I had a very bad experience with this Vendor. When called for appointment. I was asked for service tax way above and beyond the groupon amount. I agreed for that. Then I was asked for $15 owe hour tip. This Vendor is looting customers. My humble request, please never go here or buy groupon deal for it. I lost all my money and the person on phone was very very rude. We go to massage for relaxation. They rip off customers money and are very self centered. Please stay away from it. I lost my 100$ and have bought millions of deals on groupon. Very dissatisfied. Please save your money

1.) They are very pushy and unclear with upselling. They told me it would be $30 to upgrade to the deep tissue massage but charged me $50 at the register and wouldn’t clarify the sudden change in price. 2.) I tipped a decent amount and they insisted I tipped them more. The whole experience felt like a shake down and I walked out spending $110 more than what I expected to pay. 3.) during the massage, the lady left the room multiple times and left the door open while I was on the table with my bare ass exposed. Through out the massage, she didn’t cover the parts of my body that weren’t being massaged. 4.) I asked what she was using on my face for the facial and she couldn’t tell me what it was. It felt like small electric shocks and it sketched me out that I didn’t know what they were using on my face as they went. 5.) all in all, this place felt like a scam. Not sure if they’re even certified.

It is outrageous what they are doing in this place.I had the worst experience in my life. I bought a coupon on Groupon for a 1hour Swedish massage but the masseuse was doing very light massage I barely felt anything, she kept pushing to upgrade it for extra 30dollars but already half an hour passed. She was very aggressive, she didn't even understand what I was saying, I had to get up and type in her translator. I tried to explain her that i paid for a Swedish massage it should relieve stress and pain and she is not doing anything. At the end she even called her boss for me to talk to her. I was like this massage is getting more stressful than relaxing so I decided to leave. I will never return, and don't recommend to anyone to go. Very greedy place.

my parents had a coupon and just like all the previous reviews had a awful experience. Do not go. They would not stop asking to be upgraded and then cost a significant amount without telling them before hand. The massage itself was horrible. They felt unsafe and pressured in this environment. A dirty place with rude employees who scam customers. Very disappointed

So I read a bunch of the reviews here regarding the upselling, the tax, and the tip situation. Having that in mind I went in and redeemed my 1hr massage groupon which cost me about $45. Keep in mind the spa only gets about half of that, in hopes that you will be a repeat customer at full price. I called in and they were very upfront, they said the tax would be about $3 plus tip. This is standard and nothing wrong with this. If you bought a groupon for a restaurant they would still charge you tax and expect a tip based on the FULL value. When I arrived they very nicely reiterated the tax thing. I offered to pay it up front and they said I could wait until after. Now in the massage room there is a very very clear sign that says tip appreciated $15 ok job, $20 for good service, $25 very good service. I see nothing wrong with that at all. These girls work mostly on tips just like a restaurant but they can only service a client once every hour or so. Now during the massage my therapist did ask if I wanted a deep tissue massage, which she gave me a sample of. She asked if I liked it and I said yes, but then i asked, will it cost more? and she said yes $30 more, so I politely declined and that was the end of that. But HAD I NOT ASKED, thats the issue and why I am giving it a 4 star. The massage was great, the place is clean, the atmosphere pleasant, that gets the 4 stars. Owner: stop training your therapists to sneak in a charge at the register, it is not ethical! Be up front and just say, by the way if would like and upgraded deep tissue massage it would be $30 extra, or make a sign if your "english no good". Again, I liked it, I would go back but you have to be aware of the potential upsell. TAX AND TIP is normal so dont complain about that. I tipped $27 + $3 tax.

complete SCAM! Do NOT go!!!! I bought an expensive spa/massage package for my mom for christmas. She went with her sister. the location is absolutely disgusting. the people were unprofessional and rude. they verbally threatened my mom and aunt for more money. my mom and aunt only received the sub-par services that were in the spa/massage package. my mom and aunt feared for their lives so they paid these scammers the additional money and ran out of there. these people should be arrested!!!!!!

