I have been taking my daughters to Nela's for over a year now and we love her. She is such a kind and thoughtful person and she is great with children. She is gentle and patient with my girls when they get antsy and fussy. I show her a picture of the style we are looking for and we walk out with exactly what we wanted. Her prices are very reasonable. She has a customer for life!

Nela is a very kind and an incredibly talented hair braider. I am always pleased with the outcome of my hair when she braids my hair. She is also very quick when she braids. I always receive several compliments after Nela braids my hair. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

She is very kind , and knowledgeable. I called her out the blue when the person whom normally does my hair had to cancel , explained to her I had my 4 year old daughter with me and she was ok with this. I told her as I tell everyone whom touches my hair that I am the most tender headed person in the world. She listened and retwisted my hair in the most painless manner that I didn’t no was possible, still did a great job, also included a wash retwist , dry, and style . After moving to MD from Atlanta a few months ago, I was looking for a stylist to install protective styles like crochet braids and Havana twists. I called a few places to get prices and Nela not only had the best prices, she also welcomed me to the area. She’s professional, friendly and does a great job.

Nela is very professional. This is the 2nd time I have gotten sengalese braids with her. She ask for the style I like. She is responsive to make appointments and lets me know which hair is best to purchase. Nela is very nice and offered me water and snacks while I get my hair done. She is gentle when braiding. Her pricing is fair as well.

I have know Enole since 2007. I met her at Big G's Hair Salon. I was a walk in and no one wanted to do my natural hair. She immediately told me that she would do my hair when she finished with the client she was working on. She was professional, kind and gentle. She has done my natural hair since then. I get a lot of compliments.

Am I getting a discount for the inconvenience, your reviews said you were nice so I'm trying to give you a chance. And then she stopped responding, so I will take my time and money elsewhere. Unprofessional, wanted to give them a chance because of the great reviews but guess not. Called the number on the web, first she answered then hung up, and texted. Told her what time I got off and that I scheduled a sitter and she tells me on the day of the appointment that she doesn't come in until 7pm Is this real life?!! Horrible.

I found Nela 5 years ago and have never left. She is one of the nicest people i have met since moving to Marland. Nela is a true artist and professional stylist. I have always been satisfied with my hair styles. I strongly recommend her services whether you are looking for cornrows, micro-braids, locs, or weaves. She is the best!

Tomorrow would be 3 weeks I had Marley twist and it looks like I have had for 7 months. After 2 days I had sine come out and they all look very messy. Taking all out tomorrow.

she does an awesome job so far i been to her twice first time seneglese braids second which was bout two weeks ago for big cornrows..i received many compliments from friends and other random people..definitely go to her nela takes great pride in her work😄

I was so pleasantly surprised to learn that Nela does not believe in pulling your hair follicle up thru your scalp! Nela is gentle and styles your hair without giving you a headache. She is extremely talented and knowledgeable when it comes to braids corn rows, and twists etc; she can style natural hair, permed hair, or weave; Her prices are reasonable and I've always been happy with my styles, getting many compliments from strangers when I've left her place. You will not be disappointed with her work and expertise.

Nela Nela Nela!!!!!!!! She saved my life! I moved here from Charlotte North Carolina where I had a wonderful hairdresser. I moved to this area last year and have been disappointed by every single sew in that I have had.....until I met Nela!!!!!!!!! She knows how to braid hair so that an install lasts a good 2.5-3 months without having to tighten or retouch. Everyone else tries to put this "net" on my hair, so I can't get to my scalp, and I'm left with these thick loose braids under the net, making my head look like a helmet. Nela braids my hair so nice and my install from my sew in lasts for a very long time. She is extremely professional, very very nice and welcoming, and her work is amazing. Everytime I come here she makes me feel like family. We laugh, we joke, and drink hot tea and eat good food. She's truly a phenomenal woman inside and out. I have brought my daughter to her for box braids, and my daughter has not once winced in pain at and she did an excellent job. I look forward to coming to see her for our hair appointments. She is highly recommended.

At the beginning of the year, I started working with various "lock-ticians" with disappointing results. To be specific, after having my hair "locked," it only lasted three or four days (when I was told it would stay in place for 2-3 weeks). Frankly,I was ready to give up when I stumbled upon Nela. She has been working with me since the first of July and the results are GREAT!!! She told me it would take 3-4 months to finish the journey and after two appointments, I believe we are on track for success. Nela's creativeness and experience in dealing with "hard-to-lock" hair has proven to be just what the doctor ordered!

I got my hair done at Nela's again on last week. She did a BEAUTIFUL job. I just love her. She greets and welcomes you into her home so warmly. I have been going to Nela's Nu Hair for about 3 months. Every time I get my hair braided she is fast and gentle on my hair. I always get compliments on my hair styles and they are always very neat. My 6 year old daughter also enjoys getting her hair done because she knows that it will not hurt and the service is fast.

I'm sure many can relate to the challenging process behind natural hair transformation. I have been going to Nela's for about 2 years and I can honestly say that she is a true natural hair consultant, which is very rare. Her services are simple and flexible, yet she's an extreme talent and her passion shows through her work. Not to mention, she's very hospital and refreshing. When i first went to get dreads many people said my hair was to straight and/or to short. I always wanted dreads as part of way to show my musical and spiritual belief to the world. when I finally came to Nelas Nu hair she was the only person that could dread my hair and actually lock it up. My hair is very straight so this was not easy to do. As a matter of fact, I don't thing anyone else could do it as well as Enola does.. I am more then grateful for her, she deservs more then money could repay. So if you need someone who can lock up any kind of hair you need to call and make an appointment with Nelas Nu hair!

Me and my daughter have been here to get braids and twists. I've had tree braids and kinky twists done and my daughter had a mohawk which she loved!! Every time I get my hair done at Nela's I always get so many compliments! She doesn't braid too tight and doesn't take a long time like other salons. She also has really good prices!
