I have extremely thick and curly hair and if you’re a curly haired girly, Bailey is your girl. It’s one of the best haircuts I’ve had, she took the time my lions mane needed, and suggested better products for my hair that were affordable…she changed my hair overnight, thanks Bailey…I’ll be seeing you again in the next couple months :)

I’ve seen several stylists here and they are all awesome! I have platinum blonde hair and I always leave feeling gorgeous and well taken care of. Everyone is super sweet and nice to chat with and very talented. The space is super cute and it feels great to support a woman-owned local business!

100% would recommend Planted Salon to anyone in the SLC Area. ASK FOR CHELSEA!! She is heaven sent in all things hair. I’ve been going here for a couple years and have always left so happy. Also for any curly haired sisters- She can cut straight and /or curly hair !

I have know the owner for over 10 years, ever since we met at another salon. I would follow this woman to another state if I had to. From day one she has always gone the extra mile to style my hair specifically to what suits me best, which is why I leave her salon looking and feeling like a million dollars every single time. The rest of her staff are just as amazing!

I love coming into Planted Salon. Each time I come in I feel welcome and valued. Angie is a master of her craft. If you’re looking for the best haircut in salt lake, she’s your gal. Angie is friendly, thoughtful and just fun to be around. Cannot recommend enough.

I love this salon, and Chelsea is awesome! She is kind and easy to talk to, and she remembered details about my life after we had only met once! She does a wonderful cut, and I highly recommend the scalp treatments. I am so glad I found this place! It’s also in a wonderful little neighborhood with excellent coffee (La Barba) right next door.

Absolutely love coming to get pampered here! The salon is so cute! Chelsea always does exactly what I ask for and sends me home with all the hair care goods. Truly such a fun inviting atmosphere.

I have been going to Chelsea N & Planted Salon for over 7 years and she is an absolute Gem! I don’t trust anyone else with my blonde highlights/ Balayage. Chelsea is always keeping my hair healthy, even when I go from brown to blonde.

I have seen Chelsea at Planted Salon for the past few years and she is by far the BEST stylist I have ever had. I can always trust Chelsea's judgement on what will work best for my hair and every time I leave my appointment I am beyond satisfied with the results. I would highly recommend Chelsea for anyone who is looking for a new stylist!

Never have I had such an unpleasant experience with any other salon like I had with Planted Salon. I had only started going to Planted Salon in May of this year & will never go back there again, even if it was the last salon on earth. My stylist was Chelsea. My hair turned out lavender when it was supposed to be plum, & greenish when she tried correcting the lavender. 3rd & last time- she was not able to match a partial highlight to the existing highlight she'd done at the previous appointment. I'm not sure if it's the products the salon uses or how Chelsea mixes the products the salon uses, but something definitely wasn't right ×3. And all 3 times Chelsea took no accountability & showed absolutely no empathy whatsoever. And the entire time, I was only using their shampoo, conditioner & hair products & only going to their salon. Also, before my very first appointment, I texted Chelsea pictures of hair color ideas I had in mind & she never replied, and had the nerve to be rude to me at my very first appointment. Looking back, I regret not acknowledging both these as red flags & stop going to this salon right at that point because Chelsea continued to be rude and the salon owner (Tori) even went as far as referring to me in an derogatory way while chatting with my husband during one of my appointments, which was very inappropriate. I've also witnessed the owner behave & talk with other clients in the salon in an immature & unprofessional manner. Instead of being understanding & sympathetic that my hair didn't turn out right ×3, both the stylist & the owner created a cold & hostile environment for me to be in. Not only is the salon I started going to elsewhere more reasonably priced, they also got the color/shade right. I wasn't going to leave a review about Planted Salon, because I'm not one to leave reviews, but it was way too much. Beware. By the way, Tori- I booked an appt at your salon under my new married name when I got married during the time I was going to your salon, I was not trying to "bypass your system by using a different name", which is not true like all the other false lies you wrote in your reply. I was the one who "set the record straight" because God as our witness, my review was accurate & true, unlike your reply. You also lied when you said your salon "consistently gave me exactly what I asked for"..your salon did my hair lavender, when it was supposed to be plum & greenish with correcting the lavender & a partial highlight that was too light..and that is the God's honest truth & you know it. And the salon I just went to got my hair right the first time..so, no "luck" needed.

