As a business person Martha is horrible! Thankfully never let her do my hair but I rented the small shack attached to the business for a few months. She was completely deceitful and un cooperative. Her associate in shop is very unprofessional and nosy, mail was either opened or just not given to me. her husband was kind but she is sneaky and took advantage of my roommate and I Also hires and takes advantage of illegals for cheap labor

Martha, the owner, took her time and gave me the cut I wanted. She also recommended and sold me products for my sensitive scalp at a better price than Amazon offers.

I went in with a very specific vision of how I wanted my highlights to look, and an example of how I really did not want them to look. I asked the lady from the start how much it would be total for the highlights and the hair cut, and she gave me a price. I had to wait over 30 minutes even though I had set an appointment, because she kept putting people in front of me since "mine would take longer than theirs". When she finally got to my hair, she worked pretty fast, and sat me under the dryer, and then just forgot me in the back. She left me there for 45 minutes without once coming to check on how my hair was processing, and to make sure the condition of it was ok. When she finally came back she checked it, and I could tell she tensed up. She turned off the dryer, and then just walked away without saying anything. Leaving me with the bleach in my hair for another 30 minutes. I was still hopeful thinking no one would blatantly leave me there knowing my hair was frying. I mean she is supped to be a professional, and should know when it's time to stop whatever else she's doing and wash out my hair. When she finally came to wash it out, she took me to the sink, and kept saying "Oh you must straighten your hair a lot" to which I kept saying "if once a month is a lot then, yes" She kept patting my hair, which I thought was weird because normally they scrub out the bleach. She walked away looking worried, and I reached up to touch my hair, and a HUGE clump of what I can't even call hair anymore just slid off my scalp and into my hand. I couldn't believe it. I kept touching different parts, and all I could feel was goo falling away. Long story short, she dried my hair, and as the hairdryer was going over my hair, I could literally see a cloud of hair flying all over me, so I asked her to stop because a lot of my hair was falling off, and she kept saying it's because you straighten your hair too much. Absolutely ridiculous. My hair was so shiny and soft going in, and I left with botched hair, that feels like straw, and is falling off at just the touch of my hand. I'm terrified of even getting it wet, because it turns into that gooey mushy mess. I just wanted to pay so I could leave already. She ended up charging me almost $40 more than she originally quoted me. Honestly, she should have paid me. Absolutely never going back again, and you should really consider not going either, unless bald is the look you're going for.
