I cannot say enough good things about my experience with the amazing hair braider Ro. Not only did she do an amazing job on my hair, but she is also incredibly communicative throughout the entire process. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and made sure I was happy with services before getting out the chair. AMAZING! Not only is Mariam fast and meticulous, but she is such a genuine, kind lady! I’ve been getting boxbraids for years and she is probably the best I’ve ever had. The braids are gorgeous and she really listened to what I wanted. Her salon-mannar is so calm and soothing and she was flawless at anticipating my needs (snacks, comfort, and TV). You can’t pretend to be that wonderful for 10 hours. She’s the real deal. I highly recommend her to EVERYONE but also, for non-ethnic folks who may be nervous about braids—she will pamper you no matter who you are.

I am so happy I found Mariam's hair braiding salon after a long search online for a good salon to braid my hair. I love everything about this salon. Salon is clean, and i felt very comfortable. She did a terrible job, she said my hair was too short to do cornrows so, she used fake hair that wont even stay in a tight braid to hold my crotchet in. So now the crotchet is falling out. Like how are you gonna tell me my hair is too short but its long enough for everyone else to cornrow it….A big waste of $100. She said she would call me back and let me know when i could come back and get it fixed. But she never did. Basically robbed me, i would not recommend at all.

This is hands down the best hair braiding place in St Pete! I’ve tried every west African braiding place while I’ve been growing my hair the past 3 years and this place is bar none. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else, this is by far the greatest place to do it.

Did an amazing job on my hair. Got four Dutch braids for an event and she did an excellent job. Braids were super tight but not to the point that it hurt. Very clean work and super professional. I’ve received so many compliments. Thank you again!

HAIRDRESSER SEAL OF APPROVAL My new go to salon! I am a hairdresser myself and recently moved to FL. I was anxious on finding a new braider in the area after having seen the same person in TX for years. I was seen by Doris, she is warm and passionate in her work. I was scheduled for a take down of small micro braids waist length, wash and reinstall. I am pretty picky on my hair being a hairdresser and was pleasantly surprised to have come across this salon. This was perhaps the best wash I have ever received! Good scrubbing and felt amazing. The take down was done gently with attention to my natural hair! I brought my own hair and they were fine with this. Miriam offered to take a look at the hair before the day of appointment to be sure it was able to be used. I showed Dorris where I part my hair and she paid attention to that and braided it with the part in the place I wanted. The braids were done consistent in length and thickness. She curled the ends after the braids and I must say this is also the best curl pattern I have had on the ends. They were actually curly . My head did not feel tight at night and I was able to lay down on my side of head without pain. She let me hold the root of the braids on the edges while she braided the length so it did not pull on my edges. All of the stray hairs were trimmed off after the braiding was finished and the braids were polished. No detail went unnoticed! I posted a picture with my hair in a messy bun that I did myself however you can see the neat sectioning that was done in the braids and the consistent thickness in the braids. I accidentally spilled my coffee all over the floor and Dorris was patient and kind in cleaning up my coffee and making sure I had space for all my things. Getting your hair done is always a long process and I can say I enjoyed myself the entire time I was in the chair. WHY? Because these people are genuine and fun to be around. It was run by a family mother and daughters. They all enjoy what they do and are lively and happy people that joke and entertain everyone they are around, This reminded my of being around family and made the visit go very quickly. I can tell that Miriam truly cares of her business as she kindly asked me what my experience was lime at the end of my visit with Doris. It is hard to find people that have passion in their work these days and I believe this place is a gem in the making! Do not go anywhere else go see Miriam and I will assure you that you will not be disappointed! Thank you to everyone at the salon for an enjoyable hair day and I wish the salon much prosperity in the future.

I had crochet done, and look amazing. Everywhere I go people are staring and saying you look gorgeous. Also, my daughter had long knotless braids done here, they were neat and well braided. They do a marvelous job, I have been going to this hair salon since it was opened. I have never been disappointed. Always doing a GREAT job!

I have been getting my hair braided at Mariam's faithfully for almost a year. The difference at Mariam's is in the detail and quality of work. Customer service is on point, so you're finished in a reasonable amount of time. The prices are fair for a men's style compared to a women's style. I wouldn't go anywhere else to get my hair braided.

I've gotten my hair done twice and had great experiences both time. Mariam and her daughter worked together to finish my hair and I really appreciated the speed and professionalism. The braids were perfect, tight enough to be secure but NOT tight enough to hurt or cause irritation. My braids have lasted about 45-60 days (depending on my upkeep). I'll definitely be going back.

Mariam did my hair in mircros the first time I went she up my price to 420 when it was post to be 360 I asked can she do me edges around the world because she did my micro so I went a second time she was very rude unprofessional said edges is only front I’ve never heard of this I’ve been getting micros for years I called another shop and they said she’s a liar edges is all around she will rip you off your money and don’t do the job be aware of her she’s not right I hope God blesses her because she’s dead wrong and my appointment was at 8 she had me waiting for almost a hour !!!
