My son gets his haircuts here with Sara. He’s a teenager and particular about his haircuts (like most teenage boy, I suppose). And he absolutely LOVES Sara. The location is out of our way, but we come here for the great service and great haircuts!!

Aubrie provided a very good mid skin fade, and had great attention to detail even though my hair was overgrown. Highly recommend her for a modern fade!

aubrie did an amazing job with cutting my hair, and at a moments notice as well, easily the best harcutting barbershop experience i’ve had since the start of the pandemic in 2020. she was very patient and understanding, and ensured that throughout the process that it was exactly as i wanted it. the bourbon pour, hot towel, scalp wash, and neck message that came with the service was the icing and cherry on the cake!

If I could leave 6 stars I would, I have been going to Darvin for around a year now and by far the BEST haircut/customer service I have ever received for a haircut. I recommend matador but Darvin in particular to anyone who needs a new haircut or new style. PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE.

Always a great experience. Briz is a true master of her craft. I have never left disappointed. The hostesses are always making sure you are comfortable and if you need a beverage, alcohol or non-alcoholic, they got you. I will say their selection of booze is mid to bottom self but that's not why I go there.

The entire staff was very professional and friendly. Raquel was busy greeting old and new customers making them feel very welcomed. Briz is an absolutely fantastic hair stylist/barber. She is so detailed in her hair cutting, ensuring you get the best haircut possible. All in all, the Matador experience in Helotes is fantastic, thanks to Briz, Raquel, and the front desk lady (who is so very nice and friendly). Well done and please keep it up!

Ask for Briz. She is an expert at her craft. The cost can be a bit much, but having a person you trust to do a good job is worth the price. I've been coming here about 2 years now and am very pleased with the end result every time. At times I have to wait 10 to 15 minutes past my appointment time to sit in the seat as they can get backed up which is disappointing. Fortunately the beverages offered by the front staff can help make this wait a bit easier to manage.

Totally misleading ..services were mentioned as neck and shoulder massage included but the barber didnt perform it.Didnt want to argue there..just felt like a overpriced haircut and disappointing

Having been a loyal customer for years at Matador's Men's Grooming, it's unfortunate, but I find myself compelled to leave this 1-star review. Over the last year, the cost of a haircut has escalated from $35 to $45, and now, to an unjustifiable $48. To make matters worse, I've recently learned that the owner deducts a portion from the hairstylists' tips. This practice not only questions the integrity of the business but also diminishes the value of the hard work of the staff. The essence of a good hairstyling experience lies in both the service received and the support shown to those providing it. Unfortunately, Matador's seems to have lost sight of this. It's disheartening to witness and, as a result, I feel compelled to take my business elsewhere. It's a tough decision, but I believe in supporting establishments that value fairness and transparency.
