This review will remain 1 star until the concerns are addressed. Over half The lights in the women’s locker room turn off at 1 am, just so happened to be WHILE I was showering. So now I’m in a dark shower, alone, woman in her 20’s, in a mostly empty gym, with mostly men in it. This did not bring about a feeling of safety or security. Not only were the lights in the showers off, but the lights over the toilets and the lights in the changing stall all off. Maybe 6/20 locker room lights remained on. This is unacceptable, and employees were not able to turn them back on for me. I have NEVER. In the over 50 planet fitnesses I have visited across the states, and the multiple dozens of times I’ve showered late night into the early morning, I have NEVER had the light turned off on me. THIS IS NOT OKAY! You say open 24 hours the lights need to be on 24 hours!!! Also, the hot water stopped working. Luke warm is GREAT in a dark shower exhausted at 1 am!!!!! Unbelievable

Nice place pretty clean always sometimes broken equipment however low key nice place to stay for at great value includes guest privs and tan massage red light therapy really excellent value

Clean gym and friendly staff, however it smells like a case of fish oil spilled everywhere. Very strong unpleasant scent. Also the crowd is much closer to that of a golds gym or vasa. Not a planet fitness. While the lunk alarm is fake it shouldn't be and should've been set off several times in the handful of days I've been there so far. Sauce central. Dudes slamming weights, taking multiple stations as if they own the place. Talking bro loud enough for the whole gym to hear. Didn't expect this crowd at this location that's for sure. Not the vibe.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH PLANET FITNESS!! They will hold you hostage and not let you cancel the membership. I moved more than 2000 miles away and now live where there is not a Planet Fitness nearby but they will not cancel my membership. Somehow they retained my debit card information because I unauthorized the use of my bank account for ACH payments and they charged my debit card without authorization! They should expect a lawsuit very soon. BE WARNED, THEY ARE NOT AN ETHICAL COMPANY.

I enjoy the Planet Fitness on McKellips and Power Rd in Mesa AZ. All areas of this fitness center are clean & employees are very friendly.

I have been going to this Planet Fitness location since July 2023. After my total knee replacement and rehab I began a weekly routine to keep motion in my legs. This gym is not judgmental and does not push personal trainers on the customers. The staff is friendly and the equipment is kept in good working order. It's the perfect place for someone that just needs to do their specific workout to stay in shape. It's nice to just be allowed to get in and out at the time of your choosing without staff or other gym members trying to push their ideal workout on you. Update: December 2024 The staff was so helpful in changing my membership over to my insurance provider-paid membership. These guys and gals are great. They still don't push you to train harder, which is much appreciated. They are always open when you want to work out. The equipment is well cared for and ready when you need it. The entire gym is clean and regularly maintained, including the restrooms and showers. It's still the perfect place to workout.

I like this gym's easy "scan" entry, and the wide variety of options they offer. There aren't any classes, but they do have a suprisingly efficient setup that allows you to pick and choose how to want to approach your workout. Other pros include: clean, big locker room, plenty of bathrooms, easy access to water, hydro massage chairs, etc. I also love the ability to look and see how busy the gym in right on the app so it's easier to decide when it's the best time to go.

Very clean, affordable, lots of equipment. No contacts. Wonderful staff. I love the hydro bed, massage chairs and the 30 minute circuit for weights. Love it.

Just joined, and it seems to be a decent place however, no deadlift mats or regular squat racks, just Smith machine racks. Clean club, clean locker room, no judgment zone. Friendly helpful staff members.

The layout of the equipment is poor, the smith machines are all misaligned with the ceiling so you feel lopsided when you bench press. The staff was very nice and friendly and they keep things clean. I went during the morning during the week around 6am
