This is by far the best salon in Orange County, and I can’t recommend Kati enough! She’s given me some of the most stunning haircuts and styles, and her guidance on hair growth and strengthening has been invaluable. Kati is genuinely dedicated to supporting and educating her clients with a positive and uplifting approach. Highly recommend. I moved to the area a few months ago and had been looking for a new salon. The stylists are very professional and welcoming. They know all the latest trends and styles. You will not be disappointed if you book an appointment.

From the minute I walked in I was taken away by how beautiful and comfortable the space was. I was immediately welcomed and my wonderful stylist Senna got to work. Senna did such an incredible job and made my inspiration come to life! I absolutely loved getting to chat with her while she worked magic on my hair. She always let me know what she was doing and how each step would come together! It was my first time receiving highlights and it was a great experience. I walked out of the salon feeling refreshed and beautiful!!

I always wanted to try Kate Lane Salon because it’s so cute! And I’m so lucky I did because everyone is amazing there especially Kati, my stylist. Not only is she super sweet and stylish but she is the best at everything. She does the perfect golden beachy highlights and color. Plus she cuts and styles my hair perfectly. I found her a year ago and will stick with her for life! Even my mom goes to see her. You’ll love the salon, the experience and Kati.

I found Kati a few years ago after being with the same stylist for 10 years and feeling like I needed a change. After trying three other stylists without much luck, I finally found Kati—and she just got it. She understood exactly what I wanted and made it happen effortlessly! We’ve gone blonde, brunette, extensions, and everything in between, and she’s nailed it every time. Not only is she incredibly talented at what she does, but she also creates such a fun and welcoming environment. Whether we’re chatting over a glass of wine (me drinking, not her—she’s busy with all my foils!) or she’s letting me quietly work while I’m ‘on the clock,’ Kati always makes the experience enjoyable. I also love that Kati is constantly continuing her hair education, staying on top of the latest trends and techniques. I called this salon asking if they would be able to wash, blow dry and CURL my hair for a wedding. During the phone call they quoted me $55. When I came in they rushed curling my hair and it was flat before I even left the salon and they charged me an extra $30 for the blowout. I came back to the salon after 2 hours because my hair was completely straight and while “fixing” it they just rushed through it again. Very disappointed they wouldn’t do a partial refund. I would have had no problem paying for the wash and blow dry however it is ridiculous they only spent 15 minutes curling my hair. I do not recommend this place if you need your hair styled.

I recently moved to the area and was searching for a new stylist who could handle my naturally curly, fine hair with K-tips extensions, which I currently have straightened. I’m so glad I found McKenna at Kate Lane Salon! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and in good hands. McKenna really listened to my needs and worked her magic to give me fabulous results. My hair looks amazing, and the extensions blend perfectly. If you’re looking for someone who truly understands both curly and straightened hair, as well as extensions, McKenna is your go-to. Highly recommend!

I was quoted $55 for a wash, dry & curl. I told the stylist I wanted volume and tight curls. I have long, thick hair. I’m not sure why she used the biggest curling iron she had. She spent 45 minutes washing & drying my hair then 15 minutes curling it. I’m sorry but it does not take only 15 minutes to curl long, thick hair. It seemed like she just didn’t want to do it. My hair had no volume and was extremely flat minutes before my friends wedding! I had no time to fix it and they refused to give any sort of refund. I was originally quoted $55 and was charged $85.

Kati absolutely kills it every time! She listens to anything I ask for and when I’m not sure about a tone or length I trust her to do her thing and I’m never disappointed. She helps me maintain low maintenance blonde and matches my hair perfectly to my extensions. Highly recommend!!!

