JR does phenomenal work when cutting my hair and is familiar with cutting Asian hair for males which can be difficult. The first cut I received I gave vague instructions of what I was looking for and ended up with one of the best cuts I've ever had. On multiple occasions I've had to reschedule and he has worked me into his schedule many times to help accommodate me when able. He allots around an hour for a haircut which allows him to give you exceptional care vs. going to an establishment like Jude's where they do not allow that much time and you run the risk of receiving a haircut from someone new to you, inexperienced, or simply can't afford the time to give you the precision cut you're looking for. My fiance has been a customer for years receiving her cuts, coloring, various waxing services and purchases her shampoo, conditioners and hair treatment/repair products from here, all of which are great quality, as I too use them.

JR is an amazing hairstylist with the skills to meet your needs and wants. The studio is beautiful and he always has great music playing.

JR is a brilliant barber and an awesome person to talk to. I recommend him to all my friends and family. The man knows what he's doing, and my hair hasn't looked this good in a long time.

I have been going to JR for years and have a hard time trusting anyone else with my hair. Not only is he incredibly talented, he's a genuinely great guy. I look forward to my haircuts. The new studio is beautiful and such a gem. JR will leave you feeling confident after every visit.

JR is the best down to earth dude. He is the color master! Really knows what he’s doing! Explains to me step by step with what’s going on and explains things well. Love the new studio as well! Little gem in Grand Rapids. Always gives a great stylish cut. Doesn’t keep me waiting and COVID safe salon. I won’t be going anywhere. JR is da man.

JR has been cutting my hair for the past two years and every cut has been consistent and clean. The quality of cuts provided give me extra confidence because they are perfect every time. JR is an awesome guy and has a big heart, go check him and his new studio out and you will not be disappointed.
