If I could rate this salon, it would be 100/10. Mya was able to squeeze me in her schedule at short notice and she explained thoroughly about the process of coloring hair, hair products and other services. She very knowledgeable about hair and super sweet! I definitely recommend going to her!

I booked an appointment with Mya because I was in desperate need of a cut and style for my natural 4b, low-porosity hair—and she exceeded every expectation! I sent her a few inspiration photos, and she immediately understood my vision, which made me feel confident and excited for the appointment. I thought I needed a ‘curly cut,’ but what I really needed was a stylist with expertise in cutting curly hair. Mya delivered beautifully, shaping my hair exactly the way I wanted. She was not only incredibly skilled but also sweet and personable, making me feel completely at ease throughout the entire service. On top of that, she shared valuable tips for caring for my hair at home, and I left with my hair feeling the softest and healthiest it’s been in years. Mya has a true gift, and I’m thrilled to say she’s earned a lifelong client in me!

Mya is amazing! Not only is she an excellent stylist, but she is a phenomenal person! I have been going to her for myself and my family for years! She does amazing color! I went from blonde to Auburn red and I love it!!

Mya is a bowl of awesome sauce! She helped me figure out a cute short cut that looks fabulous and keeps my migraines at bay. She has worked on my hair for 5 years and I pretty much refuse to see anyone else.

Mya is amazing!! I have been bringing my 5 year old daughter to her for a few years now. She does a great job and is so sweet and patient with my daughter. I highly recommend her. Services included curly kids hair cuts, box braid with and without extensions.

Can I start by saying how IMMEDIATELY. I knew wanted Mya to be my hair stylist. As I became a new resident of Grand Rapids last year early spring. But was so anxious to get into a new chair because of too many past instances. Where I’ve had hair styles and treatments that didn’t work best for my hair type. I did a lot research of stylists in the area that provided curly hair care, and curly cuts in particular. Her Instagram spoke the most to me. Months later I decided to just go for it. To book an appointment for a consult and a curly cut. Right into the service Mya made me feel like I belonged in her chair. As she began to work her first round of magic on my disheveled, unkempt & dry split ends. We came up with a plan to get my hair back into a healthy state of being that was manageable and beautifully cut just for me with each appointment. Since then she has transformed me the into red head of my dreams. I fully trust her creative approach and deliverance to take whatever hair inspo I gather. By giving her all the room to make a customized look with it upon my hair. I look forward to every appointment because not only does she provide amazing service, she has a very warm and inviting aura that makes hair days some of the best days! yea never again . 400 dollars 🤣🤣. I worked for that money and was lied to about spending only 200! I don’t know if it’s just because I’m a kid or what but even 200 is a lot . I had to pay 15 dollars for a consultation after that fact when her website said FREE … will never be back there . 😘

I wanted a balayage with a fun color and Mya did an amazing job helping me achieve that. I have very dark brown hair so we had to do multiple sessions so I wouldn’t damage my hair. It last a long time afterwords and we did fun colors like hot pink and purple after it was blonde! Then we incorporated it until it grew all out. I was very happy getting my hair color with her. Would love to do it again.

I’ve been taking my daughter to Mya for 5+ years. She’s super knowledgeable and always carefully explains the best ways to care for my daughters curls and coils. Mya is a very experienced and professional hair stylist! I have thick natural 4c hair that hasn’t been trimmed in years. I got a wash and deep conditioning treatment and a blow dry. I didn’t experience any pain whatsoever. My hair looked so healthy without getting too much taken off. I was very comfortable the entire time. I will definitely be returning here. If I could give -0 stars I would! Thank you so so much for the service and hair tips!

Mya is amazing. I’ve been going to Mya for many years and I trust her implicitly with my hair. We’ve colored it just about every color you can think of: red, purple, blue, pink, brunette, mocha violet, platinum. You name it, we’ve probably done it and it looks great every time! We’ve even permed it and you would believe the number of people who ask if my curls are natural. Oh, and she makes my eyebrows look amazing every time I see her. Mya also does my three girls hair too. We all LOVE her ❤️.

Mya provided very professional services including what I have a hard time finding with other hairstylist services: she listened to what I needed. I have coarse Asian hair which can be hard to work with, yet the results she gave were wonderful! She goes way beyond simply, "knowing her stuff". Her salon also holds a warmth to it; felt very much at ease. I highly recommend her services.
