I went here for my first time because I needed a haircut that day, and they had availability. Nancy took time to really understand and perfect the unconventional haircut, and bangs I wanted. She corrected my existing bangs which were too thin, and trimmed my ends. It’s also a full beauty bar, which I will try in the future. Very nice staff, and reasonable prices compared to nearby towns salons.

Efficient and excellent root touch up. But shampoo did not smell as amazing as last time and they have stuff to wash your hair that smells unbelievable! The eyebrows came out too light and I had to schedule within 24 hours to do a touch up with their regular dye products instead of their eyebrows dye products. RECOMMENDATION: BE CAREFUL HOW YOU WANT YOUR EYEBROWS COLORED AND MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR GOLDWELL DYE OR BLEACH IF YOU WANT A CERTAIN COLOR IN PARTICULAR!!! Otherwise, Danielle is excellent and very efficient and she even recommended haircut and blowout when she was between clients!

Best spot for blow dry, cuts, glitter hair, literally everything! Ryve is especially awesome at bouncy blow dries and my daughters love the fairy hair and kid’s cuts.

Shelly is the absolute best!! She did a balayage on my naturally dirty blonde hair and it turned out AMAZING! definitely recommend her if you are a blonde!! Coming back for my second balayage 8 months later and it grew out perfectly! no need for touchups!

This review is long overdue. I want to share the wonderful experience I had at Moxie New Providence on my first visit there in September of 2024. I had recently moved to NJ and hadn't found a hairdresser that I was happy with until I was referred to Shelly at Moxie. I hadn't had my hair colored professionally in close to year due to our recent move and health issues and was feeling lousy about myself. The minute I walked into Moxie Salon I knew I was in the right place. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. The decor was stylish and upbeat and I saw many other happy Moxie customers getting beautified by the talented stylists. My hair was at least 3 bad colors ( gray, box dye blonde, brown and I'm sure some other brassy colors). Shelly was a sweetheart and took the time to listen to what I wanted my hair to look like and put me at ease immediately. She absolutely exceeded my expectations. She's a true hair artist. A master colorist and stylist plus a great conversationalist. I just went back today to have my roots touched up and another haircut and was thrilled with the outcome again. I'm going to share before and after pictures of the transformation that Shelly did to my hair in September when it looked it's worst. She took my hair from gray and three other colors to a gorgeous base color and then did highlights in the most beautiful shade of blonde I've ever had. She gave me a beautiful haircut as well on both my visits. I highly recommend Moxie salon and my girl Shelly although everyone around her was also working magic on other people's hair. This is a great hair salon. Highly recommended by me.

Shelly has done my color, haircut and Brazilian blowout. She’s the only one I would trust with my hair! Shelly doesn't only make your hair look beautiful, but she cares about the health of your hair. The owner Kelly is always so friendly and always going out of her way to make sure my experience at moxie is the best.

Wow — I’ve been going to moxie for blowouts and root touch up for a while but tried highlights with Shelly and she wa amazing!! She nailed it and was attentive about making me happy. Think highlights for dark hair can be difficult to get right and not look brassy. Love her aura and her service and will be back again

I started going to Moxie in NP about 5 months ago and I love it! I have the blowout membership there and always get compliments on my hair. Shelly is the best! She is amazing at cuts, blowouts, color and more. She recently did a Brazilian hair treatment on my hair leaving it beautiful, smooth, and healthy. Highly recommend!!!

I’ve now been to Moxie in New Providence twice and had a fantastic experience both times! My blow out and style with Melissa was amazing and lasted many days. More recently I got a cut and blowout with Shirley and I was very happy. Both stylists were friendly, listened to what I was hoping for, and I appreciated how efficient the service was being a busy mom. I highly recommend this location.

Shelly and the staff at Moxie NP are amazing!! My hair was badly damaged by another salon so I did a Brazilian keratin straightening blowout at Moxie NP and the results were awesome and instantaneous! Smooth, hydrated, healthy looking hair with no frizz and super easy to manage. I’ve changed Salons and Shelly is a magician when it comes to color! Gives great advice and always prioritizes your hair health and making sure you walk out happy! PS. My natural hair color is dark brown!!

I had my hair and make-up done by Chloe and both were absolutely flawless! She executed quickly and because she’s a perfectionist, not a single hair or eyelash was out of place. Not to mention, both lasted me from the afternoon through the late evening. I cannot recommend Chloe enough! Can’t wait to come back — thank you, Chloe!

Gwen is the best! My hard gel nails have never looked better. Gwen patiently inspects each nail to make sure each fill is even and smooth. There is one nail station so the experience is relaxing and personalized. I would highly recommend Gwen for your next fill!

I have been going to Moxie in New Providence for three months. I have had an Express Keratin and I have gel nails. I have had both done by Gwen. She does a great job, takes her time and is super nice and friendly. My hair has stayed frizz free and my nails look great. Make an appointment with Gwen, you won’t be disappointed!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting your establishment with my daughter to celebrate her 10th birthday, and I must say, it was truly an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and offered water and coffee, which was a thoughtful touch that added to the overall exceptional customer service we received. The staff, especially the girls who attended to us, were phenomenal and provided outstanding service throughout our visit. The facility was immaculately clean, and everything was just perfect from start to finish. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her nail service, which included gel color options, as well as a makeup session. One of the highlights for me was when we both had our hair braided together, creating a special bonding moment that we will cherish. I cannot thank you enough for the incredible service we received during our visit. We left feeling pampered and rejuvenated, and I can confidently say that we will definitely be returning in the future.
