Been going here for haircuts (actually our whole family does, including two girls and a boy), love the salon. Came here for hairstylist Sarah, who always does a fantastic job for all of us. Very welcoming and friendly and relaxing atmosphere and the staff is really polite and helpful, which we could all use a little more of today.

I went there for a haircut and Balayage with MJ. I halready had some highlights and she told me that I won’t get the desired color I wanted because of color . She showed me some dark brown colors and i agreed to it. I saw color of my hair lightened I went for wash and toner. When I came back she was rude. As I could not see any color on my hair I started to take in mirror. She asked me stop doing that. After drying a little I saw no color. I told her. I saw may hair lightened. This is dark. She is went on defense and started to be stern and started to shut me down. I am not a confrontational person. She said I know your hair I lighted but I had to with color of hair bottom and or it would look like those old ladies with hot roots. I was done. I decided to just leave. I came home upset and sad that I have balayage only at crown and ends are jet black. I paid 358 dollars for hot roots and hair cut. My hair was frizzy and she wanted me to step out like that. So I requested her to blow dry. She did, but told me I have a client coming 10 minutes. Also I was clear I don’t want copper or red under tone my hair is brassy/copper. I came home upset and called them again and the person at reception was very understanding and said someone will get back to you. No one has. All was good till I didn’t complain. The moment I complained. I don’t know why she was not okay with me expressing my opinion. She wasn’t interested in me as client. Zero client satisfaction

I have been getting my hair done by M.J. at Patrick’s for at least 12 years. I have received nothing but professional and friendly customer service throughout all these years. Jodie and her husband have built a wonderful salon that evolves with new offered services, while staying true to who they are as a small business. Front desk staff and salon assistance are all very friendly and helpful, which makes me appreciate this place even more. I’ll never leave this place. And not just because of my personal stylist, but because the place it amazing!

Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone appears happy to work there, starting with Justine at the Front Desk, a lovely, kind presence. Seems to coordinate appointments with ease. It is a beautiful salon…sparkling clean and always elegant. Jodie is the best hair colorist in the Baltimore Washington area. My hair is particularly challenging, often turning brassy. I think I have tried every salon nearby (and some far away!) to finally find the perfect person. My search has taken 50 years!. It is such a joy to know Jodie has the skill and experience I’ve been looking for. I will never look anywhere else. She is absolutely extraordinary, and I recommend her enthusiastically. You will not be disappointed..

I was searching for a stylist who specializes in men’s haircuts using scissors (vice clippers, a barbershop specialty). John was did a great job sharing his expertise and helping me understand what I needed to do to accomplish the look I was after. I plan on returning to him for the foreseeable future.

I’ll keep this short. This was the best haircut I’ve had since I moved to Columbia in 2004. I explained to Anne how I wanted the cut, showed her a photo and let her do her thing. I have two “trouble spots” that stylists can never seem to get right and I either have to trim things myself when I get home or use extra product to get my hair to style correctly. Without me saying a word, she noticed the areas, addressed them, and told me what she had done to address them. Ironically, Patrick’s is a mile from my house and it took me almost 20 years to find it. Moving forward I won’t go anywhere else.

Loved this place 6 years ago. The staff was very polite, but the hairdresser did not pay attention to the 8 reference photos of myself from less than a year ago or the instructions and feedback I gave. When trying to express things about how my hair works to help provide more context to what I need. She interrupted me to talk about her own hair. Additionally, it was clear she was in a rush. While it will grow out, I am incredibly displeased with this haircut and wish I could fast forward to 3 months from now when I expect i will finally be willing to wear it down without a headband. Unfortunate.
