Highly recommend! Read a lot of great reviews about this place and about the owner Rod. So I had to go in and get a haircut myself. I am very impressed with the work he does. 10/10

It’s been about three weeks since I last got my haircut from Jolan at Mysterioux, and I couldn’t be more impressed. His attention to detail is amazing, and he’s very meticulous about his work. I walked in with about 6 inches of hair, the longest it’s ever been, and I had little to no direction with what I wanted. I told him I was familiar with fades, but he suggested going with a taper instead, which I’m incredibly happy that I went with. The past three weeks are the best my hairs ever been, and I owe it to Jolan’s knowledge about hair care. I can rest assured knowing that I have a reliable barber in SJ now.

I want to start by saying, the man Rod T. never fails to give me great cuts. I started going to him for a few months now and i don't really see myself having anyone else cut my hair but him. A great thing i can appreciate about Rod is he is very passionate, dedicated and caring. When it comes to his clients and business. After going to Rod for his amazing hair cuts, i think its really cool how this man can remember what we spoke about my last visit. He really listens and just invests his time to his business and clients. That is what makes him stand out. I wish nothing but great success for his business and I will be returning to Mysterieux as always. I have uploaded a photo along with this review showing a bit of my hair cut and yes the shirt. The shirt is designed by Mysterieux, Rods Business and holy man; The quality of the shirt and the design is by far the best shirt I have worn. Fits to Size. Love the quality. Great shirt. I highly recommend people to come check out this business. Everyone is friendly and just a great vibe.

Just moved back to the area and found this place, booked with Rod for a cut and beard trim. I chose Mystérieux because of the high ratings and was pleasantly surprised the rating was spot on! Rod is AWSOME at his craft and was able to work with my thinning hair and recommend a cut that is flattering and versatile. His beard trimming is excellent and his conversation is friendly, interesting and overall a cool chill vibe. I’ve found my place! Go see Rod you will be super happy with his work.

Rod is immensely talented and detail oriented. I gave him somewhat of what I call a "challenge" in the sense of that I don't like using hair products, prefer keeping it natural, and by the end of my cut Im genuinely blown away with how my hair looked from what I came in with (very entangled almost bushy 'long' men's hair) to coming out refined, polished, and proudly 'natural', as opposed to styling with gel for example. I have nothing but the highest praises for Rod's abilities, professionalism, and a warm smile throughout our conversations while getting my haircut. Alright hopefully I've written a "human enough" review for would be readers of my particular review here to not doubt if this was spat out by ChatGPT (AI generated) LOL. Go try Rod for yourself, I only considered checking this place out myself after getting a good word from a friend of mine.

Brandon helped me out in a pinch when I needed a last minute haircut for a friend’s wedding. I was from out of town and didn’t have an appointment, but he was super nice about it, fit me in, and gave me a fantastic cut. I’m super grateful, but my only problem now is trying to find someone at home who can give me a haircut just as good as he did. Thanks Brandon!

I have been a huge fan of Rod and Mysterieux for years. With the new downtown shop open, I'm going to Ryan for regular cleanups and fades, and he is fantastic. He is an experienced barber, up on the latest trends and products, and will never steer you wrong! Go for the Hot Boy Special!

Mystérieux Brand has treated me well since they opened last year. I love how modern and minimalist the shop is. Plus, it’s conveniently located in San Pedro Square and next to the parking garage which is free for 90min. Brandon has been the best barber I’ve had in the bay so far. He has a very close attention to detail, takes his time, and accepts suggestions/requests well. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Brand!

Ryan has been my barber for over 7 years. His skill, patience and flexibility has kept me following him. He’s a perfectionist and takes the time to make my hair and beard look great! The shop is modern, new, and spacious I would highly recommend this shop and give Ryan a shot!

Rod gave me an amazing fade and asked me exactly what I wanted from the start. He is very skilled and doesn’t rush the process. He is very knowledgeable in general and is an authentic person. We had a great conversation during my haircut. It was such a great experience, he is very uplifting and an inspiration. I will definitely be going back.

Rod is a solid barber. If you want a proper fade he is the guy to go to. I have tried many babers in San Jose and will be returning to Mystérieux.
