I was refused service by a hairdresser because I am a male. Background: I have shoulder length hair. I wanted to specifically go to a salon rather than a barber, because I felt they were better equipped to handle my hair/style. I chose this salon based on reviews. I was looking to get a small trim to tidy it up, nothing crazy. I booked an appointment for two weeks out, for a cost of $72. Three hours before my appointment I received a call from the salon, it seemed to be from the receptionist. I answered and she was immediately surprised to hear my male voice. She put me on a brief hold, and then proceeded to tell me that the hair stylist I had booked doesn’t cut men’s hair. I explained that I don’t have typical men’s hair, that I had longer hair, and was lookin for a trim. She proceeded to tell me the the hairstylist doesn’t cut men’s hair, and canceled my appointment. I was furious. She did offer to find another hairdresser that did cut men’s hair, but I opted to take my services elsewhere.

I went to this salon and was lured by my beautician Hillary to talk about my psychic/astrology business. The stylist asked me to tell her all about her astrology chart. Left my business card and a hefty tip and was gone. 3 weeks later I go to my church and was met by what felt like a Salem Witch Trial style inquisition because the salon called my church and gave them my business card. If you like your hair salon to shame you in front of your peers go here. At the very least keep your business private!

MEDIOCRE AT BEST. Watch out, they will charge you $140. if you miss your appointment. No consideration for the customer or medical issues, or respect. It felt like fraud. Using my credit card whenever they want WITHOUT CONSULTING ME.

It’s weird to put a bad review when I love my haircut but I will never go back! I had to most painful haircut of my life and I am not tender headed. My hair was pulled hard the entire time, comb scraping the skin on my head, fingers hitting my face and eyes, blow dryer hit my forehead. Unreal. The stylist didn’t ask how I wanted my hair styled, just did it. Didn’t speak the entire cut. I told her during that it hurt and she would say “sorry” and keep doing it. When I first sat in the chair she was violently combing and ripping my hair out even when I said “please stop, I feel like you’re pulling really hard.” She just keep doing it. At checkout, no one asked how the service was or if I wanted another appointment, just checked me out and said by. An unreal experience.

Sevannah is AMAZING! I’m mid-40’s with naturally curly hair brunette and I love how each visit we have fun trying new ways to keep me feeling young and beautiful! Recently we went blond! It was a lot of fun to see her talent for blonds, it was awesome. She also has balayaged my 14 year old daughter who has A LOT OF HAIR and it’s gorgeous. Lastly, my son, he has the biggest and best boy hair ever and she has been wonderful with him. The best part is Sevannah is patient, kind, fun, and relaxing to be around while she works her magic. Everyone is so nice at MG. Check her out!

i will not come back to this salon again. taylor cut my hair, no blow-dry guess due to virus. when i got home and did my blow-dry, i see some hair sticking out/unevenly cut. i texted her to fix it but she made excuses. very rude

I adore this place. I had a horrible experience at a chain and ended up with a wretchedly crooked cut even worse my hair is fine straight and long. I cried like a baby. A friend recommended this place. I met one of the most kind funny and talented people here. She has been my stylist ever since. I love my hair now. It is healthy long shiny and beautifully cut and she is the reason. The recommendation for this salon is one of the best things I have ever gotten.

It’s my favorite when I get to go this salon and get myself pampered by amazing people. The entire staff is so kind, friendly, and helpful. Jordan has been doing my hair for years and I always leave Michael Grace feeling fantastic. Awesome environment, welcoming peeps, and great service. And who can complain about mimosas right?