Bought 1 hour Swedish massage and the technician kept asking if I want to upgrade to something else which would cost more. I told her no then she still kept asking again and again. I told her listen I come here to relax and I already told you NO! Feel very bother by this kind of service, she wants more money and not respect client relaxing time!!! Think twice before come here if you want to enjoy and have a quiet time during your massage!!! I ended up request to change the technician

Hello, I visited la Vita Day Spa. Plainsboro location today. I did one hr of massage and 1 hr od signature facial. Massage was very relaxing and I don't have any problem rather it was a full of stress release but after the facial, I tipped them and came back home. On the way back home, I started feeling irritation and inflammation on my face. Still I waited, but after 15 to 20 minutes my face started to fill with red spots and a strong inflammation. I have my pictures with it. Please use good quality material and stop to use cheap material. Our face and skin are very important to us and I don't want to ruin it.

La Vita Da Spa - Plainsboro I have been going for past year after taking the $300 package, and paying a tip of $10.00. It was until, Mother’s day I gaved extra $20.00. After that I went back after two weeks , gave my $10.00 tip and was shown a tip chart that I have to pay more than $10. What is Gratuity? Its a tip to show appreciation of a service given. Why should I have to get a certain amount? It is plain GREED. I have to pay for the massage over $59-55 + pay 10 = ( not calculating the tax) $70 per massage and the greedy people now wants additional money for the service renders to $5-10 more ($80 for massage???every session. Do I have to pay your employee and hourly rate too to do their job? I feel uncomfortable going there now and wish I can get a refund from the $303.85 I paid there. Too bad I was told after I renew my package about the demand for higher tips.

Let me start off by saying I never write reviews. So anyways I had gotten a gift card to this place a while ago which ended up expiring. I called the place and they told me I would be able to use it for a fee of 20%….$36.00… annoying but whatever. After the service I went to go tip the lady $25.00 which I thought was fair due to it being a gift card and on top of having to pay a fee.. the lady rudely told me that that was only for a one hour service and that I have to tip more… I ended up having to tip her $40 cuz she wouldn’t accept anything less. Honestly the service was fine.. but I thought tips were “gratuity” … this seems more like a service fee on top of paying for the service .

Avoid this place! I purchased a Groupon and they would not honor it when I tried to redeem it. They wanted me to pay the difference as they claim I've been there before and therefore wouldn't honor it. First they made the appointment and then called me back 20 minutes later to tell me this. The woman I spoke with was rude and kept talking over me. I never had an issue using a Groupon before, even if I purchased one more than once. What terrible customer service! I guess they don't need customers and are doing okay - as they certainly lost this one and I'll make sure to spread the word. Go elsewhere - there are many massage salons around!

I am writing the review on behalf of my wife in terms of service and on behalf of myself in terms of payment. It started where I wanted to make a surprise for my wife and found it very cheap on Groupon 1 hour massage and facial for $89.-. I called the salon directly to find out about the service, the Lady was very nice, and once she heard about my plan, she offered me to make a purchase directly, and she can match the price. Since I asked if it is possible to make the massage 90 minutes, the price went up another 40$ that was ok, and I agreed to it. Then, to add hot stone therapy, the price went up another 20$, but the therapy was included on Groupon, then plus tax. She said it came to a total of $165-. Another thing that I want to mention is the tips. I wasn't personally there, but my wife told me that ther stays it is a must to leave a minimum amount of tip of $15- and this is for each person that is sevicing you. I understand that if you like the service, you leave a good tip, but as a must? I do not like the word must! Tip should be free up to everyone! I am that kind of person who always leaves tips and even more than it should be IF THE SERVICE IS GOOD. NOW TO THE SERVICE! The service was great. My wife was enjoying it she said everything was great. What about tip my wife asked me before she even knew about the must how much she should leave, and I told her depends on how she likes it like always, if it is great she can leave $20 to $30 or less if she do not like it. Conclusion: Great service, but do not run into a trap where you will spend more than planned.

