This place is trash and they con you out of money. They have excessive cancelation fees they don't tell you about until after they've gotten you to sign the paperwork for a membership. They just charged me 75$ even though my wife hasn't been there in months. I will be contesting the charges through my bank and reporting this company to the better business bureau. Do not get a membership here it's a garbage place of business

God forbid you have any kind of issue or need the manager for anything because she’s never there. She works when she wants. Corporate numbers don’t work. Don’t start a membership here. You’ll literally have to harass the employees and go through your bank to end it. Worst experience I’ve ever had with a tanning bed salon. They do not care about customers, just trying to make sales. I’ve been trying to end my membership here for forever now. Tiffany just does what she wants to I guess. This is not a car loan. This is a tanning bed membership. She acts as if this is HER company and she can come when she wants. I love how she finds time to argue in the reviews but can’t reach back out to members. I will be pushing this issue further. Edited to respond: I didn’t talk to you a month ago! Don’t get on here and lie! I’ve been trying to cancel this membership since 2022 over the phone and in person. You’re never there. I’m actually headed to your location now to sign my cancellation papers whether you’re there or not!! & that email address was not found!

****replying to Tiffany. Haha no, you looked at me like oh, that’s too bad. Not because you’re older, but because you chose to be rude and not help me in my situation. (Whether you speak with the employee or not) I was told that I could cancel and if you need to verify if she said that I could do that, please do. This is sketchy, and completely unfair. As for the “girls that I work with” who come in.. I work remotely and have worked remotely for 2 years now. So I am not sure who you’re talking about. Thanks for your offer tho! :) There is NO reason you should have this many bad reviews over the same thing if it was being handled properly. Obviously I am not the only one with this type of issue. My aunt Mechele is MBA of the Better Business Bureau and will be further looking into this company and its unprofessionalism. Absolutely terrible experience on my end. After making it known that I would need to cancel my Hotworx membership after the first month due to moving out of the city, no one explained that there is a 3 month minimum before cancelling. When I tried to cancel today, the blonde older lady at the front looked at me disgusted and said there’s nothing she can do. Offered no apology, no empathy, nothing. Not to mention… they charged me double when I began my membership! I wasn’t upset, simply asked for a refund and had to call back 5 times before the refund was finally given for the double charge. Nahhh I’m good <3 BTW— as a business owner or manager, this is NOT how you reply to reviews.

I have been going to planet beach for well over 10 years. It’s always clean, decorated nicely and the staff and management is top notch, they feel like a family more than anything! Planet beach has an awesome variety of lotions and other product. They’re so much more than a tanning salon. If you’re looking for a new place to call home for your tanning needs, massage or hotworx workouts then planet beach is where you need to be! Ask for the blonde lady, she will help you with everything you need! ❤️

Planet Beach in Longview has the upmost genuinely best employees. I’ve been a member over 10+ years and not a single complaint. Ask for Tiffany (the pretty young blonde) manager. She is very knowledgeable and soooo sweet. It’s summer time go get tanned!!

I LOVE Planet Beach!! I have been a member for a little over a year and have no complaints! They thoroughly explained the membership agreement and cancellation policy! Everyone is super friendly and eager to help with any questions or concerns I may have!

Great place to tan, relax by using the massage chair. Have some facial wrinkles? Use their redlight services. You can also whiten your teeth while there & use their hotworx services to work out.

I called and spoke with one of the representatives at the Longview location, 5 months ago and inquired about cancelling. I was told only a manager could terminate the account but she could freeze and I would be charged 2 more months. I asked, if she would pass my cancellation information to manger and she said, she would. It has now been 5 months and I am still being charged. I called on 04/16/23 to inquire about the additional $400 I have paid only to be told you have to put it in writing to cancel. Why did the first representative drop the ball to the point of a 400 charge on me. They need to be trained and if a manager can only handle a cancellation there should be one available during all business hours. It is incredibly hard to cancel and I would not recommend Planet Beach. I have had a better experience at Palm Beach....go there, trust me on this! My issue was resolved by me receiving 4 months free to Planet Beach not a refund of $400! I also already have a tanning place so this was worthless to me but was told I could give it to someone else. I was also told they had to fire an employee that did this to multiple people. So I did get an explanation but no a solution or my money back. Review honestly updated!

I ended services in August of 2022, I didn’t realize I was still being charged as of August 2023. I’ve reached out to the manager numerous times and here we are in October and I’m still being charged. My bank has placed a stop payment since I cannot get ahold of anyone who can help. I emailed the owner Ashlee C. then sent a follow up email as I never heard back from her. This place has scammed me, and stolen from me. I moved out of state in August of 2022 hence why I was cancelling. This is bad business. I would give 0 starts if I had the option. This places owe me over $700 dollars. Shameful.

I have been going to PB for a little under a month. I have yet to find a rude person! Everyone has been so sweet. From touring the facility to me signing up, I was just coming in for a couple of sessions and didn’t realize all the awesome things available! It has been an absolute great decision. I love I not only do I get to get the look I’ve wanted, but get help getting skinny while doing it as well. There are multiple options from healthy skin, weight loss, and of corse tanning. Again best staff great place and options. I was explained everything before signing up, I say this because I see some old reviews. I assure you I was explained the terms of my contract multiple times. PSA: no one asked me to leave this review. After seeing some of the past reviews. I wanted people to see an honest one, not just people mad because they didn’t pay attention or understand the contract they were signing. I’ll be staying with PB for a while for sure!

They have multiple private rooms. With the best equipment. Massage, tanning, red light therapy. It felt so good to have a day to relax. It's definitely worth the money

“My experience with this gym and its subscription service has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. From the moment I tried to cancel, it felt like they were deliberately making it as difficult as possible. To make matters worse, even after I managed to cancel, they continued to charge me for a full six months without any explanation or recourse. Make sure you read all of the papers you sign. The contract that they make you sign completely leaves the client aside, and they also rely on "the system" that does not allow them to make changes and is automatic. It’s evident that they lack a genuine commitment to their clients. The customer experience is clearly not their priority. I’ve had numerous issues and questions, but the manager is seemingly never available when you need them. This gym’s approach to customer service is simply unacceptable, and I would strongly caution anyone considering a subscription here.” Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to me, I appreciate it, I never said that you did not respond to me by email, that was the only way for you to respond to me, because I went several times or called and they told me that the manager was not there, That's why I started writing to you by e-mail, I know that I have received a copy of the contract, what I want is for new clients to see what they sign, because the contract that you make your clients sign has a waiting time to be able to cancel for months and then months for the cancellation to become effective, so you end up paying for months to be able to make a cancellation effective.

VERY CROOKED COMPANY Been trying to cancel since 2022. They always have an excuse because they can't cancel. The managers not in. We don't see record you are being charged bring back proof. You let someone use your account before. They even admitted we canceled it in 2022, but they never stopped charging card. Read your credit card statement every month and watch out for crooked companies like them. Read the previews this is what they do. Then read their responses it is always the customers fault.

Excellent service, great staff (personally) I love doing the Hotworks, the heat, plus working out. It's fantastic. Alyssa is the best. I tend to forget my mat from time to time, and she's always got my back by letting me borrow one.

I absolutely love Planet Beach Longview! The staff is very personable and sweet. They have it all; spa services for relaxation and healthy skin, tanning, and Hotworx. I love the Hotworx workouts, they have rowing & spin bikes along with virtual classes.
