I’ve have been going to JEM since 2017 and these ladies are truly “gems” in my life! Unbelievably talented stylists, so personable, professional, and perhaps most importantly… magical! I’ve had cuts, color, and extensions on and off, and have loved it all! They’re really great at meeting their clients where they’re at, and whether it’s a trim, or a whole new look, the experience is just so enjoyable. On a personal note, I have gone through cancer twice now and the care, compassion, empowerment, hope, confidence, sbd happiness I have received from putting my hair needs in their care has been one of the biggest gifts.

My first time at Jem Hair Studio and using Jerianne as my stylist! My cut & color came out great, my hair feels amazing, and Jerianne explained so many things I didn't know such as tips for getting volume in my hair, how to style it with the new cut, hair dye ingredients, etc. I have switched to Eufora products exclusively since that visit. I chatted w/ Jerianne the entire visit; it was great "girl time". Don't hesitate to book your appointment with Jerianne!

Sarah did my blonde highlights and cut and she did an amazing job! I felt very welcomed, she listened to what I wanted and we talked about reference photos, and she touched base with me about pricing before we started which no one has ever done for me before! I'm very happy and will definitely be going back

Sarah, was so great! She listened to what I wanted and then created it with ease. The overall experience was like having a spa day for my hair--a warm eye mask and scalp massage while having the toner applied to my hair was a luxurious touch. Taylor is an amazing hair dresser. She did wonders to my hair this time. I had a Brazilian Blow out and highlights. Taylor was able to get all the orange out from my lold highlights I had done by someone. I have been going to her for a many years. Followed her from rockland county all the way up to New Paltz. Thank you Taylor! You never disappoint…

This studio is incredibly welcoming and has a homey vibe as soon as you step in. Everyone that works there is so friendly and accommodating. The salon is extremely clean. Words do not do any justice for my hairstylist- Sarah. She always knows exactly what to do when I see her and truly it is the best haircut and coloring I have had (I’ve gone to many salons in the north Jersey area) and I drive close to an hour just to go see her because no one else can do my hair as good as she does. She is so attentive to detail, always makes sure to communicate well with what style and coloring you want, and is truly so personable and talented. Would HIGHLY recommend going to this salon!!

Cece has been doing my hair for years. I recently got hand tied extensions so I could have purple hair and I love them!! She was able to reach all my hair goals & more. I would recommend going to her for any hair service

I can't say enough good things about JEM! I've been a customer for the past 7+ years. Before becoming a JEM regular, I used to dread getting my hair cut... no haircut anxiety here though! I very much look forward to visiting Jerianne for a consistently excellent haircut and relaxing experience. Although she's my regular stylist, I would feel extremely comfortable trusting any of the JEM ladies with my hair! It's clear that everyone there loves what they do and takes pride in their work.

I got NBR extensions done by Cece and I am in love with how they turned out. I was scared about having such a change done to my hair, but she did an amazing job, made me feel so confident and beautiful with my new hair length, definitely recommend getting these extensions with Cece, they look so natural!! I also love the environment at JEM, great salon, can’t wait to go back for my next appointment!

I got NBR hair extensions by Cece. I inquired about adding some volume to my current hair length. Cece is knowledgeable about NBR and took her time in explaining my personal options. Cece was efficient at the install. The entire JEM experience was on point. I would recommend her for any interest in NBR extensions.

I went in to get a haircut and lighten my hair and the stylist, Tessa, was able to do exactly what I wanted! She was friendly, caring and I would recommend her to everyone. Thanks to her I love my new hair and will continue to go to her! Definitely go to Jem Studio and look for Tessa if you're looking for a great hair experience!

Jem Hair Studio in New Paltz has a welcoming atmosphere and I was especially impressed by my stylist, Tessa. She was able to exceed my expectations that I had when I showed her the reference photos and she made me feel gorgeous by the time I left the studio. She took time and made it feel like a spa experience, while lightening my hair. Love this place and her! I'll continue to go to her and would recommend this stylist and salon to everyone!

I been now coming here for a couple of years , my stylist is Cece Brill , all I can say is not only is she talented in what she does she is amazing, always lifts my spirits and has me walking out like a new person! I would not go to another this young lady has a heart a gold our conversations are laughter and straight forward she be honest what would look good or not!! Telling you you won’t be disappointed!

I have been going to JEM for years now. I always go to Jerianne, she is my hair color queen! If you can’t get an appointment with her, the other women at the salon always do amazing looks as well! And if looking your best isn’t enough to get you in the door, the atmosphere they create is phenomenal!!!! Every time I go I have more and more great things to say about the updates they’ve made since my last appointment. Most important in my book is that they are a SAFE SPACE! Unfortunately we live in a world that needs them and they have made it happen! On top of being such wonderful humanitarians the salon is also beautifully decorated, such a vibe. The also have everything you could ever need in the bathroom which I think speaks to how much they care about their employees and customers. Need a q-tip? They have them. Need to go number 2 and don’t want anyone to smell it? They have poo-pouri (a superior product to any other air fresher I’ve ever used). I could say a million more wonder thing things about JEM, but I’ll end this review on another favorite part of going to JEM. The EUFORA PRODUCTS!!!! I have always taken good care of my hair and have never had results like I do when I use them!!! I’m not the expert so call them to find out why and BOOK AN APPOINTMENT RIGHT NOW

Jem hair salon is really the best salon in the area! I’ve been using Cece for almost 2 yrs and every cut and color has been fabulous! Today I gave her an assignment and she made me feel like a princess!! I cannot recommend this salon enough. Price is excellent, service is always amazing. All the staff rocks!!!

Hands down THE BEST of the best! From the moment you walk into JEM, you know you are in great hands. Jackie and her team make you feel so comfortable and fabulous. True professionals! I walked out with the most gorgeous hair and feeling like a million bucks. I drive over an hour to go to JEM and it is beyond worth the trip. I made an appointment with Jerianne to have her shape up a growing out pixie cut. She was super friendly, asked me what I wanted for my hair, listened to me, asked for feedback as she was cutting and asked questions about my styling routine, and gave me exactly what I asked for. She took the time to make sure I was happy with all of the small details, but at the same time she was very quick and efficient. I am so happy with my haircut and I can tell it is going to grow out nicely. Highly recommended! Thanks Jem and Jerianne!

I was in desperate need of a hair makeover and I heard that JEM was the place to go. From the moment I got there they were absolutely fantastic. I've never had hair extensions before and this was new to me but Jackie was absolutely amazing and I had a wonderful day. She transformed me I've never felt so confident in myself. I will be back this is the place to go! All the girls are wonderful and friendly it's a great atmosphere!
