Very fast however she overbooked. Very heavy handed and used more hair than necessary. I had to take most of it down to prevent from breakage.

Got my hair done by this place myself. Keke didn’t come it was her coworker she was late as well braids start to come out a week later you got them 300$ my girl never again don’t go to this place it was also cold in the place never turned in any heat yeah why did I stay hell it was to late to say man give me my money back.

I made an appointment online yesterday to get some box braids and I got a email saying it was confirmed and accepted. I drove a hour away got there it was closed. They didn’t return my calls emails or text, JUST WRONG!!! Thank goodness a shop down the street was able to get me in when I called them to see if they could fit me in.. Kiki NEVER AGAIN!!!

I scheduled an appointment well in advance to get my hair braided at 9am. Arrived to the location 10 minutes early to make sure I would be there on time. When I arrived, I saw that the closed sign was on the door so I waited for about hour to see if she would show up and never did. I gave her a call wondering if she was even going to come for the appointment I had scheduled and she stated that she was busy and couldn’t do my hair in the morning and would call me when she is ready. I waited hours and she never called so I called once again to try one more time, and no answer. Highly recommend to NOT go to this place. They only want to do their job when it’s convenient for them and are extremely unprofessional.

Scheduled an appointment about two weeks ago, sent the deposit and confirmed the day before the appointment if we were on for the same time. I arrived at the braiding shop 7 minutes before my appointment and she was not there and I thought it was fine since I was early. I waited a few more minutes for her to arrive or send a message detail and did not receive any text and my phone calls were sent to voicemail!! I waited an hour patiently because we are all human and we sometimes run behind schedule, I do not recommend this business at all due to the fact of the communication!! Trust the reviews

Stylist works out of her home. Heavy handed braider, can tell she doesn't know about hair care. Paid for my braids but will not be returning. Work was a bit sloppy.

This is the worst African braiding company ever. I and another gentleman sat and wait over 2 hours for someone to arrive at the shop. NOBODY EVER CAME! It's absolutely insane to require a deposit if you're not even going to show up. I'm still waiting on my deposit. Being that I don't play about my money, I will be calling the BBB and filing a report/claim.

Am not the type to write a bad review for a business however I am so disappointed with the outcome of my hair since I loose all of my hair lining. I call Kiki and ask if they did wig installation and she said yes when she could’ve just tell me she can’t do it. upon arriving at the salon and was seated for my hair to be done, they never had enough got to be glue spay to do my hair and they neither have enough wig glue to do my hair. What hurt me most is for me to waste my 150$ to loose my hair lining. She wasn’t prepared , she can’t install wigs so please don’t waste your time going there to do wig installments

I had already agreed with the hair braiding owner the price to pay before arriving then when she got there she said she had to up the price, because she somehow skipped over the part where I said I wanted 18 braids even though she replied to my text. Not only that, she demanded money from me before having her employee finish my hair which I was not pleased with. After I refused she got her employee braiders to take down the couple braids after threatening to charge me 10 dollars. I will never be back and advise you not to deal with these unprofessional hairstylist!

If I could give 0 stars.. I WOULD! I made a Hair Appointment for the 1st time for my little sister 17th Birthday on 09-19-2022 @11am. We made it to the hair appoinment about 10:40am. I texted KiKi to inform we are here for the hair appoinment; and she (Kiki) replied to inform she's on her way. We waited until 11:03am to text her to see what's her location then she informed she's on her way but she's waiting until someone come to fix her car. We was very surprised to know she wasn't on her way instead she was having car problems. I informed I have back problems (DDD medical term). I am Disable. To make a long story short. Kiki she really ruined our baby sister 17th birthday. We lost our mother on 02-12-2021. Our mother passed away from Cancer. My mother has 5 kids total, Our mother has 4 Adult Children and a minor (Teen). We takecare of our baby sister like our mother told Us to do. My baby sister was only 15 at the time. So, birthdays, holidays and etcs.. We want those days to go smooth for our baby sister. Kiki African Hair Braiding, lacks communication skills, rude, inconsiderate, very unprofessional. After waiting almost an hour going back and forward with Kiki she finally gave us our $30 Deposit back. EVERYONE BE CAUTIOUS WHEN MAKING AN APPOINTMENT WITH KIKI AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDING. We as People Reap What We Sow. Have a Bless life, we shall NEVER RETURN.

