First time at this shop,and it was a terrible experience. I was getting my hair done for my birthday a sew-in and I tell you it was the worst one I ever got. I was checking out and tried telling owner or receptionist about my closure not sewed right and it wasn't glued down and she didn't care about it she said I got a DISCOUNT SO thats all she could do she didn't even look at it. I hate going to a shop and they act like they know what they are doing and don't. My birthday was ruined and I felt so ugly for my special day. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN. I will go to the salons i know and trust next time. I wish I could upload pictures and show how bad the services was.

Called and requested a shampoo and deep condition, confirmed an appointment for 2:30 PM. They were previously located off of Dartmouth and Hampden, so upon arriving to my appointment I had learned that they re-located. I called back and made them aware I would be about 10 minutes late since I went to their prior location. It was a little after 2:40 PM when I was standing at the reception desk for about 3 minutes - no one acknowledged or greeted me. But, a woman went over to another stylist and informed her that “the shampoo and condition called and said she went to the old location” and she responds “nuh uhhhhhhhhh”, I interrupt and let her know that I was standing right there, for my shampoo and condition. The stylist - I want to say her name is Callie - pokes her head out shortly after this and let’s me know that she’ll be with me momentarily. I waited until 3:10 and then informed her I had to leave as I had somewhere to be. Frustrating and disappointing. Confirmed my appointment without actually being able to accommodate AND went and said something about me being late without greeting/acknowledging? I would give 1 star, but Tasha used to do my hair when I was a teenager after she left Rumor’s Salon and I know she’s better than what I experienced today.

I called & spoke to Tasha the owner I asked for pricing for sew in extensions she quoted me over the phone & got me in the very next morning! She’s was very sweet and did a great job!! Recommend! 😊

I got my hair done for the first time here and the service was great. Tasha took the time to ask questions and give her professional suggestions. She even stayed later than planned to do my lashes. She has a great spirit and the atmosphere is nice and clean.

I have been using the Lovely Locs Growth Oil on my hair for about 6 months now and it has made such a difference! I have always worn braids and as I’ve gotten older my edges were starting to thin a little more every time I took my hair out. I went to get my hair washed and blow dried at Lovely Hair Designs and I asked what oil she was using on my hair and she said “Lovely Locs Growth Oil” we have it for sale, and I HAD to have it! My edges and thin spots have already filled back in and are enough to braid again. I recommend this to all of my friends looking to keep their hair thick and strong! Even my braider has asked me to grab her a few bottles! I definitely recommend the Lovely Locs Growth Serum!

I started going to Tasha over a decade ago when I had a color disaster with another stylist. I've followed her from shop to now her own shop. My color is so gorgeous and I get so many compliments on my hair. I highly recommend her.

Tasha has been cutting my hair for years. Matter of fact she is the only person allowed to. She pays just as much attention to my $25 haircut as she does the clients who pay her 8x that amount on their style. And…she gets it perfect every-time. She’s prompt and doesn’t juggle clients, you know the ones who swear your hair isn’t dry and leave you under the dryer for 3 hours on high and you feel like a raisin and pray for water? Nothing but professionalism and quality service. Can’t go wrong here

This is the best salon I've ever been to. I started my natural hair journey about 6 years ago but wasn't happy with my previous stylist so I started coming here. Tasha has been awesome at doing my hair the last 5 yrs and I'll never go anywhere else to get my hair done. The salon is always clean and everyone is professional and Friendly. When my friend told me about a hair salon that he takes his daughter to. I have seen Mrs.Tasha at her hair salon, probably more than four times. The only thing that I can say about Lovely Y Hair Design is that she is phenomenal! She listens to what you would like to do to your hair and then sometimes she has better suggestion is that you can do to your hair like she did for me. This was my first time getting my hair colored and she did a fantastic job! So I would love to give it up to Lovely space Y Hair Design! Everyone great always had smiles on their face always polite, showing excellent customer service to anyone that walks through the front door. I love my hair color. Will post another picture because I’m going to see my girl my friend Mrs. Tasha this week 😊.

Horrible. Just overall horrible smh. And whoever the old lady is who wears the high hills just stares at you. As soon as I got home, I got on YouTube and FIXED my hair because the amount of money I paid for my hair to be fried was NOT IT. Wow. I'll never return. Wish I could give 0 stars. I'm convinced the only person in their licensed is the owner and maybe the barber.

I have been in search of a really good stylist/shop. My hair is not the easiest to maintain and it was in bad need of a detangler before anything else. Lucky me, I came on Brandy's very first day! This woman was extremely patient, such a great listener and attentive to all my needs. She had her work cut out for her, but took the necessary time to get my hair straight. - She helped save so much of my matted 4c hair, when I was sure I'd have to cut alot of it off. I'm excited to see where her career takes her! I cannot say enough about Azjhion! What a great role model and example of what a cosmetologist who knows her craft is! Sister is so put together and does work so efficiently and professionally! I cannot wait to come back to see her for a blow out! The shop owner was so kind, too! Although I did not interact as much with her as the other ladies ( as she did not do my hair) I was happy to watch the way she talked to her customers and to her employees. She brightened up the room with her enthusiasm,willingness to help, and the genuine kindness and smiles that came from her made the salon an even brighter place. VISIT THIS SALON! YOU WON'T REGRER IT!

Rude, unprofessional, and lacking basic skills. I have never been to a stylist that made me feel that they didn't want to cut my hair, and that did less than the bare minimum. No wash, in fact didn't wet my hair at all, hurriedly and roughly brushed my hair, used clippers on my ends (never experienced anything but scissors/razor before and knew right then something was wrong). I have extra long hair and I only went in for a trim 😬. I'll be making an appointment with an experienced stylist at another salon to achieve more even results.

So this is my first time coming here and the people are nice but I gave Ms. Brenda pic of the her cut I wanted she didn’t even get close to doing it right and she kept asking me do you want me to do this and that over and over all I wanted her to was look at the pic and accomplish the style I asked for! And if you don’t know how to do something just say that! I mean nothing about the style was right and the curls didn’t last 15 minutes after I left the salon I was so upset! because it seems she had no skill and kept asking how did I want her to fix I don’t know what needs to be done to make look like the pic or even close but she is suppose to be the stylist you tell me and do it! So it was clear she didn’t know what she was doing! I really wanted to find a stylist who could maintain that look for me so I could be a regular you know treat myself keep my hair done but she was not the one!
