Everyone was so sweet and polite. Best service. Was a little pricey but I got a French tip with charms and the gel nail tip which was new but it looks so nice! Lanie did amazing. Will be coming back!

I’ve been going to Lux for about 5 months now. Lani usually does my nails and is phenomenal! John has also done them once and I loved them. Everyone in the salon is incredibly friendly and professional, and the work they do is stellar. Highly recommend!

My previous review was not favorable, but I heard from the owner of Lux Nails and he said he wanted to make sure I was satisfied. He and his wife Lani had taken the day off, which he said was highly unusual, and wanted me to return quickly so he could have my nails redone. I was out of the area and had already made plans to have them done where I was, but assured him I would be back in about 3 weeks. Although I haven’t yet seen his or his wife’s work, his insistence that he would make things right shows me he is a man of good character and stands by his business. That is a trait that is hard to find these days. I will be back,

Lani is the best at any nail art you could want ! She even works with 3D gel which some nail salons in Gainesville do not. Very comfortable environment! If you wanna get your nails done come here!

My daughter and I were served one week ago today. I had a dip manicure and daughter had a pedicure. I think language was the most difficult hurdle because the technicians clearly didn’t understand either of us. My daughter wanted her toenails trimmed very short and straight across. She had to ask three times to trim them shorter and they were still too long when we left. The young woman who did my dip nicked my cuticles several times, and I had asked her to be careful because my cuticles are almost nonexistent and I will bleed if she gets too close. Her metal tip on her instrument would nick me, I’d say please don’t get so close, and she would say “thank you.” Not really a response that would say is appropriate for my request. Although I didn’t bleed, I did have pain when exposing my hands to warm water and soap. My chief complaint now is that a proper seal wasn’t accomplished at the tips of my nails and one has already begun to pull away from the dip product. Additionally they weren’t buffed adequately and snagged on my sweater. But this morning the top layer of the glossy coat is peeling away. The procedures together were $93, and each woman received a $10 tip, more than 20%. I tipped them because it was Christmas, or the day after, and the young girl had 2 kids at home. There were no other customers in the shop. I will try to get an appointment in my hometown to redo my nails that are only 1 week old. My dip typically lasts 3 weeks and I’ve been able to wait up to 4 weeks when I couldn’t get an appointment in the past. I’m not hard on my nails but I expect them to hold up longer than a week. I won’t be back. I do not recommend this nail shop.

Horrible business, extremely unprofessional and disorganized!! I’ve been a loyal client for over 2 years, and they have continued to have extensive wait times of 30+ minutes even after scheduling appointments, that they then claim were never made, despite there being an email confirmation for it. Then after making me wait 30 minutes for an appointment, they chose to refuse service when I expressed that it’s wrong to have such extended wait times without prior notice. They are very disorganized and rude!! Do not ever come here!!!!

I had an amazing experience. Lani is incredibly skilled and detail oriented. Overall work environment is welcoming, they made me feel comfortable. The Gel-X design I wanted was replicated flawlessly.
