The manager Rose Robert’s is GROSSLY unprofessional. I got a two star massage by “Bin” once. I was not impressed. I asked for deep tissue and he performed his version of a deep tissue massage, which was more like a deep Thai massage. While I was interviewing for a massage therapist position at this location, I asked Rose to sign me up for a membership. She didn’t bother to go over any of the membership details or stipulations. Instead she had me sign a form while she was talking my ear off which prevented me from reading the fine print. Fast forward to January of 2025. I had a massage with Rick scheduled at 11:30 am. I woke up at 9 am sick with a fever and cough. I tried calling and they didn’t open up until 10 am. This made it impossible for me to call two hours in advance to cancel the massage. They ended up not charging me the cancellation fee and letting me keep my credit. Nice, right? NO. I called today to cancel my membership and schedule my last massage with Rick. Rose informed me that because I was cancelling she was using my credit for the last cancellation. Revoking what her front desk had originally done (letting me keep my credit because I was ill). What a scam artist. This location is CLEARLY struggling for business. STAY AWAY. There are plenty of other options in the city for massage.

I’ve been a member at this branch for over a year, but my recent experience was incredibly disappointing. After they moved to a new location, I followed the address listed on their website (150 Van Ness) only to find an apartment building with no signage. I wandered around in the cold and dark for 10 minutes, asking people for directions, but no one knew where they were. I tried calling the listed number, but since my appointment was at 8 PM, I got an automated message saying they were closed—likely outdated information. Eventually, after texting, someone called back to tell me the location was “around the corner,” which should have been clearly communicated on the website. When I finally arrived, I mentioned the issue at checkout and asked for a small courtesy, like free aromatherapy for the inconvenience, but the front desk staff was rude and dismissive, saying they couldn’t do anything. I hope I can still receive the courtesy I requested and that this message reaches the manager so they can address these issues and improve the experience for others.

This was my first experience with Massage Envy and I wish I had visited sooner. Ameerah and Barb were very knowledgeable about the body and attentive to my needs. They were able to help me understand their products and which ones would serve me better. I didn’t feel like they were just trying to sell me something just because they could based on me being new and unfamiliar with ME. I visited yesterday and I left feeling so refreshed and pampered. I had a great experience and I plan to join for the monthly plan based on their service. The front desk staff was patient and attentive as well and I look forward to seeing them all next month. I highly recommend this location of Massage Envy

Daryl from massage envy in SF is a 5* massage therapist with chiropractor knowledge of muscles and deep tissue massage. I was in #10 pain with tailbone and neck pain. He did an outstanding job to relieve my pain and I could enjoy my day. Super nice and professional!!!

I usually feel uneasy and tense when getting massages. Daryl made me feel so comfortable and relaxed during the massage. He really tunes into your body and gets the knots out. I felt 10 years younger after the massage. He got knots out I didn’t even know was there.

Darryl is the best! I have arthritis and fibromyalgia—hitting specific trigger points too hard in a massage in the past has left me feeling worse than when I went in, but Darryl strikes the right balance between medium pressure and Too Much Pressure. Love that he notices where my muscles are the most tense and gives me stretches and exercises I can use to help in between massages. I cannot recommend this location enough--everyone on staff is friendly and responsive.

I have been getting massages at Massage Envy for years, I have a standing appointment with Sappho every week. I highly recommend Sappho I’m always taken care of above and beyond the service I receive. Sappho customizes my service every week to fit my needs to where ever I need to have more attention. Sappho is aware of the style of massage and pressure I like and is very well educated on the body and its needs. I highly recommend Sappho 100% I always leave reenergized and feeling amazing.:)

I was visiting the area for work. I stopped in at Massage Nevy and was fortunate to get an appointment with Ajani. I have been getting massages regularly for over 35 years and he ranks right up there with the best. I highly recommend Massage Envy and Ajani. The whole experience was professional and restorative.

The Team at front reception are amazing, helpful! Darryl, who I see every 2 weeks for over a year is a thorough, professional and knowledgeable about anatomy
