My family and I have been seeing Jaime for almost 10 years. She’s fabulous. From haircuts, special occasion styles, color, keratin and well water treatments, she does it all. She’s easy to communicate with, personable and flexible. I’d never go anywhere else!

Philip Salon has great people and fun and comfortable energy. I also love the setting being near the running water and beautiful trees. After my long-time stylist felt he could no longer help with my gray hair transition, I was unsure where to turn. Navigating the shift to gray was daunting, and I wasn’t even sure I wanted to go fully gray! Thankfully, I found Natalie, and I couldn’t be happier. Natalie’s knowledge and expertise are exceptional, I know I am in great hands. What I appreciate most is her guidance for clients like me, who are managing graying hair but aren’t ready to fully embrace it. Natalie helped me find the perfect balance between maintaining a natural look and still feeling confident. Great service and experience. Environment of the salon is amazing! Have gotten my hair done here a couple times and always looks amazing. I highly recommend Natalie for blowouts, balayage, a trim and everything else!!!

I had been going to Natalie for weekly blowouts for about a year but elsewhere for my other services when I found myself in what you could call a hair crisis. Hair damage from overprocessing and a really bad cut. On one visit I asked her if she thought she could help fix the mess I'd made of it and she realistically told me it would take time, but if we were patient, we could do so. Fast forward eight months, and I couldn't be happier with her skill and talent at bringing my hair back to life. Natalie has a devoted client in me and I highly recommend her!

Philip is incredibly aggressive, rude and kind of scary. Be aware that when you go to this place the junior stylist Natalie gives a lot of unsolicited advice. From the moment I sat down in the chair and took out my ponytail all she could do was pull at my hair (constantly) and tell me how much she "didn't like what was going on with my hair." She went as far as to show me the back of my hair with a hand held mirror to show me "what it's doing back there." I was trying not to laugh, because first of all my hair had an ombre in FRONT, and I must of had to explain this to her multiple times and tell her that my hair color was very intentional. She made me feel like I needed to defend my hair constantly throughout our conversation because she was bashing the current state of my hair so bad. I was trying my best to not let her offensive attitude make me emotional. And at the end of the day her title is "junior stylist" how can she think she has so much knowledge and expertise about a stranger's hair that she just looked at, it was such an odd and strange experience. It's as if she didn't think I owned a mirror, she was so condescending. Anyway, I booked with Natalie for a glaze treatment because I only wanted to pay a smaller rate; I was very adamant about ONLY wanting a glaze. There was never any mention of an all over color also being applied. All this girl did was tell me that my hair was going to be significantly darker and if I would be okay with that. Never once mentioning she's doing more than a glaze, in the same sentence of her making sure I was okay with a darker result, I said yes because of the glaze and she just nodded her head. So at the end I definitely liked my hair however I was expecting to pay $45 but the total ended up being $95. Which was a huge surprise because I couldn't have said that I ONLY wanted a glaze any more. The girl was literally smirking at me when she mentioned she also did an all over color. Honesty, I felt racially profiled and extremely disrespected. Instead of having the decency of letting me know that doing a glaze wouldn't achieve my desired results and by doing an all over color for an extra $50 would be extremely beneficial. Like any other stylist would have COMMUNICATE ! Because ultimately paying a little more wouldn't have bothered me if the benefits were COMMUNICATED. I cannot imagine what made her feel OK about her decision to not inform me she was also doing an all over color. Overall a very indecent person and salon. After i paid and also tipped this girl, i left feeling really upset. And i thought maybe instead of writing a review, just speak to the manager/owner. I spoke to Philip the owner and what a mistake because it was such a scary experience. He was ready to fight from the get. I was calm and did not want to be rude because ultimately I liked the final result but this man wouldn't let me get a word in and was getting louder and more aggressive as i tried to speak to him. He was mainly talking over me and repeatedly said that my hair was a night and day difference and isn't that the point, that my hair looks better. He aggressively asked me what was it that i was looking to achieve by calling and I simply wanted the respect to be told about what treatment was being done to my hair before it gets done, proper human decency and respect. I didnt realize how difficult of a task that is for some. Moreover I wanted to know why it couldn't have been told before hand that just doing a glaze treatment would not give the desired results. In the midst of his aggressive barking he told me to come back to his salon for a full refund when I said I didn't want a full refund he tauntingly repeated that he's gonna give me a full refund. So when I finally agreed and said I will come back this man told me I can have a full refund and he'll also take out the glaze. What a classy person. If you can't decide between coming here or another place, just go somewhere else. Save yourself the disrespect, insults and bad energy and go to a place that respects their clients and their wishes.

Such a great experience!! I came in with dry and damaged ends. I completely trusted Philip with what he suggested, from the color to the haircut style. It fit my face perfectly. I walked out of there with a big smile, my hair felt and looked healthy again. I was overwhelmed with the compliments of the staff haha. It was one of my best hair experience ever!! Did I mention the amazing view he has in the back as well. SO BEAUTIFUL AND ABSOLUTELY RELAXING.

Been going to Barb at Philip Salon for awhile now. She is not called “The Sculptress” for nothin’. She’s cut my hair in both short and long styles, each time making it look gorgeous. She’s also helpful in giving me tips on how to get the same results at home. I truly feel pampered when she attends my hair. We always start with a chat about what I like/don’t like about my hair and she listens and offers suggestions. Go see Barb. She’ll style your hair with sparkle and care.

I just got the best haircut of my life by Barb, the Sculptress. I am up in CT for a work assignment And desperately needed a haircut because I haven't been able to find anybody that can cut my long hair properly and frame my face the right way. Barb spent So much time to get it exactly perfectly right I am more thrilled than I can tell you. Seriously the best cuts of my entire life and I've worked for 15 years in New York City and got my hair cut there regularly. And on top of that she's just a doll and so kind and funny and loving. Wonderful experience. Can't wait to see her again

Similar to great talents like Madonna and Rihanna, “Sculptress” is also addressed by a single name, and she has every right to be. In the short time I’ve been going to her, I saw an incoming shy woman with frazzled hair prance out of the place like she just drank a latte with a shot of sass. Wiggling everything she had. I saw a lady who was a customer earlier in the day stumble in a few hours later to tell Sculptress she just got hit on for the first time in a LOOONG TIME. You could tell she capitalized on the moment by having a few at the local pub and putting herself out there. I often wish there was another guy to witness these things with me but there I am, alone in my chair with a glass of Pinot and just stories to tell. Sculptress always shares a chuckle with me, her way of showing I’m not alone in these moments. It’s obvious that Sculptress has a talent that transforms and makes people feel great about themselves. If you are a guy that is getting a good haircut one month and a bad one the next like I did my entire life, book with Sculptress and that will change. I usually tell her do whatever she wants to my hair and she always keeps me looking and feeling good!

Barb the Sculptress is so talented. She corrected a horrible haircut I had and now I will only be going to her. Thank you Barb for making me look fabulous! The salon has a new location and the space is gorgeous. Loved the massaging chairs! Philip and the team are so much fun!
