So Thurs jan 16th 2025 I went and got my hair braided at this salon for the first time from the owner at Ocean Beauty Salon in SLC and it's been a nightmare. I've been crying about not only spending all my birthday money on this hairstyle but the fact it does NOT look good and is not what I asked for and more importantlythis hairstyle she promised would last a month startedfalling out the same day she did it. I wanted flip fulani braids and came with many many different pics and vids of exactly what I wanted, but she either couldn't do it or just didn't care to do it right because the same night only 3 hrs later it's when the real human hair I bought first started just falling out onto the ground and hasn't stopped yet. Obviously I called the next morning so she could fix it and went back in with hand fulls of real hair to be put back in which she still incorrectly tied back on. Yes tied onto the braids not braided into. Secondly she did not tie off ANY of the braids and claimed they wouldn't come out because she braided to the end, but she completely lied because as you'll see they are all coming undone also making the real hair fall out even more. When i went back the next day again with pics to show her the problems with her braids she completely ignored me. I was asking her questions and she just didn't reply which was awkward af. She made me prepay for the whole service also which I regret and will never do again! I find these expensive ass human hair i paid extra for all over the place just falling out from my head still. This is just not right and please please reconsider if your thinking about getting services from this salon!

I was very disappointed in the service and my braids started coming out 2 days after I left the salon and didn't want to go back and she kept raising the price on me. For simple cornrolls, 170 bucks with no design

I am confused about this store. Everytime I attempt to go there, the sign on the door says open yet the doors are always locked. Is this store open for business or is it appointment only

I’m super disappointed a day previous I called the store and I asked if she would be available the next day to do my dreadlocks she said she was available at 4:30 so we scheduled an appointment for 4:30 PM and I even drove to the salon the same day I called them for her to check my hair and give me a estimate price on how much the dreadlocks would be so long story short the next day she texted me saying that she was all booked that same day that we set an appointment for 4:30pm. She said we could do it next week. Why get my hope up if you are just gonna cancel hours prior to my appointment??????

Rose did such a good job. Because it was box braids I thought it was going to take all day but she had me done with in 5 hours! My braids are nice and tight. I also got a pretty ring from her! Thank you Rose 💕

Rosie did my hair as well as my daughter’s and I absolutely loved the results. She’s super kind, and made me feel comfortable throughout my experience. She really knows how to do hair, would definitely recommend!

She did an absolute terrible job on my braids not one side was straight. She said she’s been doing it for 40 years and it absolutely does not show didn’t even make it out the parking lot before I took them out. It was a waste of my time and money I do not recommend, I wish I had pictures to show you guys how terrible it was ! She’s a sweet, nice lady but her skills to do braids are nonexistent

The rates are very reasonable in fact much less than most salons and Rose is very good. I’m so glad I found her for my hair extensions and her other hair services.

Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Stylist made me feel comfortable and at home. She was very kind and accommodating and even offered snacks and drink. Love the finished product. Great work. Would highly recommend.

I’ve been coming to this salon for a couple years for box braids , every time I come Rosie always does an amazing job with my box braids , she is very talented and friendly. I recommend her to anyone . Very awesome job . I would definitely come here every time to get my hair done .

My son had requested braids and it looked nothing like the photo he showed the hairdresser. Part of the braids were standing up and hair was sticking out. $50 later she would not return even half nor fix the problems. When asked if she could put the beads in she said no and no customer was waiting. She complained about customers while doing his hair and quite unprofessional. We will Never go back and report to higher authorities for not returning at least some of the money for the poor job.

She's a nice lady but I paid over a thousand dollars for dreds and they were done so poorly. It took an entire day (which is not a problem as long as they come out how I want them!). They're were all different lengths and thickness. And when I went back for a touch up she made them even worse. I don't know how she does with other stuff but don't come here for dreds.

Ms. Rosie was very professional and extremely nice. She did my hair and I love it! I will be returning to her to have her do my hair again. This was my first time going to her and she was friendly to me and made me feel very comfortable. She answered all of my questions and the scalp massage she gave when washing my hair was incredible.

I cannot say enough about this place! She is so kind and lovely. So wonderful on the phone. She was willing I add two more corn rows appointments last minute. The salon is great. It has a TV for kiddos. We will be back again for sure!!! Thank you!
