I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SALON! TARA BURNED MY HAIR OFF!! I went to Tara for color for the first time in September 2024. I had a consultation about a week before my appt. She called me "neurotic" 3 times during the consultation appointment as I was trying to explain to her that my hair had changed in thickness and in texture since I had breast cancer two years ago. She repeatedly told me it didn't matter what happened in the past and that we had to work with what I have now. She did not listen to me. You're probably wondering why I booked an appointment with her. When I looked at her website, I saw all the pretty pictures of the hair she's done and thought she could still do a good job with my color. I was wrong. I have thin, fine, blonde bleached hair. At my appointment, she put me under the dryer with foils bleach and color for over 35 minutes to process. I told her I had never been processed under a dryer before in the 20+ years I've been coloring my hair. She said everybody processes hair under a dryer. At one point, I told her that it was getting too hot and I had to keep turning my head, and her response was no, it just feels like that, the dryer is going around your whole head. So I didn't make a fuss. Well, for the last 2 months, the whole top half of my hair has broken off where it was completely fried under the dryer. I called Tara and talked to her about this, and she claims that it is the round brush that I use to style my hair that broke my hair off and the many many color services I had elsewhere before I came to see her. I explained to her that I only had TWO other appointments in 2024 to get my hair highlighted before I saw her. My hair was not over processed. She offered, free of charge, to cut the rest of the damaged ends off my hair down to the same length as the broken pieces. I declined that offer because the pieces that broke are only about 3 inches long which means I have to cut MOST my hair off. She also offered a free highlight at any time in the future and told me that we don't have to use the dryer at a future appointment. However, that wasn't an option on the day of my actual appointment. Every day I piece my hair back together in sections when I style it. I am completely mortified!! Ladies, if you have thin, fine, or blonde hair, I CANNOT RECOMMEND TARA because she burned my hair off, and the only time she apologized was to say I'm sorry your hair is not strong enough to be under the dryer. I never knew breakage was a real thing, but unfortunately I found out the hard way. I have never had breakage from a color appointment. EVER. Also, the photos that Tara took of the back and side of my hair versus how I looked from the front leaving the salon are NOTHING alike. I have since talked to another stylist and had them look at my hair, and this person listened to me, listened to the changes in my hair that I was explaining, and listened to what outcome I was looking for - Elaine Rubio at BellaBe Salon in Folsom. She is AWESOME!

I would seriously rethink supporting this business. Toxic environment. They love advertising themselves even if its unsolicited, but when it comes to treating their clients the gals can be nasty. As far as hair service, meh. There is definitely better options in Folsom. 💁🏼‍♀️

Tara is the best at doing hair! She helped me find a hairstyle that was right for me, and has cut my hair ever since. We have referred multiple people to the salon because she does such a great job. Besides the service, the salon is the cutest. It is in an old house with fun decorations and complimentary coffee. I always enjoy going!

I don't recommend Julie, she advertises on Groupon. Inquired about getting my hair done via messaging and she was very flakey. Doesn't seem coherent, and is not professional at all.

Cute little boutique hair salon in a converted old house which is very charming! The floors creak when you walk on them, yet they are very sturdy. The salon is much cleaner than a lot of salons I've been to in the past. I go here for my hair appointments with Tara. All the girls are great! You can't go wrong with any of them. They also cut, color and style men's hair. There is a handicap ramp at the side of the building as well as stairs if you prefer to take those. They also sell a few clothes in the entry way. But I'm always in such a rush, I've never taken the time to look You're offered coffee, tea, water or even a glass if wine which is great customer service. I recommend this salon!

I have been using this salon on and off for over 20 years now. And I have been to just about every other salon in Foisom since 1990. Le Coupe Maison is by far the best, most comfortable, friendliest and nicest salons in Folsom! Highly recommended!
