Andrea at Nipper's Corner is a blessing. I thought I would never find someone nearby who takes the time and consideration to properly cut and style my curly (coils) hair to my liking. She does, in every step of the process, take the time and consideration to understand exactly what I want and executes it flawlessly. Taking the time to ask clarifying questions isn't common. She's personable and meticulous, and I couldn't appreciate her more! By my second session with her, I trusted her enough to say something to the effect of "do whatever you want."

I have been a client for more than 10 years. I had a bad experience during my last appointment, I booked my appointment one week in advance for color and haircut. I got a txt confirming the appointment was at 1:25, they called me canceling the color appointment because I was late!. The call was at 1:25 and I was only minutes away. Then said they overbook all the time and that my appointment was at 1:15 pm and I was late. When I confronted them with the txt message saying the appointment was at 1:25 pm, they said it was probably a typo error. Then they told me to arrive at 1:35 pm sharp for the color service, when I arrived they told me it will be the roots only because they don't have the time to do color, when asked about price difference, they told me that they will charge me the same price. In summary, problems with this saloon are: 1- lack of transparency. I did not know "they overbook all the time" so there is a likelihood that even though you re-arranged your agenda to attend your appointment in the middle of a working day, they could cancel it. 2- Assuming you are late because they made a typo error with your appointment's time, even though they asked you to confirm in advance, which I did. See txt message below as proof. 3- They provide a paid service, so even though as a client I felt aggravated, no attempt to fix it. No apologies for their typo error in their appointment time that caused all these problems. 4- I have been a faithful client for 10 years, if you are a new client, just imagine what to expect from their services. Erica is the best and completely transformed my problematic hair (I had it done at a different salon and she fixed it). She’s so gentle on sensitive scalps and always makes such a beautiful natural blonde. Thankful for her!!

Always enjoy coming here!! Everyone is always so nice. I trusted them to do balayage in my hair for the first time and they did it JUST right - not too much, not too little. It lasted for about a year and I got so many compliments on it!! I’m thankful to have a salon that doesn’t break the bank to go to!!

I came in essentially to get my grays covered, hoping for blonde on top and fade into a light red on the bottom. She said my hair wasn’t going to do that due to previous coloring. Okay. I respect that. One of the choices she gave me were to lighten the top. Great! Lighten the top. Mask the grays! Make me young again! I want to wear my hair down without hiding my roots. Once she was done with the top portion of my hair, I decided not to let her color the bottom red. To me, these grays are not blended, this is not lighter. This is still very gray with a grow out line.

I chose this place out of convenience. The location is close to my house and where I buy groceries. Knowing it’s an Aveda Salon I gambled that I would have a skilled Hairstylist cutting my hair. And I won! It’s hard to find a new salon but this will be my go-to from now on! The place is casual enough without pretensions but professional enough give top of the line service. She listened to me attentively and made some suggestions. Looked at my saved inspo pictures and did a fantastic job of giving me a cut I wanted. Super friendly! The quality of the cut and service gave me the confidence to know I’ll be returning! Thank you! Reasonable prices for the services. I’ve paid way more for a cut and didn’t get half the customer service offered at this place. Everyone seemed to enjoy working there. Good vibes in there.

I have been going to this salon for haircuts with Eryka for almost 2 years and it has always been a pleasurable experience. My haircuts are expertly done, the location is convenient and the staff friendly and welcoming.

I love Jón Alan I usually see Liz, but I was with Kyilah who made my visit the best! Jon Alan has been a favorite of mine. She was attentive my needs as client but also did what was best as the professional.
