I am VERY picky on who I let touch my hair. I want someone who cares for the health of my hair and what treatments are best for my hair. Sweet Donna. I found Donna when I started going to Parlour 818 on Devine Street. I stalked her work on Instagram and HAD to have her do my hair. Years later I still see Donna and can walk out of the salon feeling my absolute best self. She’s not only a fantastic stylist who is knowledgeable and educated in the field, but has become a lifelong friend. Since seeing Donna, I’ve referred a handful of friends because she’s just THAT good and will continue to sing her praises to everyone I know. Love love love Parlour 818 and my girl Donna. Go see her- you will NOT be disappointed.

I had the pleasure of having Caidence as my stylist, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment I walked in, she was friendly, personable, and made me feel completely at ease. She listened carefully to what I wanted and worked efficiently, getting the job done without any rush. The end result was fantastic – my hair has never looked better! I highly recommend Caidence for anyone looking for a talented, professional, and kind stylist. Will definitely be coming back!

I’ve been a Parlour client since 2021 and I always love it! Jacky always crushes my haircut and balayage plus I’ve also enjoyed blowouts and other services with Laila, Haley, Samantha and Cadence as well! The whole team is super well trained, always welcoming, well organized and efficient! Plus they all know you by name and greet you with a smile, even if you’re not their client. Highly recommend for anyone in Columbia, SC

I have been seeing Lex for my extensions and hair for four years now and LOVE everything about Parlor 818 and how skilled my stylist is! I travel 2.5 hours to see my stylist because he was completely transformed my hair and is so healthy! I cannot say enough good things but thank you for always making me leave feeling beautiful!

I adore this salon. Several months ago, I really wanted to get in to get my roots dyed on short notice. They were amazing and got me in the next day. Molly had been fantastic! She is quick, great at what she does, and a great person to talk to. I have a ton of hair, so it usually takes forever to do mine - she’s very quick with or without sacrificing the end result!

I went to the Parlour 818, after experiencing an issue with another parlour. My hairstylist was Haley and she did fantastic she turned my hair into the exact “type of blonde” I was looking for (without me having to really say anything). She was so sweet and great to talk too and I am planning on getting my hair done soon and it will definitely be by Haley! Thank you Parlour 818!!

Jacky is absolutely amazing. I have had a hard time finding a stylist who understands what I am trying to achieve and takes pride in what they do, then knocks it out of the park every single time. I walk in looking well over my age and leave looking 20 years younger. Not to mention the fact that my husband notices and loves my hair after she gets done with me. Thank you Jacky, for EVERYTHING!!!!

Absolutely love this place. After losing my previous hairstylist, I was concerned about finding a new "home." A friend suggested Parlour818 and I went online to check it out. I loved what I saw and decided to schedule a consultation to figure out if it was right for me. I loved the aesthetic as soon as I walked in and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Multiple hair stylists stopped to compliment my hair despite it needing a touch-up. They all made me feel so great about myself! I booked an appointment and finally went today! I felt at home immediately and absolutely loved Jacky. She did an amazing job and I am thrilled. Everyone at Parlour seems amazing and there is a very positive atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to my next appointment!

I am very happy with my experience at parlour 818 today. I got my long curly hair cut short into a curly pixie cut, and I could not be more please with how I look. Terry my stylist was wonderful and gave me his honest opinion on weather I should cut my long hair short. I came in with the intention of getting just a trim, but I had been thinking of dramatically changing my look and wasn't sure if short hair would suit my face. He took his time to check my hair and to assess if it would work, and then told me that it would be possible with short sides and more length on top. He also accommodated my request to tie off some of my hair before cutting to see if I could donate it. I had originally booked an appointment on a certain day and then called them to ask if they could find a slot for me the day before that, and they did adjust my appointment easily. For the experienced stylist who I trusted to cut my hair really short and for the excellent service at the front desk, I think this place deserves 5/5 stars. I was left with the impression that they really care about what they do.

I called and they took me in for a last minute appointment. I was greeted at the door when I walked in by name, so impressed by the atmosphere as soon as I walked in. Alex my stylist did AMAZING!!! Super sweet. I usually get anxious for hair appointments, but she kept the conversation light and allowed me to sit back and relax. She did a balayage, cut and style. I loved it and I felt the pricing was very reasonable.

I come to Haley every once in a while for a color touch up and cut and leave everytime I leave with my mascara running from laughing so hard. She does an amazing job & the ambience is very relaxing

If you’re looking for a salon in the Columbia area, Parlour 818 is it. After searching and trying many other salons over 12 years, I will never go anywhere else in the area. Donna is my girl, I’m a natural blonde who went dark and back again, and Donna has my hair the healthiest it’s ever been even with all the changes Ive requested of her. She listens to what I want and gives me options to keep my hair healthy and looking flawless each time.

Maria is amazing! I trust her 100% with my hair and to do what’s best for it. She’s very knowledgeable and will let you know if something isn’t going to work how you want it. She’s the only stylist I’ve let give me a suuuuper short cut because I trust her that much, she also made bangs work for me when everyone told me they wouldn’t. Always love my experience here and look forward to my appointments!

My experience at 818 was definitely a rollercoaster. (But I would recommend it) I went in for a face framing balayage, and came out with.... well I'm not sure what to call it. My hair was the same blonde color I went in with, except my stylist only touched my front pieces. The color we discussed before hand was a "cooler, brighter, blonde", kind of what I had already but a little bit brighter he said he would do. Terry was my stylist, and our conversation was a little odd. It wasn't like my normal experience at the salon; no "what's your favorite show?", or "any fun summer plans?". Instead, he asked me some awkward questions I didn't like while getting my hair done. I felt uncomfortable the whole time. He washed my hair out and he knew it was brassy. He showed me and said that he would fix it with another round of toner, but that didn't fix it. I didn't know what to say. I asked for bright blonde and got a brassy orangey- reddish blonde. It wasn't blended at all, but I thought that was what a balayage was, so I was really upset. He apologized and said I could come back if "I decide I hated it" and he would fix it. Also, I was the last person in there. I was in the salon from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. I didn't say anything originally because the place was literally closed; the front door was locked, and everything was put away/ being cleaned up. Terry did give me a discount on my hair because he knew it wasn't what I asked for. I felt an obligation to pay (even though I really didn't want to) because Terry and the owner, Lex, were standing over Susan as I was paying. Right after I paid, Terry left right away. He basically ran out the back door after I swiped my card which I didn't like. The next day, Susan called me first thing in the morning saying that she was happy to accommodate me to come get it fixed. I explained to her the situation and how I felt. At first, I didn't want to ever go back there. But eventually I decided that I should go back and have a different stylist fix my hair. I went back and everyone was so kind. Lex fixed my hair exactly how I wanted! I will say even though I was originally really upset with my hair, I love it now that Lex fixed it. Terry was there and didn't say anything to me the whole time I was in there. The rest of the staff was so sweet. They really made it up to me with my second visit, and I am happy I decided to go back. Thank you everyone for being kind enough to fix my hair for me no problem!

My wife had her hair ruined at this salon. She was crying at the desk as she showed the lady the dreadful cut. They still charged her the full amount. The cut is uneven and not what she asked for. We now need to find someone to put it right. Stay away from this place.

No other salon in Columbia can compare to the level of expertise you receive at Parlour 818. Lex and his team of stylists are the best in the business. The skill set they provide cannot be matched anywhere else . I have lived in larger cities such as D.C, L.A, and Nashville and Parlour is at the top!

Lex and his entire team are so talented, and I always walk out happy with my hair (NBR and regular blowout client), and feel welcome at the salon. Wish I could give 818 stars.
