This salon is a true gem right in Dedham! They make you feel welcome, offer complementary extras like fun beverages to enhance your experience and amazing scalp massages! Christina is the sweetest person and a true expert at what she does and her team is clearly well vetted and talented. The decor and design is beautiful and intentional and makes you feel like you could be at a trendy spot in the city. I have been going here for 10 years and can’t imagine going anywhere else!

I can’t say enough good things about Neli! I started coming to her a little over a year ago after my hair was overprocessed at another salon. She has completely transformed my hair. I’ve been to dozens of salons and she’s the best of the best. She takes so much time to listen to my hair concerns and goals and only suggests treatments and products that I’ve really benefited from. My auburn color is exactly what I want and she cuts my bangs and layers perfectly. My mom also goes to her now and I moved over an hour away and still come to Neli.

I just got my haircut done by Neli, and it was such a great experience! She really listened to what I wanted and offered amazing suggestions that complemented my features and hair goals. My hair looks full, healthy, and refreshed. If you’re looking for someone with great attention to detail and a talent for enhancing your natural look, I highly recommend her!

First time in today. The salon is super nice and I got a fabulous haircut and blowout from Laurina. My hair looks amazing and I feel so good. I’m a fan and I will be back. I’m so excited!

I had a great experience here with Brooke. There was a scheduling issue, but the owner made it right and I’m so glad I was able to get in later the same day. Brooke did exactly what I asked for, walked me through options and maintenance, and clearly put a lot of effort into giving me the cut I wanted. She’s really talented and takes her work very seriously. Customer service was top notch. I’m already looking forward to going back!

YAY! Finally after two years of being cooped (up due to the virus) we can get out now and reconnect… My hair was unmanageable and desperately needed Christina. I went to see Christina for a very badly needed haircut, root touch-up and highlights. By the time she got through doing her magic I felt like a truly new person and alive again. Ammmazzzing!!! The staff treats you like family yet very professional, accommodating and knowledgeable. They work together as one team and very supportive of each other. I have been going to this Salon since opening day and would very highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you very very much.

I had the best haircut and balayage I’ve had in years today with Brooke R. at Philosophe! She took time to make sure we were on the same page with style and color, gave me tons of suggestions for care and I walked out feeling like a million bucks. I once had a haircut at a high end Boston salon and my experience at Philosophe today was similar but at a price range more in my budget. It takes me months to get an appointment at my regular salon but aside from that, I plan to scoot on over to Philosophe to see Brooke going forward!

I have stopped going here. Their schedule policy is not customer friendly and the quality has dropped significantly. Too bad. Loved this place. Now, it’s just an expensive place to do business with and results don’t warrant the costs.

I moved to the area about a year ago and was looking for a salon close to home. After reading all the wonderful reviews I decided to book an appointment and I’m glad I did. Karissa was my stylist and did an AMAZING job!! She took the time to ask what style/color I was going for, explained the process and the end result was perfect! I left the salon feeling refreshed and looking forward to my next appointment. Thanks again, Karissa!

I really enjoy going to this salon. All of the employees make you feel welcome. Studio is well organized and very clean. Brooke is fantastic. I look forward to seeing her every 6-8weeks for my roots, color and cut.

Really disappointed that after being a loyal customer my hair was friend from the color treatment I received. I tried to reach out several times expressing that my hair was friend and to get a trim. When I finally got in touch the response was negative. It took months for my hair to recover. Disappointed this wasn’t handled better

This place has pros and cons both. Pros : they are accommodating. They gave haircut to my husband at very short notice. 2) they serve great refreshments.3) staff (hairstylist)is polite. The hairstylist who served me knew her work and explained her recommendations very well. Cons: 1) the services are bit on pricey side. If you are first time customer like me please do not trust on the quote they give you on phone. Double check when u check in. I was ended up paying more. 2) if you are getting your hair color done please make sure they wash it properly. In my case they did my hair color but now (after few hours ) when I am running my fingers through my hair, color is ripping off and coming out and scalp is itchy now. I will probably call them tomorrow morning to let them know. Hopefully they will take care for you. Good luck

Yesterday was my first visit to Philosophe. What an amazing experience! I am new to the West Roxbury/Dedham area and had a bad experience at Lord's & Lady's. While there are more important things happening in the world than my hair, the bad haircut really had an impact on my confidence. I went to Philosophe in hopes of correcting my bad haircut and Cait exceeded my expectations. She not only fixed my bad haircut but did a complete 180, making my hair look fabulous. I had my first cut at Philosphē with Allie and it was a great experience overall. She asked me about my hair, what I was looking for, and then went straight to work. I have a ton of hair, so getting a cut is quite an endeavor, but my hair came out beautiful. Allie was professional and friendly, as was the owner, Christina. This was my first new stylist since I was a child, but I've been converted to Philosophē. Highly recommend!

