Got my hair cut and styled by Sunni. This is the 2nd time he has cut my hair, and the 2nd time he has done a fantastic job! Very clean shop. I would recommend it to my friends!

Cool salon in a chill part of downtown. Loved the free parking at Jon Allen Salon. My stylist was amazeballs. First time with her, and she totally got what I wanted. My cut is perfection. I love that she really listened and allowed me to express what my hair wanted. It's over the moon cute. And I'm happy. Ashley Rose is genius, and the experience was the best.

I went in skeptical of getting a trim with long layers, but the stylist convinced me she would only take a little bit off and showed me about 1-2 inches off. She then cut 4 inches off my hair and framed my face when I never asked for that. I am very disappointed as I previously had a good experience here.

Paige has been doing my hair for a year or so now, and she’s awesome! She listens to what I’m thinking, but also injects her knowledge to make sure I go away with something amazing. I 100% recommend her!

Was excited to get a better cut with a stylist that has more experience. Sadly, I did not get what I asked for at all. I wanted a lob cut to and ended up with a full on Bob. The length in the back is what I asked for but the front got cut about 2 inches shorter. I specifically said that I didn’t want it too short to be able to wear in a pony tail. I asked for collar bone length. It first was cut about an inch below that so I asked for another inch off. Then I ended up with about 3 inches above that in the front and the back is at my shoulder. The left side has an actual step up in the cut. It is not a good cut. I I didn’t get a good view of it from the side until I got home or I wouldn’t have left a tip at all. It’s like the stylist did what they had in mind instead of what I asked for. I’m very upset and doubt if I’ll ever go back.

I had my first haircut at Jón Alan yesterday and am so happy with how it turned it out. Sunni was great, and gave me some really good advice on how to style and keep my curly hair healthy! The ambiance and front desk person were very nice as well. I love a coffee upon entry :) Definitely get your hair done here if you’re in Nashville and ask for Sunni!

I go regularly to get my eye brows tinted and have for at least a year. I appreciate the fact that I have seen the same person all this time. It creates rapport and a sense of comfort. Lillian is wonderful. She knows what she is doing but more than that she is open. She always makes it clear that she is seeing me as a person not another number. I have some social anxiety but never when I walk in there. These people are cool.

I had a great experience with my Hair cut here. Sunni smith has patiently listened to what I wanted and modified it so beautifully. He is very professional at what he does. He is very kind and communicative. I walked out happy from the salon. Definitely will re-visit and I highly recommend anyone to go give it a try here.

My 11-year old son has long hair and refused to get it cleaned up for a Nashville wedding we attended. After a lot of inveigling, I got him to go to Jon Alan's. He had a haircut there last weekend and the hairdresser great care of him to listen to his wishes (and mine), put them all together and he walked out with magnificent cut. Thank you for all the time and care you spent on him. I'm from out of town (NYC) but would definitely come back.

I called for a last minute appointment and was able to get one within 2 days. The staff was friendly and Paige, my stylist, was fantastic. The salon is bright, clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Jon Alan.

I started going here to get my hair cut about a year ago after I bumped into a girl who had a really nice cut and I asked her where she got it. I'll never go back to my old barber. Theyre wonderful here. The inside is super nice and their whole routine of the massage then trim then wash then hot towel then finishing up is just great. Anna cuts my hair and she's amazing! She pays attention to the details and gets me looking good every time. She's also very open to experimenting and working with you to get something unique that fits your style. But I'm sure the other girls are great too. Absolutely no complaints. Although it's not always easy to find parking right out front, so you might want to show up a few minutes before your appointment.

I went for a haircut since my hair has been damaged due to recent blonde color touch up, I wanted to get my hair back to healthy along with short length. Anna is the best one !!! She gives great suggestions which can be helpful , be it use of products, haircut style , haircut length. You can rely on her completely !! Totally going back for getting more services done! P.S - they also give $20 off on your first service !!

This is uncharacteristic of me to write a bad review, I thought I would try this salon. I was very specific about how I wanted my haircut. I didn’t want any point cutting any thinning shears or any razors. I was not happy with the fact that she started cutting my hair dry. I have extremely curly and coarse hair and it doesn’t do well with dry cuts, I had left the salon after the cut and went home, I started looking at my haircut and it was visibly uneven. I had asked my daughter to look at the cut and she said one side is longer than the other and it’s flat on top it had no shape whatsoever I had called the salon and asked if I can have it redone and fixed , they gave me an appointment a week later when I arrived at the salon, there were three hairdressers there and no clients. None of them were friendly the girl that they chose to fix my hair didn’t do much better than the original person that cut my hair. She spent most of the time with me defending the original haircut, instead of listening to what I wanted. I’m not going to name names, but I will say that I think the only person that knows what she’s doing in the salon and actually listens, is the girl that wears the hat. I have been in the cosmetology business for years. Listening is one of the most important aspects of the trade. After all it’s all about what the client wants. The do over ended abruptly with me becoming upset when she started to thin my hair when I told her not to. She only cut the hair around my face, again she did it dry. All the time telling how the original cut wasn’t a bad hair cut. If it wasn’t a bad hair cut I wouldn’t be sitting in her chair asking her to fix it. She said, well that’s all I can do, your just going to have to live with it. I’m sorry don’t waste your time or money on this place. If you decide to try it out go to the girl that wares the hat. She is the only one that seems to know how to cut hair.

We love Liz, but today was a very bad cut and not her normal style touch. Hopefully, it grows back fast, as there were lots of tears in the car.
