Had a horrible experience. I went in the shop and asked if they provided body wax services and they said yes. After waiting for 20 mins they took me in and i asked the lady again if they do body waxing and she said yes again. I asked her several other questions, she didnt seem to understand and went away and sent another girl. That girl came in and i asked her once again if they do body waxing services and she said yes and asked me to lie downa and started doing waxing. By seeing their small strips and small wooden wax applier, i suspected something was not right and i kept asking questions to the girl but she just kept going. She literally scrapped by hand off and i had to stop her in 3 strokes itself. My whole arm has a rash now. I don't know why people accept the reservations and cannot just say that we donot have those services. Please donot visit for waxing services.

This place rushes on they work and it's always empty . I was in there for damn near three hours and not a soul came in I should have knew them what it was.I had to coach the person doing my nails and feet on stuff they should already knew. Ion recommend this shop to anyone sorry .

When it comes to a relaxing and luxurious nail salon experience, New York Nails takes the cake. my preferred nail technician, has an eye for detail and always provides impeccable service. The dipping powder nails I got here were flawless and lasted for weeks. The salon's tranquil ambiance and skilled staff make it a true haven for nail enthusiasts.

I believe this is my sixth visit, I’m so glad I gave them a try! The facility is clean, they have a great selection of colors, and all but one time I was able to be immediately seated for service. My gel manicures and pedicures are consistently amazing! I feel like I’m receiving actual nail care (my cuticles are nice and smooth & my nails are strong). Even when I needed to wait 4 weeks my gel remained intact! Wish I had taken other pictures but will upload my recent set from yesterday. Mrs. Holly is my go to but I have had a positive experience with others as well.

Worst experience. I think they got new stuff and finishing is very poor. My nails doesn’t look like I got it done by professionals. Went with my sister and wasted 185$. I am not gonna visit this place ever again.

From what i see, Transparent nails are not easy to work with. It’s goopy and sticky when applying it, but my technician control it very well. I love the result, it gives a bit of oomph to your nails compare to normal acrylic

I like this place and recommend it. The only disappointment is that since they renovated the place, their prices went up a lot. Gel pedicure$40... a little pricey for me

Went in for a full set removal. Cut me twice trying to take the gel off and didn’t listen when I told her I had a damage in one of my nails under the acrylics. Nails were still uneven when she finished; as if she didn’t get everything off. She offered to put a color on top when I was done for a little bit more money. The polish was so old it didn’t match the color yellow I picked, and she couldn’t get of it out of the bottle because it was so chunky. She had to add remover to it to thin it out enough to use. And then the application was awful, a middle schooler could have done better. One coat of this bad polish and she was done. It was all over my fingers. When I went to get it removed at a different salon not long after, my nails were severely stained from the yellow. Never going back.

don’t be fooled by the four star rating.. was told i would be charged 45 for a full set and they charged 60 to my card, went in with two friends and they were both done 35 min before i was because it was a rushed poor job. didn’t do what they wanted and was difficult to work with to try and get something that we actually wanted done. all three of us walked out overcharged and disappointed by the rushed jobs and inability to be flexible. definitely a great place to go if you want to be overcharged and walk out disappointed. seemed that they were more interested in sitting on their cell phones. would never recommend this place to my friends. 0/10 would not recommend update: it’s been 3 days and 3 of my nails have fallen off from poor application. super bummed.

I’m giving two stars because my nails have actually stayed on! I had a certain thing I wanted done! They were good to help me find the exact color I wanted. After that it just went downhill and I was super bummed about it! The guy that did my nails took an hour and they weren’t done perfectly how I am use to. Halfway through he either got a phone call or made a phone call and through the rest of my mani he was on FaceTime with someone. He only put clear polish on my left hand and not my right! As I read a review also they were charged 60 as well! I was told it was going to be $40 and I left a $5 tip and I just checked my card and there was $60 charged! I will not be going back to this nail salon again! The first two are of my nails and the last is what I asked for!

I wish I knew the name of the guy who did my nails..he was amazing! I got exactly what I asked for...very polite and held a conversation and made me laugh the entire time. He took his time (even though the store was closing) and made sure I was satisfied with the end result! Will go back for sure.

My friend swears by New York nails and convinced me to try them out for the first time yesterday. I was beyond impressed!! They did an amazing job on my dip manicure and gave me exactly what I was looking for. The shape of my nails is perfect, the color is beautiful, and the woman who did my nails really took her time to make sure they were even and elegant. I’ve definitely found my new favorite nail place in Gainesville and will be returning when it’s time for a fill :)

This is probably the worst salon I have ever been to in the 4 years I have been getting my nails done. My toes were done fine, but when I got a full set with regular polish I instantly regretted it. I am aware that regular polish takes a while to dry vs gel, but this nail polish took 3 hours to set in, got smashed when I had to out my sandals on and the lady had an attitude when she had to re-polish it and missed spots during the original coats. Around my nails were not cleaned up and it just looks very sloppy. Won't be returning. They only get three stars because at least my toes look good, the nail shape is great, and was not crooked. It was the customer service and nail polish job that was lacking.
