I haven't get my hair done ever since Covid started, it was a big mess and I just want to get a new color and fix it up a little bit. She did the haircut exactly how I wanted, she is so amazing with her skills on coloring and recommend me the color that she thinks looks the best. I have no words, she is too great. She will be my hairstylist from now on. 100000000% recommend!!

Michelle is amazing and I love my hair!!! I came in for a haircut and a “mini” balayage, since I was looking for something subtle but dimensional. She made my hair look exactly how I wanted it, and taught me how to style it to best show off the balayage. She is friendly and professional, and I will definitely be returning. If you’re thinking about booking with Michelle, just do it!

Michelle is great! She listens to what you want and makes suggestions based on her expertise and what will be most flattering for you and your hair type. She's also very accommodating. I missed an exit coming off the highway and was 20 minutes late to my appointment but she still kept my appointment!

I’ve been going to Michelle for the past few years, and I couldn’t recommend her enough! She really listens to what you want and helps achieve your desired results. She’s well-informed and very experienced in color theory and what she does. I’m pretty picky when it comes to my hair- it’s hard to find someone who really knows how to color natural black hair into a blended, appealing light-brown to blonde. But Michelle nails it every time. Even after moving out of state, I still wait until I’m back in Maryland to book my hair appointments with her, she’s the only one I trust with my hair! I would highly recommend Michelle to all my friends and family.

Michelle was AMAZING <3! This was my first time ever bleaching/coloring my hair and Michelle perfectly executed the vision I wanted. She’s a very down to earth, chill, and talented person and I would recommend anyone to come to her! I was extremely nervous about doing such an extreme change to my hair (virgin dark brown asian hair to ginger copper) but she guided me through the hair dying process, the expectations, and gave recommendations that made the experience very positive for me :). My hair looks and feels incredible and I 100% recommend Michelle!

Michelle took me in at a few days notice. I needed a cut and color baaaddd. I haven't had any major change since before the pandemic in 2019, so my hair was virgin af. I wanted my balayage to be subtle since my hair is very dark. I wanted to take small steps toward going lighter. I thought this was a boring task to Michelle, but she was just as excited about my hair change as I was. I love my refresh and update in cut and color so much. She intends for the cut and color to grow out beautifully too, so if you don't go back every few months, that's ok (I'm very guilty of this). Michelle is very easy going, great to take to (if that's your thing), and you can tell she loves and has fun with her skills. Parking is very easy and she's one of many beauty vendors/businesses in the building. Her studio was clean and tidy. I would definitely go back to her to support her talents!

After trying several top salons in MoCo/MD and leaving disappointed each time, I was introduced to Michelle and her masterful, goddess-like skills. My friend, who has amazing hair and color done by Michelle, told me about Michelle about 1.5 yr ago. I haven’t been to another stylist since. Michelle is extremely patient and meticulous; we met via FaceTime for a consultation before our first appt. She is so nice and straightforward yet always up for a good challenge. I could just send her instagram pics of hair colors/styles I like and then she, being the master of her art - bam, gets me exactly what I have envisioned or even better. She’s not frugal with her time at all; if I have questions, I could just message her and she gets back to me with hot tips. Out of prudence, I don’t believe I’ve ever written a post for a hairstylist before. Yet, I wholeheartedly trust and appreciate Michelle, and I hope you’ll find her as wonderful as I have.

Been going to Michelle for over a decade now and haven't had a single bad haircut. Although her specialty is with coloring, she's awesome at men's cuts too. So consistent, takes her time, and just plain and simple knows what she's doing. On top of being an expert in her craft, she's just a really good, solid human being. So stop scrolling -- this is the review you've been looking for. Go to her and you won't be disappointed. Guaranteed.

I have been going to Michelle for my haircuts and color for over 15+ years and have followed her to multiple locations. She’s always motivated to learn new techniques and her experience shows! I never know what to do with my hair, but she guides me with professionalism and always gives me great recommendations for my current lifestyle. She’s honest about what styles/colors would work for my facial structure/skin tone. She helps extend my color as long as possible which is a bonus for a working mom. 10/10 recommend

I moved to the Baltimore area 2 years ago and immediately started looking for a barber/stylist to take care of my hair. As an asian male, one can understand how difficult it is to find someone that shows enough care to learn how to cut your specific hair shape and pattern. I was recommended to Michelle by a friend and haven’t look back since! Michelle is so professional and personable- from my haircuts to my perms, she has always taken the time to listen to my requests (and look at all my saved pictures of inspiration haha), offering suggestions and reasoning on what can work and how she can best adapt it to my head. She’s very warm and friendly, open to talking or letting you relax as she does her work. The relationship was built so quickly out the door, as she would remember parts of my life and ask me for updates when Id come back a month later. Every time I come feels like a catch up with a friend! It makes it all the more easy to communicate to one another on how to go about the services and how I want my hair done, which makes it so hard for me to trust anyone else with my hair because of the familiarity she has built around it! Her space in the Salon is enclosed and private as well, creating a relaxed environment to enjoy pampering yourself in without the usual bustle of a open floor salon to deal with. I couldnt recommend Michelle more!

She is so attentive and patient in explaining the entire coloring process, so you know what to expect. Her studio is clean, organized, and welcoming. Michelle at Mrocolour is my first new stylist in over 30 years, and I could not be happier! She listens to what you want and offers great advice. I have short curly/wavy hair that has a mind of its own, but the first cut Michelle gave me looked great for the full 5 weeks between cuts and is easy to care for. Both Michelle and her new location with a private Sola Salon are warm and welcoming. So glad a friend recommended her!

Michelle is talented and knows what to do with Asian hair, especially when it comes to balayages/coloring. I found Michelle when she was at her previous location and I followed her to the current location. I have been a returning client for the last 1.5 years since I've moved to Maryland. 6+ hair appointments, to include hair toning, balayages, hair treatments, and hair cuts/trims. Her prices are reasonable as you pay for quality of service!

When I moved to Maryland five years ago, I had to look for a new hair stylist and when you’re a “blonde” Asian, you can’t just go to anyone. I had to do my research and came upon Michelle. She understands Asian hair and knows what formulas to use so it doesn’t look brassy. I also have long layered hair and people always think I have extensions on because it’s so difficult to keep your hair blonde AND long. She keeps my hair healthy (no breakage) and shiny. For context, I’ve had my hair this color consistently for years! I’m NOT a seasonal blonde. It’s easy to book an appointment and I feel super comfortable with her. I also like that even though she’s been doing hair for many years, she travels to New York and other states to attend classes and seminars to grow her knowledge on the newest hair techniques and trends. That’s probably why she’s such a talented colorist! I don’t trust my hair with anyone else!
