Extremely disappointed with the customer service. This happened a few weeks ago but I’ve been nursing my cat back to health (attached photos of her and her feeding tube, and one today of her happy and healthy thank god!). I had an appt scheduled for 10 am on a Friday with Sandy (this has nothing to do with her! She is an absolute doll). I had been dealing with a sick pet and my vet called me Friday morning stating Blanche needed to get a feeding tube to survive and was scheduled for 10 am. I texted the shop as soon as I got off the phone bc my appt was when they opened on Friday at 10 am. Whoever was texting me at first seemed like they cared and said they could reschedule me for 2:30. Unfortunately I had to pick up Blanche at 3 in Franklin so there was no way that was going to work. Once I confirmed I could not make it Friday they said that they would have to charge me for the FULL service. Here’s the thing — I completely agree with cancellation fees being place. I also used to do hair and can understand the frustration. However, for the first time canceling and the situation I was in, to have no heart was extremely shocking and sad. I would have even understood a partial service charge but full service for the first time canceling was so disheartening. I was so excited to finally find a shop I loved as much as the place I go to Bowling Green. I will not never return to shop based on this experience. **Sandy, I hope you’re well and hopefully our paths will cross again the future! Honestly I’ve been going to this salon for years, My Hair Stylist Kimberly is a miracle worker, My hair is very difficult to work with and it’s very long . I went in yesterday to have a whole new color idea from jet black to a warm ash blonde brown . normally I’m hard to please but she just gets it right every time ! and she lifted me so much it was unbelievable ! My hair also is not damaged it’s very healthy and the color blend is beautiful ! I Love my hair and will always be a loyal client to my favorite Stylist Kim .

Let me say that in the beginning Lindsay the owner was very accommodating due to my stylist originally leaving and I had no clue, and she was able to get me in and still have an appointment that same day. This was important to me because of my work schedule. However, not once but twice I raised the concern that my hair was “too dark” and not the bright blonde that I was accustomed to. Please not that each time I communicated these issues to the stylist Kim which is the “manager”. I was honest, kept my professionalism about myself and asked how can we correct this issue for the second time? This was unfortunately followed by a snappy text where I had to correct the stylist Kim that this is not what I asked for… I did not want to add pigment I wanted and asked specifically for bleaching which is taking away pigment. When I could see this wasn’t getting resolved I then asked for Lindsey the owner to contact me. The stylist stated she would… weeks go by and no response so I reached out to her directly. I even sent pictures. Not only was my hair a miss but my daughters as well. To spend almost $2,000 within 2 appointments for myself and 2 appointments for my daughter they really missed the mark on this one and were given multiple opportunities to correct it BOTH TIMES! I’ll post as many pictures as Google will allow for reference. The first photos are what happened to my hair and what I needed corrected… the last bright photo is before I went to this salon and what I always get and know my hair can achieve.

I got a pedicure and Russian builder gel manicure. The pedicure was nice and there were no problems. I think my main problem is the manicure was $125 and four of my fingers were bleeding and now my cuticles are tender. If a place is going to charge that much for a manicure you should be getting the best quality manicure you can get. I probably won’t be back here.

I am not exaggerating when I say that my hair appointments at Olas & Flamingo were the best I have ever had! I was with Zoe for a hair cut and a hair botox session as well. For both, she was very honest and helpful when answering all my questions and it felt as if I was chatting with a friend while still maintaining a level of professionalism. She did a beautiful job on my hair cut and I never loved my hair more than after she did my hair botox. She spent more time than most stylists would getting to know my hair and personalizing the products I should use based on my hair type, and even invited me back for an additional washing when I had unsuccessfully used my new shampoo by myself. I highly reccommend Zoe for any hair procedure! A special shoutout to Kim and Sophie for being amazing hair consultants as well! I love all the girls that work here and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair in Nashville :)

Olas & Flamingo was so fun! We tried it because we had a discount code from Nudge, but I’ll definitely be back! The facility was clean, the techs were genuine and fun, and I loved how the pedicure turned out. ⭐️

My pedicure was absolutely amazing. It’s a dream one stop shop. Having a multitude of options from hair to nails. My pedicure lasted for weeks. & the customer service/environment was so friendly.

Wow, I just loved my nail experience here! I stopped in for a last minute appt. The space is beautiful, with bright and colorful decor. They offer a wide variety of complementary beverages, including canned cocktails. I got a manicure and pedicure and felt so relaxed. They add in a light massage that is such a treat. They also have a small shopping section with cute giftable items. I loved my experience here, and will definitely be back!

The staff at Olas & Flamingo take such good care of their clients! Everyone is always so kind and helpful, and ensures throughout every step of the process that you’re happy with your nails. I saw Sandy for my most recent acrylic set and she did not disappoint! Love this salon, will be coming back as long as I am in Nashville.