I arrived at 10:30 a.m. I was seated at 11:00 a.m. They were finished at 7:30p.m. Staff were quite nice and pleasant. I was even offered water and snacks. Despite it taking an whole working shift to get my Senegalese Twist done, I am pleased and my hair looks BEAUTIFUL!!! Kiki had went out to get food for her staff and offered her clientele sum, it was delicious... Thank you Kiki African Hair Braiding for a job well done.... I will definitely pass your cards out in Alabama!!!!!!!💪💪👍👍

Made an appointment, to get micro braids after I was quoted 160.00 and told the kind of hair to buy. After purchasing the hair and showing up..the cost went by 100.00 and the stylist was not present. The place was already packed...all chairs full so obviously they were behind schedule. I sat in the waiting area..as a woman comes out to say my hair is long...it's not long at all btw....., also it would be an additional cost. I arrived on time for what? The person that does the micro braids wasn't there. I'm not sure how this place got 5 stars but ohhh no. This was very unprofessional. Now I'm stuck with hair and no style.

First of all, I made my hair appointment with Kiki, but got another braider. For braids that were said to only take 3 to 4 hours ended up taking 7 hours. I was told over the phone, one price but was charged $60 more. The brder was very nice, but slow 🐌 The braids look very nice and neat.

I called and scheduled my appointment with Kiki when I arrived she was finishing a client which was fine except two other young ladies walked in and one of them she told to start on my hair, I was uncomfortable because she started to explain to this young lady how to do the twist I was asking for. So I didn’t want someone who didn’t know what they were doing to do my hair and I didn’t dive 45 min to pay over 150 dollars for someone to practice on my hair. So I did let her start , but I’m used to getting my hair braided so I knew with the fist couple twist it was not gonna be done correctly. I told the owner ( Kiki) i didn’t want her to do it. Kiki did take over and my hair looks ok. The salon was dirty, she gave me a dirty mirror to look at my hair. While she was doing my hair we noticed that one of the packs of hair was not gonna work and she really had no solution, I decided to mix the colors. Moral to the story is I’ll never go back I found her very unprofessional and not clean. Horrible experience

I found this salon through Instagram. I ran across a number of braiders that could not do the Pop Smoke style feed in braids that I wanted. I messaged KiKi about the style I wanted and she was very prompt and professional in her response. She assisted me with booking and I thought her $25 deposit was very reasonable. I booked on a Tuesday and scheduled my appointment for that Saturday. KiKi was on time and very pleasant with great conversation. It took about an hour and a half but it didn’t feel like it from such a great experience. My braids are beautiful and I have gotten soooo many compliments. I will definitely book again in a few weeks and I highly recommend this amazing stylist!

Kiki did an amazing job on my hair! I love my braids. My hair is very short and she was still able to give me medium size long box braids. I would tell anybody to go to Kiki!!!!

Kiki was very Professional, she did Micro braids for me. On time & Quality on my Micro Braids are excellent. I will definitely have her do my braids on a consistent basis. I will definitely refer Kiki as a Great Braiding Stylist. Very pleased with the Quality of my Micro braids. I will definitely rate her a 10 Excellent Job!

Wanted to love this place but unfortunately they aren’t consistent with pricing over the phone and in person. You go in thinking you’re gonna pay one thing then have to pay another. On top of that, kept stopping to talk to people. I’m not understanding what the 5 star service is everybody else seems to have gotten. Oh well. I will not be recommending this service to anyone.
