I had a wonderful experience at lucky locs salon! Carmen is a wonderful, knowledgeable woman who truly cares about the health of your hair. My consultation was informative and she even did a couple tester locs (braids and twist) so I would know what to expect on my install day. Her work is superb and while she will do the style you request she will let you know what will work best for your unique hair type. I went to her for my starter micro locs using two strand twists and I am in love with them!! I will be going back for my maintenance as well. I highly recommend Lucky Locs for anyone considering locs!! Michelle is also wonderful and they got my hair done much quicker than I was expecting. 10/10 Update: I’ve now been coming to this salon for my hair maintenance for 16 months now and I’m still very happy with the service I receive each time, as well as the progress of my hair. When making an appointment start on the website and book a consultation FIRST haha. You can book an appointment right after a consultation but that will always come first at this salon. 8/2024 Coming up on two years of working with Carmen at Lucky Locs and my hair is doing very well. I’m almost fully loc’d with healthy hair under the care of this salon.

Mrs Carmen is the best hands down she’s been doing my locs for 2 years now and she’s so understanding so sweet so professional the prices are great I live in Fort Collins and I drive over a hour every 2 weeks with no hesitation and im always happy satisfied and feeling like a million lol but all jokes aside she’s the one for me and I highly recommend her to anyone With Much Love Shayn Monee

Carmen is the BEST! My son had some bad braids put in at another braider and we didn't know what to do, the day before school started! She met with us same day and undid the damage and then instructed us on how to care for his hair until he has enough growth to get just what he wants. Can't wait to see her in a few weeks for his PROPER braids!

She is the exact definition of unprofessional. First she doesn’t respond to her clients, she doesn’t answer her clients calls, and she responds to questions clients have the day before! It’s completely ridiculous. Not only was she unprofessional, but my gf wasted SEVERAL months not gaining any progress with her locs working with them. She started in February and it is now August, she hasn’t gotten ANYWHERE with her locing process and now she has to start all over with a new loc tech who ACTUALLY cares about my baby’s hair. I’ll make sure that she won’t be going ever again. (This review is about Carmen btw.)

This is Shaeisha this is the forth time I’ve tried locs because I couldn’t find a reliable loctician until now. I’m more than satisfied with the service I’ve received. My locs look nice, they last and she gives me tips on products I should use. I highly recommend Carmen’s services.

Carmen is an awesome loctician. She is fast friendly and has great energy. I haven't gone nowhere else since she started mine. Her prices are fantastic and no one in colorado is beating her skills. She seems to have growing hair because my locs are stretching. I appreciate the time she took caring for my hair. Will continue to keep getting my hair done from this wonderful lady.

From the very first appointment, Carmen demonstrated exceptional professionalism and skill. Not only did she provide excellent care for my locs, but she also took the time to educate me on proper maintenance in between my loc retwist appointments, which I greatly appreciated. Her kindness, understanding, consistency and wealth of knowledge in locs truly sets her apart. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience at Lucky Hair Braiding and Locs!

Absolutely amazing. Had patience with me when I didn't like the way his locs looked (I wasn't prepared for the budding stage) she encouraged me to wait and she was correct. I love his hair now.

Carmen is AMAZING! She is professional, very welcoming and an absolute joy to chat with. Her personality is genuine. So glad I found her, I won't be going to anyone else EVER! I love Ms. Carmen. I started my locs with her. She told me exactly what to and not to do to grow healthy locz. I moved out of state and whenever I come to Colorado I make it part of my itinerary to let her put her growing hands on my hair. She genuinely cares about her clients. Best stylist I’ve ever had. I've been coming here since I moved here last December and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Carmen has been taking care of my locs almost every month for a whole year and it's been a great experience as a customer. The pricing is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to start their loc journey and even for other styles as well. You won't be disappointed!

Ms. Carmen is amazing at what she does! I saw her for a consultation because I wanted to get some microlocs. She went over and above to explain very detail even the minor ones to make sure I fully understood what I was signing up for. We set a date for my locs installation. She was so kind and accommodating to me as I had to bring along my 2 month old baby. I felt very comfortable in her salon. It’s very warm and neat. I’ve told all my friends about her because she’s sweet, professional and really endearing.

My hair is always done in a timely manner and high quality😁 Edit: unfortunately, a lot went south. I went in and prices were constantly changing (for the same service), phones weren’t being answered, there became issues with basic booking— I’m not sure if they converted the business to locs only, but some communication would be appreciated.

This young lady was very nice & explained everything very well. The reason I'm only giving 1 star is because the locs she put in my hair were very stiff, super bulky & very heavy. She left out the front of my hair, which really looked crazy. Then, when I asked her to remove them, all of a sudden, I was unable to reach her. I tried multiple times to get her on the phone & even text her. I ended up just cutting them off. This move was actually good for me, but i didn't appreciate being dodged.
