Worst place ever to go for hair!! I asked for a very simple light brown hair color. The hair stylist Sabrina upon seeing the photo said that it was silver and that the lighting in the photo was what was making it look brown. When the hair was very clearly a light brown! Not only that but she called over another hairstylist to agree with her and say it was silver. I repeatedly told them that my hair was too silver and I wanted it to be a warmer brown color. Not only that but when Sabrina bleached my hair she directly put it on my scalp causing my scalp to become damaged and burn. Nearing the end of the appoint when we were drying my hair was silver. The exact opposite of what I wanted….. at this point the time was now 9pm I sat there for 7 hours watched her destroy my scalp and then bully me into getting silver hair that wasn’t even finished it has bleached hair still showing next to the silver hair I never asked for!! All I wanted was the light brown hair showed in the reference below

Being new to Folsom and after some browsing, I booked my hair color and cut at Lux with Jessica in Sep. She was amazing. She did a perfect color and a super nice cut that I loved. I am glad I found the right place in the first try and have been going to Jessica since. The place is very welcoming and the other staff are also very friendly.

DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT GO HERE. Do not go to this salon. The hair stylists do not know what they are doing. The manager literally argued with me. The stylist told me a toner would color correct my hair. The manager agreed several times that a toner would not work. So again she didn't know what she was doing, but I trusted her. The manager argued that he wouldn't credit me for the "wrong" way of fixing my hair. Even though he agreed the stylist was wrong. I had to laugh because it was the worst customer service I've ever had. What a horrible manager. I actually feel sad these stylist have to work with him.

Honestly I loved my haircut and the stylist really saved my hair! But she absolutely destroyed the back of my neck with the clippers. I had scabs and open wounds on my head for over a week.

I had a great experience at Lux. I called the morning of the day I wanted to get my haircut. There was multiple openings because it is a very big salon. They have after work hours for anybody who works on 9 to 5. My stylist name was Kaitlyn and she was amazing. She asked me what I was looking for, and she made my vision come true. She was great at what she does and I can't recommend her enough. I highly recommend the salon and her.

I have been going to Jessica McIntyre-Sheffer for over a year for my cut/color, and she has been amazing! I cannot recommend her enough. Her knowledge of products has been so helpful. I can tell her how my hair has been feeling (breakage, buildup, etc.) and she knows just the product to fix it. I always leave with great looking and super soft hair.

I have seen Violet here 3 times. Once for a Brazilian blowout and twice for coloring. My hair is tricky to color and she’s done a fantastic job! Shes very thoughtful and listens to what I want. I highly recommend her!

Virgo Roxanne does the most amazing job, she made me the happiest I've been in a long time doing my hair. 10/10 you must book with her she is able to make your hair vision come true!!! The salon is also a very nice environment, comfortable chairs and shampoo area.

I had an amazing experience at Lux salon! I got a cut and full highlight by Zoe. She was absolutely wonderful and I can't recommend her enough! I went in with dry, grown out blonde hair, with split ends, and lots of frizz. Zoe listened to exactly what I wanted, made suggestions, and reaffirmed my vision for my hair. She was so nice, I loved chatting with her while she worked. She delivered what I envisioned but better! I also noticed the other stylists were doing great work as well. Happy customers all around!
