My dad and I visited yesterday, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Amanda cut my dad’s hair, but he was not satisfied with the result. I had specifically requested Amanda for my service, and despite her assurance, I ended up waiting for hours only to be handed off to her assistant. To make matters worse, they made me pay before even doing my hair, and Amanda didn’t perform the service as promised. I do not recommend Amanda for service; she does a horrible job.

I had my eyebrow appointment with Amanda today and she was absolutely AMAZING! She took her time and fixed all the botched up things my other stylist did. She actually listened to me about how I wanted them styled! She is an absolute gem and I will 💯 be back! I walked out feeling amazing! Thank you!!!

My recent experience was disappointed. Couple day before my appointment, I called to confirm that I have long hair, and I even sent a picture of the color I wanted. We had a FaceTime call too, so the stylist could see my hair length and everything. But when I got there, I was told my hair was too long and that they didn’t have enough color! It’s honestly pretty surprising that a salon in a mall wouldn’t have enough color on hand for a confirmed appointment, especially after all the communication beforehand. It just feels really unprofessional.

Amanda always does the creative work and my hair always comes out like one of a k8nd ! I recommend her barbering services and artistic coloring to every one lots of fun and laughs ,the salon is clean very comfortable and all of the barbers stylist are down toearth and welcoming to you. You wont want to leave once you get here and this will be your final search for looking to find the right salon and the right barber /stylist Thanks amanda severance and Paul Mitchell salon and barber .

I’ve been going to Amanda Severance for 4 years now. I am so happy with her color services and I will not go anywhere else for my hair cut. She listens to what you want and takes very good care of the integrity of your hair and will do color/lightening accordingly. She makes me laugh through the appointment as well which is another reason I go to her. Her blowouts are great for a party or occasion. She’s also very accommodating.

Paul Mitchell Salon in Colonie Center is reasonably priced and Tina is fantastic! A former stylist was terrible and rude but now every time I stop in the other stylists are doing a great job, very friendly, and if Tina wasn’t available I’d go to them. This place was a lucky find and love that they accept walk ins.

WORST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE!!!!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!! I booked an appointment with Tana and had my hair cut by Tina instead, who I’ve gotten a haircut from before. I showed her several pictures of a short/medium shag cut and explaining what I liked and didn’t like, which maybe if she listened it would’ve came out better. I got a one length bob cut at LEAST 2 inches shorter than what I asked for. I grew out my hair for 4 months for this appointment, I’m completely devastated. I called ahead of time confirming the price and if the butchered job she did wasn’t bad enough she also tried to overcharge me, and was talking badly about her coworker and trying to get me to have her give me a haircut somewhere else so she’d make more money.

Amanda Severance gave me a great haircut. She took the time to understand my hair and what I wanted for it, making small adjustments until it was just right. I usually go a long time between haircuts, letting my hair grow out and wearing it long part of the year, but I like this cut a lot so I may be back sooner.

I feel butchered. I was half way through my haircut when my stylist told me that really he is a barber, but not many men come in to the salon and it doesn't pay the bills so he's learning how to do womens cuts. He didn't section anything off or cut in layers, he just edged the bottom with scissors. And kept going back, and back and back again trimming more. One person told me that I look like the Johnny Depp version of Willa Wonka. Another called me Lord Farquad. This is hands down the worst experience I have ever had having my hair cut.

I went there before had a great experience. I tired going back today. I called asking what the service I wanted what did it come with exactly. The lady that answer the phone was very rude & disrespectful. I will not be going the this salon anymore. Customer Service was awful hung up on me multiple times when I was talking. Called back multiple times on my phone no answer. I called back on my fiancé phone she answer right away. Long story short people are rude & I won’t be going to your salon's no more. Very disappointed

The only reason this is getting a three was because Tana was a gem. Very sweet and did an excellent job on my hair. There were two of us and the individual who did my cousins hair was rude as could be. Our appointments were at 1:15 and I did not sit down to have my hair done until 1:45 or so. We were not a walk in and had scheduled this appointment. Again, Tana was wonderful. The salon was super busy and it looked like each stylist was shuffling between three different clients. Back to the other hair stylist. My cousin received a hair wash and the stylist did a great job curling the hair. The stylist had a difficult time doing a twist of hair in the back. She put in an elastic in my cousins hair and ripped it out. It hurt based on the look of her face. Apparently my cousins hair was “too slippery”. I watched the stylist speak very harshly to the other stylist who was trying to schedule another appointment and be accommodating. The stylist was not able to finish her hair and my cousin went to Tana while the other stylist washed someone’s hair. Tana’s customer service skills were great. Luckily, we were still happy with the finished product. Tana was a great experience.

Came in for a hair cut, the price is written outside $35 dollars(blow and cut) and they will tell you it’s $45. It’s a ripoff. There’s even a hand written card saying you can’t negotiate the price: very classy.

I was in last week and wanted a face framing blonde balayage done. The color was yellow, absolutely no blending. The cut was horrible. Longer in the front. I was told to come back so they can blend it. I went else where and paid them to fix it for me. No way was I going to be dumb enough to let them mess it up even more a second time! I'll never step foot back in there. It was done by the owner Francesco and Tina. Both nice but totally clueless!

Prices on the list said children 12 and Under $20. They cut my 11 year olds hair and told me after that it was $45. Didnt even get a wash and style just a haircut! I asked why it said $20 and they said her hair was long. It was down to her shoulder blades. Never going back.
