Easy access. Had appt with Susan. She listened to what i wanted, engaged in conversation and made sure I was happy before I left. Scheduled another appt. Salon clean and did not smell like bleach, as sometimes occurs in salons. Pricing reasonable for cut/ blow dry

Best barber in all of Albany. Every time I get a hair cut here I get a tight fade and it feels amazing. Very refreshing experience with very reasonable prices. I have Asian hair so it can be tough to find someone who can handle it but Kent does everybody.

I had to cancel an appointment last week due to a death of a family member and I let the barber know of the cancelation ahead of time through text. Then I just tried to book an appointment for tomorrow (Sunday) but I accidently chose the wrong time and called him two days in advance and wanted to change the time slot to tonight. However, while I do know it was my fault that I cancelled the first time and tried to reschedule the second, that's no excuse for him to be extremely rude and aggressive over the phone. I could have easily done a no show since I'm not even from Albany but I went out of my way to apologize to him on the phone and reschedule, but he responded with animosity. I no longer have any interest of being a customer and went to Dukes Barber Shop of Albany instead and they were very polite. TLDR: Please be careful when you cancel or reschedule an appointment, you don't want an angry barber cutting your hair.

I was recently there and I have to say the hair salon is nice and the barber Kent was nice and a cool person but to be honest, after seeing my hair done for men’s cut, I was actually disappointed. I showed Kent a picture of what hairstyle I wanted and it turned out completely different. The fade on my hair was uneven and the back of my head looks like it wasn’t really put into work.

I’ve been going to Kent for the last 9 years, and I have to say I am so thankful for connecting with him. Kent is very thorough in his work to always ensure the best possible haircut for his client. Kent listens very well to any and all questions regarding my hair. His knowledge is above and beyond. And most importantly, Kent is funny and very easy to talk to and makes great conversation throughout the process. I cannot recommend Kent enough ! So I called with an hour and 10 until they closed because my work ran late asking "if I get there in 5 mins if I can get a cut" and before I could even finish the word "there" he was interrupting me with "No no no no no" never got a cut there and never will. I understand being booked but i can see he is rude. Spend your money else where there are way less rude and inconsiderate people to cut your hair.

I wanted a first-time perm, and coming from NYC where they have many locations that offer that service, I was hesitant to go with a salon in Albany. I found KENTS HAIR STUDIO, and after a phone call with Kent, I decided to go. Kent was amazing. We had great conversations, he was friendly, you can tell he loves what he does, and very knowledgeable in hair. He exceeded my expectations, and gave me a life changing first-time experience with a perm. Anybody should come to Kent for any hair consulting, styling, cuts, and other services.

I booked my appointment online and received a follow-up text to confirm it the day before. The establishment itself is very clean and well kept, the owner very personable and offered suggestions and advice for creating and maintaining my new style. 10/10 would go again.
