I recently had my first visit to Lumar Hair Salon, where Rosa worked her magic on my hair. Not only did she skillfully cut my hair, but she also expertly administered my first perm. As a newbie to perms, Rosa patiently guided me through the process, demonstrating a wealth of knowledge and helping me choose the perfect perm size. Her warmth and kindness made the experience delightful, and I left feeling confident and informed. Not only did Rosa excel in styling my hair, but she also generously shared maintenance tips to keep my curls looking their best. The salon itself was impeccably clean and offered reasonable pricing. Needless to say, I'll definitely be returning to see Rosa for my future hair needs. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

So lovely! Absolutely amazing experience! I last minute decided to get a haircut and didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for it (like so many salons in Boston) — walked in, they immediately sat me down and got to work! Clean, professional, kind, it was a wonderful experience — and truthfully one of my favorite haircuts to date! Also: they really do listen to you! If you say you want only an inch off, they take only an inch off! I have pin straight hair and she worked with me on how best to accomplish NOT choppy layers! Came out exactly how I envisioned!

My wife and I have both been getting our hair done by Angela for a few years and recently she styled both our hair for our wedding - which included a way-out-of-the-way drive! She always does a great job and she’s easy to talk to. We can’t recommend her enough!

Wonderful caring talented people capable of doing anything with your hair! All covid rules strictly enforced. Male and female stylists available. Parking lot right across from them. The only place I have gone for decades.

Angela and Lisa are both amazing! I've had a balayage and a keratin treatment and multiple haircuts and I love the service and conversation each time! Very clean and professional, I can't recommend them enough.

The girl who did my hair was really nice and they were able to take me right away! I called to make an appointment at like 11:30ish (they don't require appointments, but I wanted to play it as are) & they gave me a time at 12:00! 😁

Went here for the first time today and it was definitely a bizarre experience! I called and was able to get a same-day appointment. The place is nice. The owner was there and seemed like she is a good stylist. I told the other guy, cutting my hair, that I wanted layers. He said “No, all one length. You’ll see.” As he was cutting my hair, I said “I just want to make sure it’s not a blunt cut. I want lightness and movement at the ends.” He said “No, easier to take care of this way. I’ll show you.” I have a LOT of long hair, and my cut took ten minutes. No blow dry. When he was done, I said it wasn’t what I wanted, he said it looked good, I payed, and left. $35 plus tip.

I'm a guy that like his hair a certain way and it's hard to find someone to get it right everytime. I can now count on 2 hands how many times I've had Angela style my hair! She gets the fade perfect everytime with no fuss!!! I've seen her work on womens hair too and she's definitely someone that know what's she doing! Lumar-J 5 stars!

I walked in off the street and made an appointment with Lumar-J and I'm really so happy I did! The cost for a wash and cut is absolutely affordable to the point of being a steal. My stylist Angela was able to provide an amazing cut just based on simple questions about my needs and daily routine with my hair. I will definitely return.

Lisa and Rosa are incredible. They are wonderful hairdressers who really listen to their clients. They are also just fun people to be around (which makes the whole experience more joyful).