I bought a Groupon from this place for a one hour massage and facial, do not go .... with her not speaking English much didn't help but understandable , not tacking on 45 dollars to the bill, which equales the amount of a reg. Massage without Groupon.. NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!! Honestly feel worse after because I felt I've been swindled , wish I never went

I have had difficult back issues this summer which I finally got under control. The massage was just what I needed to recover. My massage was targeted where it was needed and she suggested I might want to try the hot stones. I also got info on their reflexology. It's clean and friendly. Go Enjoy

I purchased a Groupon and here’s my review. The Masseuse was 15 minutes late. The sheets were not clean and I declined a service that was offered to me during the massage and mysteriously I was charged for this service after the massage. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a massage.

I went to this place for a Swedish Massage that I purchased through Groupon. Before the start of my appointment, they asked for $3 extra for tax. The manager or owner then came out and was charging me extra $20 for a prenatal. I said I am not coming for prenatal but a Swedish massage, that can be done in sidelying position for my neck and back. They weren't considerate at all, took advantage of my condition and decided we are going to charge you extra. I felt discriminated against because I was pregnant. When I asked what the $20 covered, they couldn't say specifically what justified the extra charge. Plus nothing in the fine print that pregnant people will be charged extra. I cancelled my appointment and just left the location feeling compelled to share this upsetting experience I had. They were very inconsiderate and are not transparent enough about all the extra charges.

If I could give zero stars I would. I found this place on Groupon. So the service was paid for in full with taxes included. When We entered the spa and they automatically started saying we owe them $6 per person for taxes on their store behalf. We agreed to it so we wouldn’t argue. Then during our massage they offered to do a deep tissue and then added another $20 per person at the end. When we left we gave them a $20 tip. They argued with us about it not being a fair enough tip and demanded 25% of the total cost of the service. I explained to them that $20 was all I had. The women proceeded to yell at me and said “ this is what we work for is tips, what you mean you won’t give me more” I was flabbergasted & livid that I just got yelled at for tipping someone. The massage lady was lazy they didn’t move from my shoulders after repeatedly telling them I wanted my legs & I didn’t even get a full hour massage. The audacity for them to demand a 25% tip for horrible service. DO NOT BOOK HERE GO TO MASSAGE ENVY!

I’ve been getting my lashes done since the beginning of August, I may have had some hiccups we can call it because I wanted more volume and when I would go in for a fill in I got natural then had to come back to get it more filled in, but I have to say when I came back in they were very accommodating and filled in more for me and made me so happy and loving the outcome now moving forward I will only get volume set. They last and I can say they didn’t ruin any of my own lashes. I love that they’re fast and there clean and who ever I get to do my lashes I love. Now im addicted. Thank you la vita!

Kitty is exceptional at lashes! In two weeks I only lost two lashes. This was unheard of in my previous lash experiences. I also treated myself to a massage and a facial by Tiva. Both were lovely, but I wish my feet were massaged a bit longer. The spa is extremely clean and everyone I have interacted with has been friendly and polite. I referred a friend immediately after my first visit. You have a customer for life!

Not the best for Groupon as I had to pay an extra $40 for the full effect of lashes. It seems like it’s a scam as they have a sign inside saying $15 tip minimum required for services of an hour or more. Great lashes and quick but I wouldn’t go back to be honest.

The amazing groupon deal caught my eye and they were so nice and helpful. HIGHLY recommend the extra for soft mink its night and day with quality and comfort. They have memberships that are so affordable. Place is very clean and they are very professional. Have been going for months. They last weeks however i like to go every 2 week refill to keep them perfect and its the most affordable place youll find for that quality. They do a great job with brows too.

Very dissatisfied save your money and go somewhere else! I had a 2 hr appt yesterday a facial & deep tissue massage. I upgraded to a deep tissue massage for $20 more thinking it would be worth it but the lady barely touched me. My head, my feet and the front of my body were never massaged? I was also told hot stones came with my package and i never got that either. All they gave me was a hot rag. The room itself was freezing cold i needed 3 blankets to keep me warm even with the warming bed. The facial was the only thing I enjoyed but it was half done and made the mistake to upgrade to use the microdermabrasion machine which was a joke it literally is a tiny suction machine that has no sucking power!! I was Super hype to come here based on the good reviews but left very disappointed. Will never come back to this place. Save your money and find a legit massaging place!
