No point in making an appointment. Their always overbooked and the wait is ridiculously long. I don't want to spend an entire afternoon in this place. Nice work but not worth it.

Alice does amazing work, if I bring her a picture of what I want she can do it! The salon is clean & the staff is friendly. I highly recommend JV Nails! Walk in is available but making an appointment ahead of time is recommended.

Took my daughter in there for acrylic nails ((which on their board the price says $40.00) I went to pay and I was charged $60.00 so I asked why I was charged $20.00 more than what was on the board she replied well she had them long and painted, now is that not the whole idea of getting acrylic nails??? to add to it she did not do a very good job 🙁 Yea Never again!!! Last time I was in there it took me over 3 hours because the girl that was doing my nails was working on someone else at the same time. Greedy if you ask me.

I called and there was no wait so my daughter and I headed up! We got there and were told to pick out our colors and there was someone waiting to do our nails. I was excited because this salon is always busy! We sat down and a technician cut my daughters tips shorter than she agreed to and hacked them with nail clippers cutting in the coffin design. My daughter always has long nails so when I asked for the tips to be redone (tech had just finished, so no backtracking and only respectful conversation with technician, I knew she had asked my daughter beforehand if length was ok, but then told me her fingers didn’t support long nails bc of their shape.)she slams hands on table and starts talking about us with everyone else with lots of anger. I asked if there was a problem and another gal said they were talking about the best way to remove her nails. The angered technician then walks away, storms outside, paces around, comes back inside and TAKES ANOTHER PERSON AS A CLIENT. She keeps glaring back which I only noticed in disbelief when looking her way and realizing she was in the pedicure for the long haul. We sat there for 45mins with no one interacting with us. We were about to leave then someone starts working on Scarlett, another 30min wait, etc. we ended up being there for 3.5hrs , waiting because this technician was so angry with us the desertion created this awful domino effect. We were just getting two dips with one tip. When the owner checked us out, we were told the total was $125! after the terrible service, and 4 different people working to get my daughters nails done (4long waits in between), they must’ve charged us for the tips that the lady told me she shortened bc my daughters fingers weren’t shaped right for long nails. While telling the owner about her employee while paying this outrageous bill, she told me that this girl had complaints earlier in the day so this was her breaking point and they’re always busy so she’s had a long day….? Really?! We were talked about and clearly disliked for 3.5hrs, left for a different customer that came in after me (which created our 3.5hr wait until they completed our nails) overcharged, absolute zero customer service ! Price’s ridiculous (they charge you to remove your existing dip also!! Even if it’s their existing dip they applied!) but no respect for customers time at all. I will never go back.

I moved to the west side of Michigan a year & a 1/2 ago, I visited a handful of nail salons but was not happy until I found JV Nails in Allendale. Alice has been doing my nails & I couldn't be happier with her work & the quality!

This salon is absolutely terrible! I have gotten my nails done my whole life and I have never been treated so poorly. I left bawling my eyes out, they butchered my acrylics and when I asked for a refund they removed them and returned my $50.00 in all ones, and intentionally ruined my real nails. I have never been so upset:( take my word and go else where!!!!

This was an amazing experience! The attention to detail was INCREDIBLE! Moreover, she was very gentle and kind with my nails. My cuticles have never received more care and attention. No residue was left on, around, or underneath the nails. I’ve never been this happy with my nails, even though I am fairly new to getting them done. This will be my favorite spot from now on, and I cannot wait to go again!

Went here because it's closer to where I live instead of my regular girl I go to in Grand Rapids because she was on vacation and I just need to fill in and one nail replaced and that one nail broke a week later and I went back and they charge me seven dollars and didn't even do it right the second time either I won't be back
