I went here for a lash lift and tint and I booked with Jayden H, she was so lovely and made me feel very comfortable while I was with her, she was very gentle with my eyes and was very meticulous throughout the service. I highly recommend her services at nova academy!!!

Karissa C has completed multiple services for me. She has completed full lash sets, back treatments, facials, waxing, lash lift, and lash and brow tints. This past appointment with her was outstanding. I asked for a cat eye look for my lashes and she provided just that. It was completed faster than most lash services but it was very high quality. Highly recommend her if you want to look and feel 100%.

Macy Zebro gave me a relaxing facial and eyebrow tints this year, and I am impressed. I can tell she loves this work and is excited about helping people look and feel better. I was especially amazed at seeing eyebrows on me!

Rita....I can't thank you enough!! I was in love with the color and cut before rolling out but in the sunshine even more beautiful!! By far one of the worst school salons I've been to. I would not recommend if you would like to sit there for hours while these poor students have to wait for “ instructor check”, with that, the instructor’s don’t seem very nice to the students or seem to care about their success. Definitely seems like the owner cares more about money than the students. Shame since my daughter was thinking about going to school here. Won’t be going back.

Lexi was amazing she made sure I was token care of she took her time with me she didn’t rush she was made me aware of everything she was doing I will be most definitely coming back to her she was the best !! She did an pedicure, facial , wash and style I fell asleep in her chair 😂

Please note that none of this is against the student that did my hair. She was amazing. She listened to me, was professional, and easy to talk to. I would definitely go back to her once she is graduated from Nova. However, the cost is insane for a hair school. Why would I go to a school if I am paying the same as going to a professional in Mankato and for it to take 7 hours? My next complaint is that the instructors were not professional. The instructors were not fully listening to what I wanted so my stylist had to correct them multiple times. In addition, I overheard an instructor loudly talking badly about a students to other students. The whole environment made me feel uncomfortable. You could feel the tension around the building just sitting in the chair. I’ve been to Nova many times before switching to the new location and I can say that it is different now. Different in a way where I will definitely not be returning.

I’ve been getting chemical peels and micro needling done and it’s made a huge difference for my skin. I’ve been seeing Ivy for about two months and she is awesome. She knows what she’s doing and she’s super gentle. Justine greets you like a friend and not a customer. It’s a relaxing experience and I’m always recommending this place!

Mankato Location We have been customers at Nova for years. I've been letting my daughter get peek a boo highlights for about 4 years now. This always cost me about $40 after tip. We would do 2 foils to lighten/bleach and 2 foils of color - 4 foils total. THEY WANTED $110 BASE RATE TO DO IT TODAY! I about fell over. I'm so glad I just didn't drop and go like I planned. I'm so glad I stuck around to overhear the price the instructor said. I stopped them in their tracks. We just did a hair trim and left. I would have been pissed picking my daughter up and finding out after they did the service the price. Saddly we won't be back with this pricing. The gals I talked to today said they have lost alot of clients do to this insane price hike at the beginning of the year. Otherwise they do a great job there. I use to recommend to alot of people to go to Nova. Can't do that anymore.

Came to nova yesterday to get pampered and the girls I worked with blew my mind above and beyond!!!would recommend nova to anybody over any other hair salon the girls there really take care of you and the trainer as well! went above and beyond deff made sure I didn’t leave the chair until I was 100% satisfied downright my time here was amazing my haircuts so cute thank you girls again!