I have been looking for a great salon and stylist and finally found the perfect fit! I walked into Kate Lane Salon in San Clemente about a year ago and decided to give it a go. I have been seeing Kati for the last year now and always enjoy my appointments because I leave the salon feeling refreshed and beautiful each and every time. Kati is knowledgeable, easy going and overall, a wonderful stylist. I would definitely recommend her and the salon to my family & friends. Thank you for helping me to look and feel my best over the past year Kati. yes I know, . . . a little late, but better than never :)

Darci was so amazing!! I came in knowing that I wanted to chop my hair, for the first time ever after having long hair for years, and she talked me through everything. After making a game plan for my hair, we just had the best time talking while she worked! Highly recommend seeing Darci! She made a big decision and change so much fun!!

I was in work for a wedding and needed a refreshing haircut. Really cute salon studio! I was welcomed with a choice of water or coffee, which was appreciated. Darci is a talented and creative stylist with a terrific personality. I brought in a few pics for a new haircut and she immediately knew what I was looking for and gave me exactly the cut and style I wanted. Super easy to style now which is always be the best sign of a great cut.

Can't recommend this lovely spot & Master Stylist Darci enough! The salon is super cute, always chill, and parking is remarkably easy. Such a great experience from the moment I walked in and was immediately greeted, offered a beverage, and my service started right on time. Darci has a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer many questions I had about how to best freshen up my highlights. Darci was sweet, funny, and provided great guidance. My hair turned out beautifully!! Darci is extremely efficient and talented, getting me in-and-out in under 2 hours while still giving an extremely relaxing, spa-like shampoo and a beautiful blowout & style. 11/10 go see Darci at Kate Lane Salon!!

Got my hair done by DARCI!!! Such a sweet lady she is. She gave me an awesome haircut and an amazing hair colour just in time for our family photo shoot. For my haircut I just wanted some layers and keep the length, and she did just as I wanted. I was able to keep my length SO THANK YOU The colour I chose was cherry brown as an idea but I had Darci choose as fitted 😍 and it’s perfect, she went with more of a cherry black. I’m in love with my hair since it’s not to crazy and it looks natural ♥️. It had been a while since I got it done.. I have gotten so many compliments on my haircut and colour!!!! The haircut has been giving me the “blow out look” because of the lawyers she did. 🥰🥰🥰 I’ll definitely be coming back. Also the asking had a very cute vibe. Very clean and cozy 🥰 THANK YOU DARCI!

I am shocked by what a bad experience I had at Kate Lane salon, especially considering how many lovely reviews there are. Not only did I feel unwelcome and uncomfortable from the moment I entered, I ended up leaving with a different color than I expected, a stain on my jeans, and overall very anxious. I was hoping for a stylist that would help guide me to on how to fix my streaky highlights and light brown/gray roots, but what I got was someone who did not want to work with me and was not invested in my hair experience. Prior to applying color she told me that we were going to do a “Taylor Swift blonde.” She literally used those words and took the reference photo on my phone into the back while she mixed the color. (Also weird that she took my phone away. I literally had to remind her to bring it back to me.) But at least it seemed like we were on the same page about achieving a dark blonde/light brown color. I ended up a reddish brunette. Maybe my stylist was overbooked and just wanted me out the door as quickly as possible because that’s definitely how it felt, especially considering there were two people blow drying my hair at the end. I also overheard my stylist boasting to someone else that I was “all gray” when I walked in. I was not. I had blonde highlighted hair with brown/gray roots. I am 30. I know the difference. And I can only assume she said that to make her coloring look better than it was. To be clear, I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad shade in of itself, but it’s not what I expected and I was genuinely left speechless at the end. I really regret coming here, and do not recommend you spend your money at this salon. $175 for a color I have to now fix somewhere else is not worth it. And my jeans were stained by the dye too, so another souvenir I have to fix.

I’ve been seeing Kati at Kate Lane Salon for 3 years for both color and extensions and I will never go elsewhere. We’ve done it all from bright blonde to almost black and everything in between. The results are beyond my expectations every time. Kati is truly an expert at what she does and works with you to get exactly what you want out of your experience.

I am 100% pleased with the way Lauren was able to bleach my hair. For anyone with pitch black hair that wants it to be fully bleached, this is the place to go! You won’t be let down!