When I first moved to Salt Lake, I was nervous about finding a new Stylist. After some heavy research for the best colorists in the area, Chelsea's name popped up in multiple reviews. Now I don't trust anyone else with my hair care needs- go see her! Time and time again, she surpasses the Inspo pics I bring in and I cannot be happier with her service and time.

When I went to planted salon, it had a very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere and everyone was super friendly. Bailey was the one who worked on me, she did a wonderful job and was an absolute delight. Overall I would give planted salon a 10/10

MY NEW FAVORITE SALON AND STYLIST!!! ❤️ I absolutely love this place. The booking staff is so easy to communicate with, and they even send you text messages! (Since we know all of us are a bit busy for calls these days 😅) They’re quick, helpful, and willing to work with my flexible schedule. The products they offer work wonders on my hair, and I got everything from shampoo and conditioner to styling products. The brand “Innersense” was recommended by my stylist: Bailey Middleton! Bailey is so amazing to work with!! Her sense of creativity and control makes me feel like anything can be done to my hair and it’ll turn out great! I have thick, curly and wild hair that I always thought would be unmanageable, but she knows curls! I’ve done two toning sessions and haircuts, and both went fabulous. We did my Summer look in June, which was a fantastic shade of bright red, and just finished up the Fall look which was a nice deep auburn! 💕 I love everything about Planted Salon, and my curly hair has found its forever home 💇‍♀️💝 Follow Bailey’s instagram: @cosmo_baib!

Bailey Middleton always does a great job. She's great at listening about your hair goals and concerns. She's taught me a lot about how to care for my wavy hair. I've been going to her for a few years now.

The set up of the salon is great. Salons are always so loud when they’re full but the layout keeps it nice and quiet which I really appreciate. Bailey is a curl master and I am so glad to have been routed to her! I’ve been rocking curls only for a long time but lived in a more humid climate where it was much easier to care for them. She’s helped me figure out how to care for my hair better in Utah’s dry climate.

As a queer woman, it is so hard knowing how comfortable you will feel in any space. When I went, with my wife, to Planted Salon to see Angie, I immediately felt comfortable with her energy and the other customers there. I also have never felt my style was so understood. The cut I received was so affirming to my identity and tastes. I felt like a badass leaving with my new hair cut; and by the picture I attached below, you can see I looked like one.

I absolutely love this salon. Angie does my hair and she has got me fixed up with the cutest shag cut with some flippy fringe bangs. It’s the absolute best haircut I have ever had. When I first saw her, I had some highlights that had grown out pretty poorly and she did a root melt and added some highlights. The root melt matched the exact color of my natural hair color. She added a few face framing highlights for a super low maintenance, but fresh and bright look to my hair color. I could rave on and on about how truly skilled she is, but you should let her work speak for itself by checking out her professional instagram account. My mom loved my hair so much that when she was visiting me in Salt Lake from the Midwest she wanted to book an appointment with her too. Unfortunately (but also… not entirely unfortunate), Angie was out of town when my mom was here, but referred us to Tori (who we found out later owns the salon). Tori gave my mom the cutest bob and color refresh. My mom was absolutely obsessed. Not only are these girls super talented, but they listen and consult with their clients to make sure they reach the hair goals of their clients. These girls have become not just pro’s that I trust with my hair (I’m picky, ngl), but also friends. I truly look forward to seeing and catching up with them when I book my salon services. They treat me so well and I am so happy I have found such a great salon to go to in Salt Lake!! Check them out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed <3 !!!

I had the worst experiences at so many salons — until I started booking with Angie at Planted. She’s not only knowledgeable, skilled and intuitive when it comes to hair, but Angie is also great to talk to and an absolute pleasure to sit for!!! Plus the atmosphere of Planted is so cute and relaxed. It’s located in a great neighborhood with so much to do after you get your hair done 🪴🌷

I regularly go to Angie for my haircuts and it’s always such a joy. My hair is ALWAYS a dream (mullet-adjacent shag of my dreams) . The second you walk into Planted it’s just a great atmosphere to walk into. It’s adorable and it’s clear that everyone enjoys what they’re doing.

I will always recommend Angie she is such a talented hairdresser. I have been going to her since she’s moved to SLC. She is kind, professional, and always good time! She has mastered her art.
