My stylist is Maria….She is a very humble and cheerful person with a very bubbly personality and has amazing skill and product knowledge. I got my hair extensions “Micro-Links” done by her. I am very satisfied every time I leave the salon... definitely recommend her to anyone!!!!!!

alida is one of the best hair stylist at that salon my hair lasts almost 2 weeks straight, i go there every other week. she is so nice and uses heat protectant for my hair!! she is amazing! thank you so much for such great service!

I had the worst experience. I asked to dye my hair and blowout with rollers. After she dyed my hair, the other lady rolled my hair up without stretching it with only 6 rollers. Then put me under the heat because she was rushing to do another client's hair. I had to wait forever to get blow dry afterwards. Another lady tried to blow dry my hair aggressively, she burnt my scalp so bad I couldn't tolerate it I had to switch her with another lady. They claimed that my hair is stiff. I had it done many times with rollers and came out extremely nice and flat but because they are bunch of inexperienced women don't care about their clients. Never ever will go back again. Not to mention the 3 hours I spent in that place.

It was my birthday and I went for a color and blowout. I got there and was greeted friendly. I even had a great young lady who colored and washed my hair. The stylist instead of waiting for me put two people ahead of me then told me I had to wait because then she overbooked herself even though I was in front of other people that came in the door, they then wanted to put me with a less experienced stylist to get me out the door. They charged me full price to walk out the door with wet hair. I want the owner to contact me because all the numbers I call are disconnected.

This salon used to be my favorite but they have really gone down. Don't let Ms. Attitude with the blond hair touch your hair. Her flat iron smells burnt, which leaves your hair smelling like it for days after you get it done. She also rushes through, even though it was a Sunday morning and there weren't any customers waiting. Maybe her coffee was getting cold, not sure. My hair normally stays straight for 2 weeks but when she's involved, it barely lasts a week. She doesn't take her time and part small sections to straighten. To make it worse, she burned my scalp twice.

I’ll never be back. My daughter and two other girls came in for a wash and set. They initially said it would be $35 but due to my daughter’s length they changed the price to $50. (Mind you my daughter’s length is right below her shoulders.) I didn’t agree with that but let it slide…. my friend asked if they could not use a lot of heat on their hair to avoid breakage… The woman doing my daughter’s hair began speaking in Spanish. Little did she know we know Spanish… she said “you bring her in here with nappy hair and think the heat breaks off her hair?”. FIRST OF ALL… my daughter wears her natural curls her hair is NOT nappy it’s well managed and taken care of. I’d rather you as a stylist admit that you do not know how to manage all hair types hence why you guys put perm in your products and how dare you talk crap about a child sitting in your chair in a different language. No one was rude to you at all. We simply asked that you turn down the heat. Completely unprofessional…. 0 out of 5 stars for me. My Mom, sisters and kids will never be back.

Do NOT go here! I had beautiful curly natural hair. Once I washed my hair the whole front of my hair was straight! I thought it was heat damage but after seeing other reviews I definitely feel like they put chemicals in their products. Also everyone in there had a bad attitude!

***WARNING*** IF YOU HAVE HEALTHY NATURAL HAIR DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!*** They have no idea how to care for natural hair! I took my daughter here for a wash and set. My daughter had thick, long and even level hair before her visit to this salon. The lady who washed and conditioner her hair started to comb my daughter’s hair from the root down. Anyone on with natural hair knows you should start to detangle natural hair from the bottom up to the root, then proceed to comb the hair down to prevent breakage. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN HERE! As I had to teach this Lady how to comb my daughter’s hair. By the time I saw how she was handling her hair it was too late!!! Chunks of my daughter’s beautiful long hair was ripped off of her hair!!!! Again, IF YOU HAVE NATURAL HAIR WITH A BEAUTIFUL CURL PATTERN DO NOT GO HERE!!!! You are better off paying the extra money to have your hair done right instead of it being ripped out and then having to pay for it later!!!!

Hit or miss salon . Cheap prices on Blow dry and flat-iron Mon-Wed but that’s cheap price will cause you heat damage because they don’t know how to control heat on kinky curly hair . Even when you’re trying to communicate with them , they just shake their head like they understand everything you’re saying . My sister and I have tried to going throughout different times of year . Same issue every time we go and then weeks past by and we wash our hair IT SMELLS LIKE A RELAXER for weeks . Heat damage areas everywhere. Find another Dominican salon please.

I do not recommend this place unless you’re just getting a simple wash and set (with rollers). Anything and they will fry your hair. I had beautiful full curls (3b-3c) before I went in (with a fresh cut so my ends were really healthy). When I washed my hair out, I now had some dead ends that just don’t curl anymore. I am sad about it but it’s my fault for not just getting out and leaving. When I was trying to tell the lady who was blowing out my hair that she was using too much heat she didn’t understand me and so the lady at the front desk came up to translate but she was just rude and didn’t help. I decided to just accept my fate but I wish I didn’t now. Also the lady who washed my hair was SCRUBBING my SCALP with her nails. It hurt so bad even 2 days after the service. Omg y’all idk what I was doing to myself. It is what it is and from reading the other reviews I know I’m not the only one. Hair grows back so I’ll be fine but the experience was so horrible. Sighhhhhh

I love new look! They are very professional. As you walk in you’re greeted and asked your reason of visiting!! You’re literally in and out! I love the ladies there! My hair is always washed and deep conditioned and blown out perfectly! I’ve been a lot so customer for over 4yrs.

