Only place in LA I'll go for a haircut! Before coming here, I had tried several different salons and hadn't found a place I loved. Sahra is incredibly talented and kind, and I always leave with a haircut I love.

I started going to Sahra my sophomore year of college, and I still get my haircut by her 5 years later. We never fail to have a good laugh and I look forward to my time with her at Mon Petit. She always cuts my hair to my liking and ensures that she gets it exactly right. Sahra is the absolute best and I could not imagine getting my hair cut by anyone else.

I've been coming here for three years since I move to LA. Sahra is super nice and efficient! No better place than this in west LA region. Recommend to every one. There is no way to get better hair cut at such an affordable price!!

One of the kindest people I have ever met! She is highly skilled as well and knows exactly what she’s doing. She cut off the perfect amount of hair for me to where it looked healthy again but was still long. I don’t think I’ve been as happy with a hair cut as I have with this one in the last 3 years. I had an appointment for a Monday mid-day and I was in and out in around 30 minutes. Highly, highly recommend!

A no frills and efficient place to get your haircut! Sahra is such a sweet, energetic woman that you can tell works incredibly hard and loves what she does. Don’t expect a luxury experience, but if you need a haircut for $20 cash, this is your place.

There is nowhere else I'd rather get my hair cut than Mom Petit. Sahra is always a pleasure to talk to and does my hair exactly how I want it. In a time of inflation and ridiculous prices everywhere, what she charges is far more fair than anywhere else. I highly, highly recommend you book an appointment with her.

I've been coming here for a few years now. The owner Sahra is incredibly skilled and takes genuine pride in her work. Unlike other salons that rush you through, she takes her time to understand exactly what you want and delivers perfect results every time. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, with great conversation throughout. Highly recommend!

BEWARE: Very disrespectful and rude business owner! I call and tried to ask a few questions and she hang up on me before I finished my first question. Definitely not a recommended place and there are many other salons with very good customer service.

Sara is the best in LA! Honestly, she is a fabulous woman and she has amazing work ethic. She doesn't charge much because she loves what she does and believes everyone deserves a great haircut. Always great conversation too. Tell her exactly what you want and she can make it happen! I love her and have recommended her to all of my family and friends. Can't beat it!

Mon Petit is a hidden gem! In one of the most pretentious areas of LA, the owner/operator, Sahra, is honest, down to earth, and friendly, which, sadly, is much too rare these days. The haircut was only $20 but she refused to accept my tip and sent me on my way with a warm hug instead. As the other reviews have noted, if you are looking for the luxury treatment with shampoo, condition, and style, go somewhere else and pay $300. But if you just want a good cut for a reasonable price with no frills, come here. I used to go to SuperCuts but I'm trying to avoid patronizing big corporate chains because they don't invest into our communities and very little of the price goes to the workers. So glad I found this cute locally-owned salon and sweet hairstylist. I'll definitely be coming back!

Sahara cut my hair. It was quick and easy and she is really enjoyable to be around. Very affordable for a great cut - cash only! I will not be going anywhere else to get my haircut from now on.

Horrible, nasty rude lady, told me to come in at 12:00 I come here and she is trying to kick me out, telling me someone else called and took my spot. Trying to tell me to come at 12:30. Called me multiple disgusting names.

I had a disappointing experience at the salon. From the outset, the stylist was quite rude. When I asked about my haircut, her response was curt: "Just tell me how short you want it, or go somewhere else." After she finished, I politely requested a slight adjustment to the front. Instead of accommodating my request, she became offended, asked me to leave, and even said 'I don't want your money' Despite feeling disrespected, I left the money as a gesture of acknowledgment for her work. However, I found her behavior towards me and my community highly disrespectful. It was a disappointing experience as a customer.

My daughter used to get her haircut here when she was attending UCLA. I loved the way her haircuts would turn out! One day we were in the area and I really needed a cut. We called to see if she had an opening and we got one before closing. I loved the way she cut and styled my hair so effortlessly! Having been to many hair salons in my life, expensive and fancy ones, I can tell she is very experienced! My daughter has straight hair and I have very curly hair. She definitely has the talent to work with both types of hair. Besides her experience and talents, she is very welcoming, sweet, and delightful! Been going back even though it’s way out of my way. 😊

Asked for an inch to an inch and a half cut and she chopped off at least 3 inches without my consent. What was once a layered cut that went a bit past my shoulders is now even length in both the front and back (which feels like something she should've mentioned she would be doing) and it doesn't even reach my chin. While I should've been more specific about the length I wanted it at (was aiming for mid-neck), she didn't ask me once during the process about whether the length was fine for me to clarify this. By the time I realized how short it was at the end of the session, I couldn't do anything about it. Wouldn't have as much of a problem with just dealing with it if I wasn't a student graduating since I was planning on getting my grad photos done with my trimmed hair. Now I'm stuck taking the last timeslot possible in the hopes that it'll have grown out enough in the next 8 weeks to look somewhat presentable. She was nice but I cannot recommend her services in good faith when looking at myself in the mirror genuinely makes me want to cry

I discovered this quaint salon today in need of a quick trim and for inexpensive cost. I usually go to salons that cost $90+ for a premium and complex haircuts like Object Salon or Taka Hair studios but if you're expecting Mon Petit to deliver that same experience- I say to look somewhere else. Instead, this hidden gem is so special to Westwood locals as it offers basic haircuts and services. My trim was $20. The owner was very sweet and delivered to my expectations.
