I got charged $400 for an all over color and blow dry/cut. Beware! Edit to add after the reply: Why does it matter how long I took to write the review… I still went there, lol. After going to different salons I’ve never been charged more than $250 so I felt obliged to write one fyi. My hair was changed from blonde to brown, how does going to a solid brown equal “heavily highlighted”? Also, I was never told how much the price would be before she did the service and I was blown away when I got to the counter. I was overcharged, period.

My regular place suddenly closed and I did a bunch of internet research before settling on trying out Mason & Friends. Kate not only exceeded my expectations but gave me what was honestly one of the most enjoyable haircuts I've ever had. I can't say enough good things about Kate and the incredible vibe she radiates. Initially went in for a haircut and now I'm looking forward to some Full Highlights through Kate in the future!!!

3 of the most magnificent women work at this establishment- Pari, Greer, and Ellen. Pari has been cutting & styling my family’s hair for more than 20 years. She did my very first highlights, and she did my prom hairstyle- which she spent hours on and made me feel like Belle from Beauty & the Beast. She still cuts my father’s hair to this day & it always looks amazing. Greer started saving me in my early 20’s. I had been getting my hair bleached “blonde” by a friend in her basement- yes y’all NO toner 🤣 Greer brought my hair back to life with more natural looking color and trendy, stylish haircuts. She made me feel like me again. ELLEN!! I found Ellen one year when Greer was booked solid, and it was kind of an emergency. I hadn’t gotten a haircut in almost 4 years. My hair was down to my butt, and very unhealthy. Ellen’s personality is so warm and kind, and I happy cried at the end of my first cut & when she gave me a hug I could tell she really cared that I loved it. She did a blow out for me, which I NEVER do- and when I saw myself again in the mirror after all those years- I can’t explain the joy. After years of incredible cuts my hair is SO long and healthy and the natural curls are back! Shout out to all the amazing beauties at the front desk, and the support staff. If you have had a bad experience somewhere else or even here- please give it a shot and ask for one of these wonderful women.

I booked a haircut appt with Tunde based on reviews. I came here a couple of weeks ago to fix a cut I did myself. She was nice but she spent at most 10 minutes actually cutting my hair. In other salons, my hair gets cut in sections. She just took some hair off the top, trimmed only the back, and cut my bangs. My hair remains uneven and it is noticeable. It was a bad cut. She said it’ll look better grown out but it just looks awful right now.

I was looking for a new stylist about a year ago and randomly found Ellen from her profile on the Mason & Friends website. I love her!!! She does my color and style. She is a great colorist. My color looks natural and stays healthy.

This is a friendly, welcoming salon. The shampoo persons chat comfortably or will be quiet, if that's your mood. My stylist, Theresa, is *the best* I've had in many years! I think $63 for shampoo, cut & style is very reasonable. Tip: bring cash for tips, as you can't add it to charge card. I give $3 to shampoo person & $15 to Theresa.

This was my first post chemo hair cut and Kate was great. I'm trying to grow it out but it needed to be shaped. Kate listened, asked questions and gave me tips for how to style it during this transition phase. Would recommend to anyone.

Ellen completely fixed my Hair! I got horrible highlights put in at another salon and she was able to listen to me, fix it, and make me feel so confident. I finally found a stylist I will be going to again!! She’s so sweet and really cares! Couldn’t recommend this salon more!!!

I had my hair cut here for the first time over the weekend and I love, love, love my haircut, done by Tunde. She is amazing, she consulted me closely on what I wanted, did a beautiful cut, and then really took the time with me to coach me in styling it without once pushing a single product. I paid about $50 for the cut and felt that I was criminally underpaying — it could have been twice that much and still felt like a good deal for the quality of the service. The environment was VERY welcoming and clean, and every staff member I interacted with, from reception to shampoo to style, was so professional and friendly. I hate walking into a salon where everyone feels too cool for you; this was the total opposite of that feeling. I’ll be a loyal customer from now on. Two more things I really appreciate! One, they make cash tips very easy. At the front desk are tip jars for all the shampooers with their names and pictures on them, envelopes for stylist tips, and an ATM in case you forgot cash. The second thing is the staff are continuing COVID safety measures by masking, which put me at ease. HIGHLY recommend!

I love it here. I’ve been coming for almost two years now and I can’t see myself changing that. All the staff are incredibly friendly, prices are fair, and booking is a breeze. The spa area is nice but I haven’t personally used it. They also have a good variety of products for sale. I would recommend coming here for anyone looking for a new salon.

I took my 7 year old for her first haircut. With everything in the world, I wanted it to be a really special moment for her, and not just one of those random kids cuts places. The person at the front desk worked with me to find an appointment time to avoid crowds, and when we got there (bright and early on a weekday), the place was almost empty. Kate treated my daughter with so much kindness and respect, and the cut itself is just stunning. My daughter had a really clear idea of what she wanted, and Kate really listened, and then delivered a beautiful style that just suits her so perfectly (and did I mention it's now less than 5 minutes a day to take care of??) On our way out, my daughter told me she wants to go back there for every haircut she gets for the rest of her life. 😂
