Salon has a nice atmosphere and I did enjoy my wash. However, I do think they should list prices on their website. Also, my stylist spent so much time pitching products it felt more like a sales pitch than a haircut.

Excellent! I was treated warmly and professionally from the moment I called to schedule to when I left the salon with beautiful hair! The front desk staff was readily available to take my call and made it very easy to schedule an appointment for gray coverage and a hair cut. Brittany B was naturally personable and was able to completely cover my stubborn gray/white regrowth. Avery did a good and thorough job shampooing, conditioning and massaging my scalp. Brittany then cut and styled my hair SO WELL! I left feeling like my hair looked amazing in every way and I could not be happier! I have scheduled my next few appointments and will be happy to return and recommend this salon to everyone who expects an excellent salon experience. Thank you!

I have been a client there for 6 years. My main stylist is Britani, and she is outstanding!!! Salon is clean, sleek and hip. I love the washroom especially, as it is dark, quiet, and very relaxing. Great product line,

I have been seeing Coke Carlstrom for my hair and have had nothing but incredible experiences with him and the entire staff of LF. Every time I sit in his chair, I know I’m going to leave feeling incredible. He somehow manages to give me the perfect haircut every single time—no matter what I ask for, he absolutely nails it. His attention to detail is amazing; he takes his time to make sure everything is exactly right, and you can feel how much pride he takes in his work. But beyond his skill, it’s the way Cole makes me feel during every appointment that stands out the most. His kindness and warmth instantly put me at ease, and I always walk out of the salon not just looking great, but feeling more confident in myself. It’s rare to find someone who can make you feel that good about yourself, and Cole does that every single time. I honestly can’t recommend him enough!

Asked for ashy bright blonde tones as I always do and to possibly brighten up my dulling ends - unfortunately my hair pulled warm after the first toner so we did what we could to fix it as much as possible even though I wasn’t totally in love with the tone I was so impressed by the amount of work put in to highlight my hair and how well I was treated the whole time I was at the salon (: I was able to come back the next week to have the toner corrected and now I am soooo happy with the total overall result! Thank you!!!

I have been seeing McEllie for 4 years!!!!! I’m moving and I can’t see her anymore and I’m so sad about it😭😭😭 She is professional, informed and always knows what is best for my hair. I literally just let her do whatever she thinks is best because I just trust her. I always walk away with soft, healthy hair and she’s so on board and supportive with my hair goals (hair growth, strength, thickening). She recommends the best products as well!!!! If you are looking for a fantastic hair stylist in SLC I HIGHLY recommend her. If I could take her with me I would😭 She is so so so amazing at her job!!!! (Also the sweetest human ever!!!!!🥺)

A much needed appreciation to salon director, JR, for being understanding about an appointment mistake I made which resulted in a substantial charge for missing my appointment. He was very understanding and gave me the benefit of doubt with a refund of this charge. I completely understand and respect these kind of charges which should certainly be implemented (especially with repeat offenders). But it pleases me to know that one mistake doesn't set the course of a tainted relationship with a salon I really do love and am excited to keep going back to. Thank you JR and the entire team at Lunatic Fringe South Temple for continuing to provide exceptional customer service.

Brittany is the best stylist I have ever had! She gets my platinum blonde hair the perfect color every single time! Since she started doing my hair my damaged and dry locks are now healthy, shiny, and I have long hair for the first time in 10 years. She is fun and sweet and amazing at her job!

I've been a platinum blonde for 7 years and decided to try something different. I visited Lara, who had done a great job on my root touch-up in the past, to add dimension and warm golden tones to my bright platinum hair. Unfortunately, I left the salon with copper-toned (mostly) brown hair, which was not what I requested. The first toner used after low lighting my hair was too ashy, and the second toner, intended to correct the first, over-corrected and resulted in what I was told was a more permanent tone. Consequently, more bleach had to be applied to my already fine, color-damaged hair. This issue could have been avoided if someone had monitored the toner more closely, especially when using permanent or semi-permanent color and considering my hair is porous since it’s bleached. Instead, I sat in a dark room with minimal checks until it was too late, both times. I'm very disappointed that I paid over $300 to walk out with hair that looks nothing like the inspiration I provided. I plan to find another salon to fix my hair, as I no longer feel comfortable returning to Lunatic Fringe.

Just moving from Dallas and this is the second salon I’ve tried in SLC. I booked an appointment and chose “any stylist”. I hit the jackpot with Stephanie! Everything about her service, and the conversation leading up to it was 10/10. I have found my new salon in Lunatic Fringe!!

I have been going to Avery for over a year now. I am so happy to have finally found "my hair girl". She really takes her time talking with me to understand what it is I am looking for when I go in. I also have a lot of hair and it takes longer to dry so I appreciate that she remembers to book more time so we don't have to rush, its the little things!

I was 10 min late to an apt, was literally in their parking lot, when they called me and told me my apt was cancelled and they charged me $260. This isn't how a good company treats their long time loyal customers. I've been going to them for best a decade. They are great as long as God forbid something ever happens in your life to make you a bit late.

I’ve been seeing Avery for months and I feel so lucky to have found her! She’s so good at her job and I trust her fully with my hair. Here are some of the things I love most about her: -She’s so talented. I have very fine hair and see her for blonding and extensions and she’s does incredible work at both while minimizing damage. -She’s extremely efficient. I do a lot at each appointment and I’m always amazed at how fast she works without sacrificing quality. -She’s curious. You can tell that she loves continuing her education. She knows A LOT about products, techniques, etc. She has also made an effort to get to know me (my preferences and also just who I am on a personal level). -She’s professional. She carries herself well but she also follows up, checks in, keeps me posted on pricing as we go along, etc. -She’s a sweetheart. Seriously. She’s just a really nice person! You can tell she’s someone who really loves her job and goes out of her way to provide good service. I’d like to think I’m special (she certainly makes me feel that way) but I’m fairly certain that she makes sure all of her clients leave feeling this good about themselves.

meh.... girl working here told me I looked like a homeless person..I really didn't appreciate that. Won't be returning to this place. Everyone has rough days, don't need a hair stylists rubbing it in at the end of a long day. Haircut was okay ... but I probably could have paid $30 less and gone to great clips for the same haircut.