I see Christina for hair and she also did mine and my bridesmaid's hair for my wedding day. I cannot even tell you how incredible she is, every singe one of my bridesmaids, myself and my mom were completely in love with our hair. Highly highly recommend for general hair services or special events.

I went through the Cinderella transformation that is their « Bling Bling Blonde » package done with Laurina C and could not be happier. I went from a dark brown to blonde, with minimal to no damage, (i actually think that I came out with healthier hair in the end thanks to their hair facial!) and without having to cut off really any of the length! I went in with a photo and a dream, and fully expecting her to tell me that it was unrealistic but after a very detailed consultation she found a way to achieve something that was even better than what I was looking for. All of the girls there are extremely kind and helpful and contributed to such a beautiful atmosphere in an already beautiful salon. Laurina is extremely knowledgeable in her craft and taught me about good hair practices and products to use and answered all of my millions of questions about the process. I cannot recommend this salon enough, they will make your hair dreams come true❤️

I went to this place for a full weave paid for it when it fell apart in two weeks I called back. I received a alot of negatively. All I wanted was for her to fix my hair. I paid 200.00 including a nice tip. My hair only looked good for 2 weeks. And then fell apart. Never have I paid for such nonsense. BAD BUSINESS. Please save your money. Don't trust this shop they only care about ripping their customers off.

This place is super cute. Parking was easy on the street. I was greeted by the owner Christina when I walked in. They salon is so sophisticated, clean and decorations are perfect. I was offered and received a tasty glass of wine (there are non-alcoholic options as well). Vanessa my stylist was prompt, had great ideas for my color, and was great to chat with during the services. I had a balayage (I love it!) and blow dry and the products were exactly what my frizzy hair from the rain needed. Next time I’m adding a cut. The person who shampooed gave a great scalp massage and I left feeling pampered and beautiful. They offered a shower cap to leave because I was raining!! Booking online was easy and checkout was seamless. The service costs are reasonable and I can’t wait for my next appointment!!

Besides this hair salon being the absolute CUTEST place I've ever been to, the staff surpasses that in professionalism & friendliness. Betsy is my go to girl. Its like hanging out with one of my friends because we chat the entire time and I always leave feeling like a beauty queen. I can't even keep track the amount of compliments I receive on my hair daily. I refer everyone to her and to Philosophe.

Not only is the salon gorgeous and decorated so lovely but the warm experience inside the salon can’t be beat. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with sincere smiles and excellent customer service. I went in for a big change and Christina did such a fantastic job. I think this is the best haircut of my life! Thank you Christina and philosophe for a great experience!

Philosophe has been my one and only place for both my hair and eyebrows for as long as I can remember! I have a lot of hair, and it is very thick, and many salons cannot manage it that well. But at Philosophe, I have never had to worry about it! Christina has been cutting my hair and threading my eyebrows since I was a teenager, and I am always beyond satisfied with my results. My haircuts are always beautiful and my hair is super healthy and strong! I buy all my hair products from the salon as well and love everything I get. The salon is always clean and organized and the service from all the girls is amazing!

Would you believe me if I told you that Christina did the hair of 12 women, including the bride, in 6 short hours on my wedding day? AND every single one of us looked amazing, if I do say so myself. If you know anything about her then you probably have no problem believing this. I first went to Christina to have my hair done for my high school sophomore semi-formal 15 years ago!! Since then I have moved to Virginia and I still come back to MA to see Christina, as do my mom and my sister. She’s done my hair for every major life event so far and it just didn’t seem right to not have her at my wedding. When we asked her to join us in North Carolina’s Outer Banks she agreed without hesitation and when we told her the long list of people needing hair help on that day, she told us, no problem. And so, the story goes. My hair looked perfect, and she even added some really wonderful special touches to the hair of my mom and sisters as a surprise to them. Everyone in the wedding party could not stop singing her praises. We love Christina!! Also, the salon itself is amazing, go there!

Amazing place! The stylist Neli.K is the BEST! My hair is done perfectly every time i come in for a cut. All the staff is very professional and super friendly. The salon feels like a high-end place with a great selection of courtesy snacks and drinks.
