Was in town for the weekend and our last day after a wild night out we decided to get some deep tissue massages before flying back home the next day. Very happy with this place, Great service, fair prices. We did a couples massage followed by some time in the sauna.

Excellent massage spot downtown SLC. Reliably great massage for the right price- similar level of service I’ve had at any high end hotel or spa. Been coming here regularly for a couple of years. Highly recommend.

This place is amazing! I got a deep tissue and cupping chi massage from David and I came out like a new person! My posture is better and my back pain is gone! He literally fixed me and helped me release all of the stress and tension I’ve had trapped in my body for years! Thank you so much David I will be back anytime I’m in Salt Lake City!

We got massages done on Monday. Painful, got bruised and sat on. We asked them to go lighter a few times. But the speed was way too fast and aggressive. I have actual bruises on my body and the lady jumped on me and sat down without asking. We were so over the massage that we didn't even mention that they didn't massage for the full 90 minutes we paid for. Not mention they wanted more than 20% tip for the massage. We just basically paid them what they wanted so we could leave. We had to get remassaged somewhere else. My masseuse said I was extremely bruised and they didnt even get the knots out. What a waste of money! Stay away from here! To the Owner: Yes, we did go there. I have no idea why she sat on me and no we did not ask for the deep tissue massage. We asked for relaxing massages. You said It's extremely rare, so it's happened before? Maybe you don't know what actually is happening in the rooms. Also the Massuse I went to said there was no reason to have such bruises on me.

Asking for additional tips is not professional. If you want more just charge more for the massage in the first place. Will not be returning. **Edit** Changing to one star due to owner response. I actually tipped $20 voluntarily - did not try to walk out. If you want to charge more, charge more. My mom owns a successful massage business in Oregon. When I told her what you did, she gasped and was shocked at how unprofessional that is. Do better or close your doors.

I came in with an angry headache, and walked out in complete peace and relaxation. ANNIE did an incredible job at working out all the knots in my neck and shoulders. It was painful at first, but I knew it was necessary to feel better. She is by far the most skilled when it comes to reflexology and deep tissue massage. I see people leaving bad reviews complaining about the tip request, but in the grand scheme of things--this is a hard job and they deserve more than standard tip--in just 1 hour, Annie did a better job than any franchised massage or overpriced 5-star resort I've experienced. If you're looking for foofy swedish, go somewhere else--if you want results, this place is it.

Undoubtedly, the best massage in town! My therapist Wendy released all my tension and knots with the perfect amount of pressure. Ahhh....heaven! I've been to J massage several times now, and it is my favorite. Thanks, Wendy! I recommend her highly! 11 stars from me!

I want to start out saying that the massage was great. All of my pain points were hit well but the massage and ambience were a bit rough. The masseuse had nails on the longer side which I could feel and there was someone talking really loud in the room next door. I wanted to really like this place but I think other guests going to this place should know that you are asked to pay before the service is done (which I think is a bit weird) and at the end of my massage I was pressured into tipping more than I wanted. I believe as a customer I should have the discretion to rate the service as I please. There are no rules that say I as a customer am not allowed to tip 10 percent based on the service that was given? Never in my life- I have been all over the world- have I ever been pressured to tip more. If you’re paying with card it’s an extra 5 dollars. But if you tip later there’s no more 5 dollar charge. Lol doesn’t make sense. Just shocking and puts a bad taste in your mouth. Great massage but this is an experience I wouldn’t recommend.

I have visited J Spa about 3 times now. This place is excellent. The ladies who work there really know what they are doing. I'm used to getting deep tissue massages for the past 5+ years and let me tell you, this place knows what it's doing. A 60 min service is about $85 (after the fee they charge for using the card machine). I usually tip another $20 on top and the employees really appreciate it.

Very great experience my therapist knew exactly what my body needed to relax and she got rid of my pain I've never had anyone walk on me to massage but it did the trick I walked in with pain and a migraine and left with no pain and my migraine was gone worth every penny that I paid and she was very welcoming

Paid $120 for a 90 minutes massage. Lady was real thorough and got in good and deep when she walked on my back, gave a good head massage too. Then time came to tip, website suggested 20% as a decent tip (as they've had issues with this before), so that's what I was going to give, she then insisted on a 30% tip and went ahead and tapped in on the screen without my say so. Decided not to say anything, but definitely won't be doing business with them again.

Sadly I am changing my review to one star after being haggled by two different therapists to give a 30% tip because most people do even while I often provide the customary 20% cash tip. In all my 35 years of receiving massages I have never been told I needed to tip more, and this severely impacts the experience. I will not return because tipping is a choice and certainly they can refuse to provide me a massage.

She did work on the spot I needed massaged out, however it was an unusual massage. I’ve had many massages done before, and this masseuse didn’t seem like she knew where tendons, muscle and knots were. She tried to up charge me during the massage while I’m supposed to be relaxing. I declined. Before I left the parlor I tipped 20%, and she asked if I had a credit card or more cash because she wasn’t happy with the tip. I would not return.

They got my husband and I in today for a 90 minute couples massage for $240(+$5 for using a credit card), going rate where we live in Florida is $210 for a couples 90 minute, whatever. The massage therapists were great but when trying to leave a tip they weren’t satisfied with $20 each, they wanted 30%, $36 tip each for an additional $72. They had an attitude and tried pressuring us to leave more, that’s not how you do business. We already paid for a service, a tip is above and beyond that, not required and should not be expected but appreciated. They’re lucky my husband still gave $40, I was about to walk out and give them nothing, greedy. If they’re making waitress salary I understand living on tips but for a licensed massage therapist I doubt that’s the case, maybe the owner should pay their therapists more so they aren’t pandering clients for a bigger tip. I would never go back after the way they treated us and made us feel and apparently we aren’t the only ones after reading the reviews. As a business owner I’d be reading feedback and changing the way business is done and how to treat a customer. To the owner. NO, that does not clarify anything, every massage company offers deep tissue, you’re the only company ‘requiring’ a 30% tip. Also, not everyone reads every section of a website, I booked over the phone for a 90 min couples massage, not once did I say a deep tissue. You can ‘expect’ whatever tip you want, doesn’t mean you deserve it or should be ungrateful for what tip you receive and treat a customer that way. We didn’t ’expect’ to be treated with disrespect for a $40 tip, how disgusting. Get it together Bad business 👎🏼 DO NOT RECOMMEND
