I am so glad I found La Muse Salon & Spa. I'm new to this area of self care and I continue to appreciate Emma's expertise. As a busy working professional and mom, I love visiting Emma for a brow tint and lash tint. I don't like to spend much time with makeup but I have blonde brows and lashes and this awesome service helps me feel more put together. :-) I have PCOS and deal with unwanted facial hair and I really appreciate Emma's brow, lip & chin wax combo. I also love her facials and she has helped me find skin products that work best for my skin. Updating to add: Emma is such a talented esthetician and I was reminded today how relaxed and refreshed I feel after my appointments with her.

A friend recommended I see Emma for a lash lift and tint. I loved her work and stuck with her. I loved her work so much I started getting facials as well and eventually moved my waxing services over to her. I have never been so happy with my face! I can’t remember the last time I had a break out. My results are fantastic and I always feel relaxed when I’m there. I cannot recommend her and her services enough. Worth every dollar!

I have been going to Emma for several months now and my eyebrows and skin has never been better! I’ve been doing eyebrow waxes and mini-facials, and the fact that I have had zero skin barrier issues (I’m very, very, very sensitive to a slew of ingredients) after the facial shows how knowledgeable she is and the quality of the products she uses. I can’t recommend Emma enough!

A very welcoming environment! I’ve never had lashes done before but Emma did a great job making my lashes look long and beautiful while still making me feel like my natural beautiful self. It was the most relaxing experience ever! :)

If I could give 100 stars I would! My experience from the start with Emma was amazing. Her space is clean and very welcoming. I got an eyelash list, facial and brow wax. This was my first facial EVER and Emma was great with walking me through each step, listening to my goals and overall always made sure I was comfortable during my facial. My eyelash lift and brow wax were perfection. I have very straight lashes, so talking to Emma and coming up with a game plan on on how to continue my lash treatment to give them that effortless curl we all look for. The location of the business is great too. You can get pizza, coffee and book all within walking distance. Parking was really easy as well! I can't recommend Emma and La Muse enough!

Emma is the best esthetician in Portland. She makes sure that all of her clients are comfortable before anything happens. I have gotten waxes and facials from her. My skin is GLOWING after the facial and makes me skin look better and better each time. Emma makes sure you are comfortable with the wax heat along with extractions before she starts. Her work is worth every penny and I will not be seeing anyone else besides her. Emma is a 10/10

Emma is the best! I have been getting my lashes done with her for over 2 years - as soon as businesses opened up after shelter in place /Covid . She does an amazing job, is ALWAYS on time and is a truly lovely person. Her new location is nice and bright and easy to get to!! I highly recommend her !!

Emma is the best! I’m aware there are plenty of estheticians and waxers in Portland, but as someone new to the area I took to her very quickly as she’s super easy going and allowed me to feel so welcomed during my first visit. Moving was stressful enough and trying to find someone new to do my facials was an additional concern I had, but after a few people recommended her in a Facebook group, I couldn’t have made a better choice than to go to her for services, especially for my facials when the stress shows up on my face. Her new office is not only in an awesome historical building but her space is tidy, clean and makes anyone feel right at home. I highly recommend Emma!

Emma is the best!!! Her space is located in such a cute pocket downtown, I can make my appointment such a fun day with Sizzle Pie, Buffalo Exchange and Powells Books right next door. Her space is always very clean and has such a light, calming vibe. I have been going to Emma for a year or two and I trust her with everything! She always gets me right with a lash lift and tint and gives such amazing facials. Her attention to detail makes her so special and she is great for giving advice on skincare and products. The best money I have ever spent! I went to see Emma initially for a lash tint and I got hooked, it lasts me about 6 weeks and it makes me feel so much more confident leaving the house without makeup. I got married a few months ago and had booked a wax and a set of 3 facials to get me to my big day and I am so glad I did, my skin has never been so clear and glowing and the wax was so quick and hardly painful in comparison to other places I have been to! I cannot recommend Emma enough, I have never written a review but I have to share how wonderful she is. She makes you feel comfortable and is so so kind.

I am absolutely LOVING my new lashes!! I haven't been able to stop looking at them since I was given a mirror in the treatment room. Am I batting my lashes at everything and everyone? Yes I am!! Did I flutter them just now whilst typing this review? Lol, also yes! When your lashes look this gorgeous, you flutter them as much as possible. Add to that my newly tinted and waxed brows and WHEW! I am obsessed!! Emma, THANK YOU for making me feel sooo beautiful. Thank you for claiming my brows and lashes and for making so comfortable on your table. I'm so happy to trust you with my face!!! My plethora of tweezers have finally been retired. : ) Y'all, if you are debating getting lashes for the first time (or waxed), stop whatever you're doing and CALL EMMA!! I was so nervous to try something new, but she had me sooo relaxed. Everything from start to finish was seamless and utterly fabulous. She's super easy to chat with and my several hour appointment (1st time getting lashes installed + waxing) was so much fun that the time zoomed by. I’ve gotten many services done with Emma and she is one of the most kind and wonderful people to spend time with. She’s very skilled and has a soft touch, it barely hurts when you’re getting waxed by her. She’s also a great communicator and she’s always been happy to help me out. I can’t recommend her enough, if you’re thinking about treating yourself, do it, and book with Emma! She’ll treat you right and you’ll be floating out of her beautiful studio.

Emma is amazing! She has a fantastic touch during a facial and she has been keeping my lashes lifted perfectly for 6 months. Her room is always clean and her bed always comfy, you can chat it up with Emma or take a relaxing nap during your services. Would definitely recommend anybody go to her for their beauty needs!

Emma is an amazing lash artist! I have been getting lash extensions from her for two years and they have never looked so amazing! She doesn’t use harsh glues at irritate your eyes or damage your natural lashes! It’s been, like I mentioned, two years, and I took my lashes off, they look like I never had lash extensions in the first place! Her customer service is amazing and she is so wonderful with her scheduling! I can say 10/10 best lash artist I’ve ever had!

I am a long term lash client of Emma. She does an amazing job and always pays attention to the details. I recently started getting facials and my skin has never looked better. Muriel is a pure GENIUS when it comes to all things that empower women to feel beautiful through her work. There is a reason her Brazilian's + Brow Shaping are award-worthy. Her artistry transcends simple aesthetician practices, leaving clients looking and feeling their best. I have had to move out of state several occasions, and I can honestly say no one comes close to Muriel's ability and talent. Not to mention, you always leave with a smile and total joy after being in her presence. I feel so grateful to have her as my go-to for all things Waxing + Facials. Does Muriel need more good reviews? Probably not. I was looking for a place to get waxed after moving to Portland, and she was nearby + had been voted Best Brazilian in Portland. I'm so glad I gave La Muse a shot. Muriel is super friendly, removes EVERY single hair, and does a fabulous job. I'm the kind of person who's reserved and doesn't like to chat while getting spa treatments because I always feel that the person doing the job doesn't give a cr@p about what I say and is just being polite, so I just end up not talking. With Muriel, I actually feel that she cares, and she's so fun that the hour of waxing goes by quickly because we have so much fun talking to each other. I highly recommend Muriel and La Muse. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