Edited to add in response to their reply: I added a screenshot of a photo I took on May 1 with the scab beginning to form (vs the other pic of what it looks like today and is much easier to see because the scabs darkened) and also added a screenshot of my receipt that shows that I checked out at 6:20 for my 3:15pm appointment. I also have texts to my husband during the service about how long it was taking and how I got cut, how the manicure sucked but I just wanted to leave, if you want further proof. Trust and believe I am not affiliated with the beauty industry and this is a real review from a real customer. And if whoever responded doesn't believe I was cut at the salon...I did bring it up to the person doing my nails when it started to hurt/turn pink while polishing and she apologized and applied anti-septic multiple times. Ask her. I even tipped 20% afterward and was just going to cut my losses and not write a review, but it got progressively worse afterwards. I would like people to make an informed decision about where they spend their money and where they let people handle a part of their body with sharp tools. I have had to be so careful with my hands because my cuticles are still tender today. Especially with the middle finger having that gash (to the point where I wasn't even using my left hand because accidentally brushing that middle finger against anything hurt and pulled at the scab since it's already swollen/enlarged underneath). And I wouldn't want anyone else to go through this. Tried a Russian manicure for the first time here and every single one of my fingers ended up with cuts & scrapes around the cuticle! From what I gather about this method you have to be highly trained or you risk damaging the skin — which based on the state of my cuticles...they are not trained in this method and shouldn't be offering it. I had a few cuts on the tops of my toenails from where she filed them down as well. During the mani it was slightly uncomfortable while she was working on the cuticles but nothing began showing until she was done and already moved onto polishing. The skin around one of my middle fingers started turning pinker and throbbing and as the time went on it began to resemble a scrape more and more. Nothing else showed until I actually left the salon. Every finger around my cuticles became sore and then the next day you could actually see the cuts starting to form! My middle finger took it the worst and I'll include a picture of it a few days later when it started scabbing so you can see it better. The area underneath the scab is pink and swollen which is a bit harder to see in pictures. I just hope it doesnt get infected or that any of the chrome powder got into it. Some of the gel pooled as well and created bumps that she tried fixing after I pointed it out but it still looks weird in photos especially. The polish started chipping a few days later as well but I didn't even want to come in and get that fixed as my cuticles were still sore and I'm leaving them alone to heal. Every time I get my nails done I ask for short and very square and while they all look like the shape I asked for, this has been the only time that the edges were so sharp that they were scratching everything (including my own skin) and getting caught on fabric. I had to fix that myself. And it took 3+ hours for a gel mani and regular polish pedi! Usually takes 1.5-2 hours. I would have been fine with the time if it was one of the best manicures I've ever had but even the polish application wasn’t neat. There is even chrome with top coat in some areas where there's not even the actual colored polish and it just looks so uneven as it grows out. Sad because they're nice people and the salon itself is so cute. But these reviews are for the quality of the services received. I came in and they were all complimenting my nail beds and cuticles and I ended up spending over $200 for them to completely butcher nails and skin.

This was my first time here, and I had such a lovely experience. Kelly did such an amazing job on my nails (gel x)!!!! Everyone in there was super sweet. Getting my nails done has been hit or miss lately, but this was a breath of fresh air!

Loveeeee Olas & Flamingo! I had originally went to another nail salon for a pedicure and had a disaster of an experience with the painting of my toenails. I went on social media and saw there was someone who also had a bad experience at the same nail salon I went to first …. But recommended Olas & Flamingo. & This nail salon did NOT disappoint!!!!! I absolutely loved it here and will be going back! I last minute found them bc of social media and messaged them because I had a wedding to go to and I couldn’t have my toes looking like the disaster they did! Kelly Nyugen accommodated me 10 mins before they opened and did a WONDERFUL JOB even with fitting me in before the morning schedule! I will 100% be coming back! My birthday party was also that weekend and they gave me a cute little birthday gift which was absolutely perfect!!! Thank you to Olas & Flamingo for also being so accommodating in repainting my toes and doing an EXCELLENT JOB! It’s been over 2 weeks and not a single chip or anything in sight! They’ve obviously grown out since then or else I would share a picture of them! Thank you so much!!!!! 🤍

Mae has been doing my nails for the past 3 years and I’ve never been anything more that satisfied! You can give her an idea or tell her exactly what you want and she will go above and beyond! My nails always last way longer than 2 weeks when she does them and I always get so many compliments when I’m out😊 (her pedicures are phenomenal as well)

When I was visiting my sister in Nashville and needed a fill for gel nails(builder gel). I saw not a lot of salons offer that service until I found olas and flamingo where I saw they did gel X on there web page. I reached out to them and the owner was so responsive, and willing to answer my questions. When I got to the salon, it was so cute and my nail tech was so personable and talented. She did exactly what I wanted. My nails turned out beautifully and I’m sad that I don’t live in Nashville to be able to get them done again here. Highly recommend because of the people, the aesthetic, the technique, and they offer every service!

Amazing service and an even more amazing team! I was visiting Nashville for an event and was looking for a last minute appointment and Olas & Flamingo came through. I booked my appointment 30 minutes before I arrived. The owner gave me a warm welcome and offered me a beverage. I gotta mention, the salon is beautiful! It's bright and colorful. Sergio is awesome and so kind! I showed him a picture of the manicure and pedicure I had in mind and he delivered! He was so patient and took his time. He let me see a couple of options as he was painting my nails to make sure I got the perfect look. Next time I visit Nashville, I will certainly stop by! I'll book a hair appointment, too. I only got my nails done, but was so impressed with the hair consultation and color/cut that was happening close by. Book your appointment!

Olas & Flamingo is a great addition to the 12ths neighborhood. I’m so happy with my pedicure and builder gel. I have been coming here for about 4 months now. I had to bring my friends from out of town for a spa party. They absolutely loved their gel manicures and pedicures. We will definitely do this again when their back in town.
