger gave me an amazing facial, my skin feels so refreshed. Then I had a full body massage, and it was incredibly relaxing—definitely left feeling like a new person!

I had a facial with Ginger and I can’t say enough kind words about what an amazing job she did on my skin! With all the cold weather in Alabama it has dried my face out completely and she put so much hydration back into my skin. I also had a massage the same day with Tiana and she did such an amazing job. I came from out of town and after my arrival I noticed how stiff I felt from driving the whole day and I feel so much better now!! Not to mention my face looks so smooth and fresh! Highly recommended! Thank you Alexis for being so kind and ensuring my needs were met, as well as Emma (who works the front desk) for greeting me and getting me checked in at a timely manner!

Just had a massage from Susan and a facial from Ginger, and my skin and body feel amazing!! I really needed a nice day to relax. The products they use are top tier!! The front desk was kind, the manager made sure I was comfortable and had anything I needed. ❤️

I just had a personalized facial, and my skin feels amazing! I’ll definitely be coming back. If you visit, make sure to ask for Ginger—she’s amazing! Everyone there seems very polite and the spa is beautiful!

If you’re used to a spa with hot tub, steam room, big luxurious showers. This ain’t it. Very small. Small waiting area, with only tea and had to ask several times for a cup. No snacks or extras. Also, there is only one shower, barely hot water. For the price there should be more, much more. But I did enjoy my massage!

I was so happy that I was able to get in for a facial, massage, and manicure! I needed this day of self care and everyone was so kind! My services were outstanding and I couldn’t have asked for anything better! I will definitely be coming back! Such a beautiful spa and experience.

What a lovely spa! It was a great relaxing atmosphere. The employees were very accommodative. The massage therapist made the experience great, ensuring that I was comfortable. I will be back to try the other services they offer. Perhaps maybe a facial next time!

Do you have a few hundred dollars that you don’t actually need?? Schedule an appointment with Poseidon Spa in mountain brook today! They will be happy to schedule/reschedule whatever service on the wrong date/time, and then gladly charge you for the full service that you never received (since you obviously violated their policy by being a no show). If you ever want to think about seeing your money again, get ready to defend yourself for days (currently at day 4) and argue about why you as a customer do not record your people calls. Also you will be the one pursuing a resolution, because they already have your money, why do they need to help? I can’t imagine that this spa is actually relaxing for anyone except the people who work there. For the record, I am not a person who leaves negative reviews, but I would be remiss if I didn’t warn future customers. There are several wonderful spas in Birmingham that are courteous, professional, and actually relaxing; maybe book at any of those instead,

If I could rate my experience it would be a zero. My experience was horrible. After arriving to my appointment only to find out the therapist was not there. She wasn't coming because she was out of town. I will never book this place ever again.

More Style than substance...not worth the price paid for a facial. Every spa provides extra services with a facial, not here. Plus no extra service was provided for an upcharge or added product. The staff was more interested in getting extra grtauity than the 20% already inbuilt. Left me more mad than relaxed. What a waste of $$$.

Unaccommodating spa with selfish staff, specifically Shifiquat A. I will never patronize this non full service spa again after not experiencing satisfactory customer service. I had an appointment scheduled with the mentioned therapist above @ 2:30 pm on a Saturday and a family emergency arose the day before. I sent an email to the facility at my earliest acknowledgment of the emergency the Friday evening before my appointment and after a few emails back and forth with the third party booking service, I was advised to go by the facility to speak to someone since the booking service was not on-site. I also tried calling the spa numerous times from the start of business at 9am until 12pm when finally my call was routed to the booking service and was advised to physically go by the spa. I rushed to the facility and spoke to the front desk receptionist Alexis, and explained to her that I had an emergency and she said let me speak to your therapist once he gets out of his current session. I asked if she thought there would be an issue in rescheduling and she stated no there shouldn’t be. Shortly after leaving I received a call back from the receptionist and she stated the therapist Shifiquat did not want to reschedule my appointment to another therapist since he would not get paid. It was with that comment I knew I wouldn’t even feel comfortable with such a selfish individual performing any service on me. I was willing to reschedule with him for another day or move the appointment to another therapist prior to hearing this statement. I asked The receptionist to have the manager Felicia Dubose reach out to me. Yet no one ever called me back or tried to follow up. I then received an email at 12 showing that my appointment had been cancelled when I never verbally cancelled the appointment. At 2pm I started to receive notifications from my Bank that the spa was trying to charge my card. They attempted 8times. They were unsuccessful of course bc I had already taken measures to ensure I wasn’t personally charged for a service that wasn’t performed. I understand policies but retention of clients should be important and If this spa is not willing to accommodate extraordinary events that arise, then please remove the voicemail asking clients to reschedule or cancel appointment for circumstances such as COVID. Terrible customer service and poor management.

Very relaxing! This spa has a high quality atmosphere, skilled massage therapists, and will customize your experience to fit your aches or requests. Expert prenatal massage as well! Well stocked with whatever you’d need, as well as complementary champagne. We will certainly be back to try their other offered amenities!

What a happy birthday month gift from my Scrumptious Dish! The CVs facial was tingly and the specialist is chock full of great skin info. My massage was so relaxing I started snoring. ^_^