I was they had a no star button but they don't. I've been coming to this salon for 9 years. I use to enjoy the staff and every service I received. They have gone under new management and then let go all of the shampooers and beautician. I've had multiple issue with new staff for example my hair being dirty after being washed, not received the services I requested, over charging me for services I didn't received. I tried to work with them off and on for a year just in case I just had a few corks but it just didn't workout. Now I looking for a new salon . I will keep you posted if I find a new on in the Laurel Beltsville area.

I wish I could leave ZERO stars. But beware if you love your natural kinky coily hair DO NOT GO HERE. I’m pretty sure they’re putting some type of chemical like a relaxer in their shampoo/conditioner.

I’ve come to this hair salon several times over the past few years without issue. Unfortunately three weeks ago, I came for a “wash and set” with rollers and a “deep condition”. My hair looked nice throughout the day. The next morning I had a sew-in installed. But I just washed my hair a few days ago and my curls are gone. I have 3C/4A natural hair. Now my curl pattern from roots to the middle is like 3B and the ends of my hair are bone straight. It looks how someone’s hair would look if they were transitioning from perm to natural smh. I washed and conditioned my hair several times and it will not revert. I think it’s safe to say that “deep conditioner” most likely had some sort of chemical in it 😔

So I recommend this salon ONLY IF you are well-versed in washing your own hair correctly. Clarify, strengthen and hydrate, 3 shampoos and then deep conditioning. I know that sounds like a lot and you’re like, “Well that’s why I go to a salon!” But believe me, if THIS is the one you’re going to, you need to be able to wash your own hair prior. I normally do my own washing no matter where I go because no one washes the way they teach at school (idk why), but ONE TIME I said, “I’ll let them do it. It’s their job anyway.” No. The woman that presses me is always fantastic, but my wash left natural oil on my hair and so it was burned into my strands. Absolutely devastating. I am natural and take good care of my hair so imagine getting your curls pressed to oblivion because oil is being flattened (burned!) into them, reducing you to straight hair for at least a month after you wash out the press! Wash and condition your own hair the night before or morning of and then let them blow it out and press it. That’s my personal experience and advice, and I’ve been going here for 4 years.

They put vigorol a temporary hair relaxer in my hair without my permission. I’ve been going to them for a few years and didn’t realize it. The chemical smells like burnt hair and/or fertilizer. As a black woman I’m very angry because I brought my own conditioner and shampoo to ensure that no other chemicals were used on my hair. They still snuck it in. I’ve been natural for 14 years. I found out from my natural hair stylist what it was. My problem with this is that they did not ask me first and never told me that a chemical was in my hair. BLACK WOMEN: if you go here please bring your own conditioner and shampoo and make sure they are not applying anything else to your hair. or wash your hair at home. Make them show you the entire process. It takes quite a few washes for the vigorol to wash out so it will be months before my natural texture bounces back.

To anyone who actually cares about their natural hair. Please don’t go here. The prices may be affordable, but they have no idea what they are doing. I cringed while watching how much excessive heat is used to straighten hair. They brush and comb through hair with no care, just trying to finish it as quickly as possible. If you love your curls and coils and don’t want them damaged, steer clear of this place.

I came and got my hair blown out the lady had asked me if I wanted a trim & cut a huge piece of my hair out in the front and made bangs. My hair is very uneven and this isn’t what I asked for. The Spanish lady at the front desk is VERY rude and argumentative and dosnt accommodate customers in any way. She never offered a discount or apologized for the inconvenience. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR HAIR RUINED!! VERY horrible customer service! Wont be returning.

I do not recommend them. I get my hair done every other week & every time I try to give them a chance I regret it. Today I went for black/dark brown color, but my hair came out dark brown/red. They offered no solutions, styled it with ugly curls, & demanded almost $100. I hate it so much. Save yourself the wasted money & frustration & stay away from these unlicensed stylists! Now I have to go somewhere else to correct the color.

I would NEVER recommend this salon to anyone! Went here 1/24/23 to get a blow out. The woman who serviced me asked if I wanted a trim as well. I agreed to a TRIM. She began trimming my hair in the back however in the front she began cutting and all I saw was inches of hair falling before me. She cut entire straight across my forehead bangs. Very short bangs!! Can you imagine asking for a trim and end up with bangs? Two very different requests. I addressed my disservice to a woman at the front desk and she was very rude and argumentative even after admitting my hair did not look good to her. She never apologized or gave any appropriate solution to consoling me. This is the worst hair experience I’ve ever encountered and would highly recommend others to not support this business! Awful!
