Talia did my nails and was great! I had my two kids with me and the staff went above and beyond to entertain and give them special treats while there. They were wonderful!

I cannot say enough great things about Alyssa at Mid City Hair Salon! I recently took my 6-year-old daughter for her first “real” mani/pedi, and we left absolutely thrilled. From the moment we walked in, Alyssa made my daughter feel like a princess. She was so patient and kind, which put my daughter at ease immediately. Alyssa went above and beyond with special touches, like diamond hair clips and sparkly “princess dust” that made the whole experience magical. My daughter was initially nervous about letting anyone besides me trim her hair or do her nails, but Alyssa’s gentle approach won her over completely. By the end of our visit, my daughter was already asking when we could come back, but only to see Alyssa! If you’re looking for someone who is wonderful with children and makes every little girl feel special, Alyssa is the one. We will definitely be returning!

when I called to make an appointment they were very rude. Going into the salon the staff was unfriendly, a one inch trim for a dry cut was $55 and took no more than five minutes. She was very aggressive when brushing my hair. Just a very meh experience. Won’t be going back.

All I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW!! I wish I had the ability to truly express how amazing my experience here is was. I came in for a color correction after two botched dye jobs and I didn’t know what could be done with my hair to fix it. Alyssa was amazing, she listened to exactly what my hair goals were and carefully crafted a plan to fix all the previous bad color. She was so meticulous with fixing every single strand of hair. I was really disheartened with how bad my hair had gotten but this totally turned it around 🤍🤍 my end results are amazing, and I had a blast chatting with her, she’s also very kind and hilarious! I cannot recommend this salon enough!

When I first went to Mid City Salon a few years ago, I entered as a complete stranger and left feeling like I had just made wonderful friends. And that is still very true. :) Alyssa has been taking care of my hair throughout these years. She is very professional, kind, friendly, and we have the best conversations every time I go there. She takes the time to listen to what I want and makes sure I get my hair the way I want, from highlighting it as light as possible to making it very dark. Additionally, she cuts and styles my hair exactly the way I want. :) The salon is very clean, organized, and welcoming, with a fun atmosphere, and it is very well located. They use high-quality products. Alyssa, Teresa, and all the staff are amazing. They offer many different types of services, and I couldn't be happier with my experiences there. If you're looking for a salon that makes you feel like family while providing top-notch service, I highly recommend Mid City Salon.

I travel most weeks to various states for work and was in desperate need of a reputable and qualified stylist to install new extensions. Alyssa accommodated me and I could not ask for a better experience. She was very thorough, hospitable and had attention to detail that does not go unnoticed. I am so glad our paths crossed as I will continue to use her for future installs and any other hair care.

I went to get my hair styled here for graduation pictures and it was absolutely atrocious. I called ahead of time and told the woman that I have fine hair that does not curl well. When I walked in, she thanked me for letting her know but proceeded to ignore my comment because she started to curl my hair without preparing it with anything. The curls all fell out when she was doing it and had asked another woman there to do it because she couldn’t do it. My hair was not curled well and I was extremely dissatisfied. I spent nearly 2+ hours there and $75 down the drain. Go here if you want to waste your money and time with hair stylists that don’t listen to your requests or do your hair properly.

The worst manicure I've ever had in my life was at Mid City Salon. This was my second time visiting. The first time, I thought I received bad service because it was busy and I hadn't made an appointment. However, this second time, the salon was completely empty; I was the only one there. The lady at the reception was also the one who did my nails both times. She was rude and looked annoyed from the beginning to the end. I don't think she knew what she was doing with gel or any type of service. Now, not even two days later, my nails are already chipped. Usually, gel lasts me at least two weeks. There won't be a third visit or any visit to this place. Please don't waste your time or money here; go to any other nail salon in Salt Lake.

This place is amazing! I get my hair done by Riley and she is WONDERFUL. The salon does other things, like eyebrows, pedicures, manicures, all kinds of stuff! The product they use when washing my hair is honestly heavenly! Makes it feel so soft and bouncy.

The worst haircut I’ve ever had. Asked the stylist to cut dead ends and layer my hair. I had an inch to an inch and a half of dead ends. She cut 1/2 inch off and only layered a few sections. Nothing in the front. Didn’t realize it until I got home and combed it out. Will not be going back.

I got a gel manicure from Josie and could not be more thrilled! I was nervous going in because I bite my nails very very short and am pretty ashamed of them, but she was so kind and encouraging and helpful. I'm way more excited to try to grow them out now! Would highly recommend to anyone.
